Ed seems like such a great guy to be around. I'm glad you both got to meet him and work on that gorgeous CBR600 for him. Also, a man can never have enough tools or storage for tools
The uncomfortable/dicey feeling in the turns when hitting bumps always confused me until I had this explained to me. Motorcycle suspension works 100% when the bike is upright the more lean angle the rider adds during a turn the less the suspension is absorbing bumps. I don't know if I got the explanation fully correct. Bumps in a turn still are unnerving but at least I kind of understand what the bike is doing.
the honda f2/f3/f4 i would class more as a sports tourer than a all out sportsbike ,hence the riding position being more upright . cracking bike,s ,and very economical on fuel . and pretty much bullet proof engines . ideal first big bike for someone who,s passed there bigboy licence :) they where very popular in uk when they came out ,as i first bigbike for new riders ,they where perfect . and it just shows you , how good these machines are ,that there still on the roads today . bless his cotton socks , his butt cheeks would puckerd if he rode my gsxr1000 lol ,even my old gsxr750 98fi ,would scare you silly :) scared me a few times haha ,but each to there own . we all travel from A to B ,just some of us get there faster ,some get there slower , it,s all about the journey :)
Curious to hear Jake's thoughts on the Zero. Someone tossed me the keys to theirs and I came back with a grin I couldn't wipe off my ugly mug. Instant torque is pretty cool on 2 wheels.
4:40 inline carburetors aren't really any harder to work on. You just need a synchronizer gauge tool.....I was just thinking about the new knock off electronic smart carburetors. If they work good for much cheaper. A person could use 2 of them with 2 Y intakes & it'd be like having fuel injection with less parts.
Sometimes, when you really love something, you have to let it go if you know it's not going to be given a life, someone'll love that bike for sure... :)
i cant wait to hear Jake's thoughts and opinions on the elec bike. I'm looking forward to riding, maybe owning one in the near future with the way they are evolving and progressing so quickly!
I had a feeling that you would be a little hesitant to want to ride the CBR long term. They are fast, no doubt and you didn't get a chance to experience a wet road surface. I can tell you from experience, sewer lids and tar strips are not your friends. Triple the feeling that you had in a turn, and you have an idea of the "fun" you would have. Glad you changed your mind on crotch rockets. You're going to enjoy many more years riding your mechanics stool. But you did a hell of a job getting it running perfectly.
I have a feeling that the fork hasn't been serviced for many years, possibly a bit of watery mud left in there. I owned a low mileage 2001 F4 briefly back in 2009 and it was a dream on corners (even though I never exceeded 100km/h).
Whilst I'm not all too clued up on mechanics yet... Something i do know a lot about is microphones and recording outside as that is my profession. Instead of upgrading your microphone. The first thing to try would to buy better wind protection for it. For heavier winds you need a little more than either the naked mic or a bit of foam sponge. Pick yourself up either a fur cover that wraps over it. Or if its one of those like the Rode Wireless go you can get stick on fur pads that cover the hole. Now this won't be absolutely perfect by any stretch. It'll do you a world of good. Likewise with Camera girls set up too, Assuming it's a mic plugged into a DSLR. Sort something out for that for the outdoor shots.
Nice gifts, thanks Ed!

I had the same bike same year. Mine was yellow white and purple. Lots done to it. I miss that bike.

Thanks for the midweek up load.

that goes with any bike..
did you check the tire pressure? those bikes really feel dicey when the tires are just a little low.
Hey! I’m hoping to be able to buy that cap soon! (:
Now I have to go watch the other videos again so I can bust your chops. Lol
great videos
Those are very, very good bikes, at least from what I’ve heard, it’s always cool to see those older 1990’s sportbikes on YT, 👍👌✌

Thirty ish year old dampeners and springs, always feel sketchy over forty. Probly just old rubber. You'll get the hang of it mate...👍🏴
i miss the daily’s. 😢
🎉
Wish we could have more videos with camera girl in them, she's awesome. just a thought
Don't you mean domesticated rooster 😅😅😅
I laughed so hard when you said that last time 😂
mazda B2200 Cab+ . Not many of those on the road anymore.
The teeth match the commercial
Liter bikes are where it's at
Kind of a strange but doable ending to this video/ series…..
no you are good
Probably worn suspension, and you're somewhat of a bigger guy for stock suspension IMO
🎉
