Congratulations, watched all the episodes while rehabbing from a knee replacement. I had a lab named Itasca after the lake which is the headwaters of the Mississippi
Thanks You for sharing your trip down the Mississippi. My parents owned several houseboats in St. Louis on Alton Pool 26. I now own my own 57 Carls Craft houseboat and enjoy every minute I spend on it. Please keep us updated on your upcoming adventures and let us know how Ponce is doing.
Thank you for the support. My parents own a 1950's houseboat that I grew up on and we still take it out. It's a great way to grow up. Stay tuned, more adventures to follow.
Well, as Margaret says in the introduction, "It will be a wild ride!". It certainly was at the end. Once I got to #37, I had to binge until the end. Great storytelling and video production to capture the adventure. Loved how the characters (canoe/river-friends) linked up when help was needed. Congratulations on a journey well lived. It was educational (all the loopers turn off at the Ohio River) now we know why. You are an inspiration. Hope you continue to have fulfilling travels in the future.
Thank you for the kind words and following along. You would think we wrote a script or acted it out with the canoers showing back up in the story. LOL! Glad you enjoyed the series. We're hoping to put some more stuff together eventually.
That had never crossed our minds before, but the more we've learned about it, the more we want to do it. Unfortunately, I think we'll need to swap out vessels to make that journey.
Yeah! Thanks so much for the hours and hours of documenting and creating these videos!! Loved following along with your spirit of adventure...I know it continues!
Thanks so much for the support and following along. And the acknowledgement of the work that has gone into making these UA-cam videos. As trying as the adventure was, I'd dare say making the UA-cam videos was more trying. 🤣 Stay tuned, more to come.
YYYEEAAAAAA!!!! Great job. Home at last. Thanks for all the hard work making this trip and documenting it. Hope to make this trip before I get much older. on my pontoon.
Thank you! It's been quite the journey. Of course the trip, but especially learning and making UA-cam videos. You should definitely make your trip and hopefully we've provided some inspiration. Stay tuned. More to come.
I’m really glad you got the boat and yourselves home safe. Going to miss see you guys. I have been watching your adventures from the beginning and it fells like I have really gotten to know you both really well. Like family! Have a great life from your friends in Ontario Canada.
Thank you for your support and following along. Glad you were able to connect through the videos. We still plan to post videos as we've since built an RV park in the marsh next to the houseboat and are planning another trip soon. Let us know if you make it down this way or we'll be sure to reach out if we find ourselves up your way. Cheers!
congratulations on finishing the trip! So close to 1000 subs! How's Ponce doing with the little one? My lab decided he was gonna be an "outside dog" when my son was 3yo...Dog just couldn't take the ear pullin and my kid sitting on him no more...Buster(dog) wouldn't come inside no more lol. Keep on keepin on!
Thanks for the support and following along. Good catch on the 1000 subs, we finally hit 1000 today and we are ecstatic! Unfortunately, sad news about Ponce that we'll share soon, but he's a special dog for sure.
Hi Jo! We're still here, have just been figuring out how we were going to proceed. You'll be happy to know that Episode 43 is out now and we hope to have more in the future.
So proud of y'all
That's quite an adventure.......😮
Thanks. Just going down the Mississippi River should've been enough, but throw in the closed lock and hurricane and it was quite the adventure indeed.
Congratulations on a job well done!!! Thank you for sharing this Great Adventure with the world. God Bless you two.
Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it. Please continue to follow as we've put out some more videos and hope to have new ones in the near future.

The wife and I enjoyed watching your trip. It was even more special that you were starting out in Winona Minnesota. (Our hometown.)
We're so happy to hear that and really appreciate your support. We loved Winona and have been talking about a possible return trip in the future.
