On days like this, they alone make me want to carry on
Throughout the day I kept hearing all the details
Though I didn't check in much or watch the news
Some tragedies, you know, they have no explanation
And the word “everything” don't cover what you lose
So I spent the whole day pacing back and forth all by my lonesome
Questioning the point and trying to write a song
And it sure is hard to focus on anything at all
And you can't get something right when everything feels wrong

My wife and I shared a beer and talked about the future
Agreeing on the fact that we would have to find a way

I put this on my Facebook page after the Uvalde shooting. I don't do politics on Facebook.I do families. This song certainly seemed appropriate to the tragedy. Beautiful and thoughtful song.
Well put, gave up that crap a long time ago. Yet here I am on YT, but I find myself steering towards positivity more and more.
It's a choice to be cruel and so often the one made. The choice I've made far too often.
Now, I make greater efforts to do otherwise.

Reflecting on yet another, senseless school shooting…. Why are our kids continuing to kill each other? As a mother and elementary school teacher, it rocks me to my very core. This song is so appropriate, and has been playing on repeat in my mind for days. Prayers to the families of the victims in Oxford, Michigan. 💔
Read Malcolm Gladwell’s article “Thresholds of Violence” It may shed some light for you. Also in my opinion, is the fact that America has turned it’s back on God and Biblical principles... As we do this, darkness is all that is left. America needs revival🙏
