The best way to do Hollywood studios and Epcot is to stay in the Epcot Resorts. For Hollywood get up early and walk over along the path that goes along Boardwalk Villas. If you get up early enough you will be in front of the line. At 7 am buy a individual lightning lane for for Rise of the resistance for late morning. Once you are let into park at opening go-to Slinky Dog because Genie plus fills up fast for this. When you get off Slinky Dog do You Story mania. When you get off Toy story mania go over to either Tower of terror or Millennium Falcon or Mickey and Minnie's runaway. After your choice of these the park will have opened for guests who are staying off property but most will go to Slinky Dog or Rise of the resistance so the wait time for the other two you didn't choose between Millennium, Tower or Mickey and Minnie shouldn't be that long. After those go to Star tours or whatever because you already did most of the rides and it is only late morning. Now you can go do your individual lightning lane for Rise go have lunch....have a great time!
We went last January and Slinky was the only one we couldn’t (wouldn’t) wait for. That wait time was long ALL day long. Oddly enough, we got to ride Rise twice with 20 minute wait times. The trick is not to rush to that one first. I have found that Rise goes down throughout the afternoon and evening. So my advice if you don’t buy Genie, rope drop Slinky and wait for Rise time to drop.
RotR has gotten a lot more stable. Rope drop is usually a toss up between the two. I just wish they would fix the moving canons in Rise. That was a super nice feature going through the battle scene.
@@LChatmanFL we rope dropped it when we went and it broke down. By then it was too late for Slinky so I plan to redo my strategy for the next time. Slinky was about an hour the whole day!
@Penelope Pitstop Either way probably works. Just checked the app... slinky is 85 mins and Rise is 95 mins. If you stay on property use the early admission for one & LL the other. If the 2nd one is early in the morning then you can knock them both out by 10am.
@@LChatmanFL yeah we were at the dolphin so we got in early and it was still packed! To be honest, I have been against Genie, but I am considering trying it out next time, just to give it a chance, maybe at HS and MK.
@Penelope Pitstop Love love the Swan & Dolphin stayed there a month b4 covid hit and again 22. I buy genie 50% of the time for me & my son so I am not buying it for a family of 5. But I will say, it has value to me. I can stack LL 3 or 4 deep and really shorten the day.
Evening stacking is a great strategy if you want a slow start to your day. Back in February I didn't wanna rush out to the parks so I just stacked up 5 lightning lanes for Hollywood Studios later in the evening and still had a great day overall.
Truth! But if they are going to continue this blatant money grab, I at least wish it had more value - like including ALL the rides in Genie+. This ILL garbage is just infuriating.
@@SNESJerry What do you mean never really free? Which part? I know for multiple decades, fast passes were free. Last time I visited DW was in 2017, and I didn't need to pay anything extra to secure fast passes for my party. The only add-on we had was the memory maker so we could get all the ride photos. So all this new Genie+ and Lightning Lanes, and virtual queues really sounds like a way of complicating things just to create more ways to charge people, on top of increased ticking prices.
@snesjerry I see what you mean, but I would rather them just raise the ticket prices that $15-$20 for everyone and still give us the fastpass+ system back. That way it wouldn't feel so much as if they were trying to separate the haves from the have-nots. Plus, it is just a morale downer for the customer to feel constantly nickled and dimed. Not exactly "magical."
Hi, Im from Europe and am planning to go to one of the Rise's in the world at once. Can I just "buy" my way in (paying, without waiting in line on 7 o clock in the morning?). I plan to go one day, so when I wanna go 1 day to the park, in my life, i just want to enter. if it costs money to have guarantee for the ride... so it be... as long as im in..
Hey can you do a video about the Assessibility that disney world offers for families who have kids with autism and other disorders please 🙏 The das my son as autism and i got to use the das its free Lightning lane but you have to book a ride/show one at a time ⏲️
If my whole party is using genie + but I need to use rider switch, can we all book the next genie plus after party 1 has tapped into the ride or do we need to wait for me to use my rider switch pass before we can book the next genie plus ride? Also, rise of the resistance is not listed as a ride that accepts rider switch. Is that really the case? Please to a video on rider switch :)
Is only the a la carte lightning lanes max 2 at a time? Does it apply to when you have a regular lightning lane and 1 a la cart? Is there a max for just regular lightning lanes?
I seriously hope they never go back to the insanity of Fastpass+ and giving preferred selection to resort guests at 60 days in advance. No offense, but selecting the Lightning Lanes on the day of your visit does make everything more equal since all the Lightning Lanes are not going to be completely booked before you even purchase your tickets or make a park reservation (Never once saw a Flight of Passage or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train FP+ during its service), otherwise, we are looking at another scenario when all that will be able to book are worthless theater LL. Hope Genie+ stays how it is, however, I have to say that the way it worked at Disneyland (flat fee) is better than the based on demand price that WDW has.
That is slow season and if you are there during the week (Tues,Wed, Thurs) you likely can get away without it, but the weekends are still busy. It also depends on where you are staying - noting that if you are staying on property you get in early - and YOU might get extra hours at night on some days if you are in a top Disney Hotel, but if you are staying off Property it will be less advantageous.
Was just there on Saturday and spent 40 bucks for me and my son on Genie+. He wanted slinkydog 1st so at 7am we got it for a 1:40pm return time. We roped dropped RotR and waited about 40 mins. At 9am started stacking LL and booked millennium falcon, then Toy Story Mania, Star Tours & squeezed in Swirling Sauces because it was a 10 min queue. We were done at 12:30 & decided to skip slinkydog. Left and went to Universal. Good day. Had reservations for Roundup at 11:30 but canceled.
And even if you book a lightning lane for the next opening, which happens to be 4hrs later, you're NOT GUARANTEED TO EVEN BE ABLE TO USE IT We booked it for Soaring over California at 12 o'clock, the next opening was 4 o'clock. We couldn't use any Lightning Lanes for 4 HOURS. 30 minutes before it was our time, Genie+ said "no more lightning lanes are available, because the wait time is 170 minutes" Then we went over to Disneyland and I was able to use it one more time before Disneyland closed By the end of that day I only got to use my Genie plus pass a total of 3 times
You can select your next LL when you redeem it or 2 hours have elapsed, whichever comes first, so you wouldn’t have to wait 4 hours to select another ride
With an Annual Pass in the past, I was able to go there for certain rides and them leave to go to other parks. Frankly I think Animal Kingdom is no better - especially if you have already been there a few times.

Definitely worth it for this park, especially on very HOT days.

This is SO confusing, much prefer just buy an Express pass, like at Universal. Why does Disney make it so complicated???
Great video!! These tips are so helpful! Please make a video about using Genie Plus in DisneyLand and Disney’s California Adventure!
love this information thank you!!!
We have half day tickets (so we can get in at 1pm). If we buy genie+ will we be able to get the ride times for when we will be in the park?

You can book 2 individual lightning lanes per day. There’s no max for the Genie+ lightning lanes, just as many as your able to get

If we make a modification does our 120 minute wait time start over?
Nope! It’ll keep your original time if you modify
You are cool 😎
