The escape room idea has seized my brain. I’m seeing themes like escaping the Cave of Wonders, a Death Star prison block, Sid’s room, and so many others.
Why is Disney copying Universal? Letting Universal find out the money making things first? Sitting on their laurels while throwing money at bad ideas. Sad.
Disney Quest had so many memories for me. We always went there on every trip. Especially towards the end of its life when we knew it was gonna close. Always made me feel like a kid as I got older
I loved disney quest so I'm all for bringing that back. But I love your idea of a multilevel food court. I'd love character dining at disney springs too
EPCOT's transformation is one of the most disappointing things Disney has ever done, I know that post-COVID things couldn't move like they did before for a couple of years, however we are well out of that and the fact that they just decided to shelf everything and give us mediocre results just shows that they don't care how excited we all were for what they told us was coming
Bring back Disney Quest. Was fun going there in 2006. Making it Wreck It Ralph themed would be cool. I wanna play Sugar Rush! Forgot about the Star Wars hotel, which Disney has also filed permits for work to be done on. I imagine they'll bring it back as a more typical themed hotel.
I went to DisneyQuest once and it was so much fun. What a coincidence, I’m actually working at Chuck E. Cheese, and they are remodeling the locations. They have to reopen the Muppets merchandise store in honor of their 70th anniversary and permanently. I would have to say “Turn the abandoned NBA experience into something special for The Muppets, like a weekend only event for Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem.
I think the biggest issue with Stitch is the building itself and asbestos. The building is old, and in order to put anything new in there, they’d have to demo the whole building and rebuild it to code with current asbestos laws. However, not only would demolition require them to shut down the People Mover to do, but it’d require them to shut down Cosmic Rays, which is the second-busiest restaurant in the world (beaten only by a McDonald’s in China, I believe). To lose Cosmic Rays, even temporarily, would really hurt Magic Kingdom financially.
I miss original ideas in Disney parks. Shoving in a bunch of established IPs has cheapened the experiences. I particularly miss the edutainment angle of Epcot. And the little theme park, well, themes. Little stories, characters, lore, establishing why the park is how it is... stuff that makes you keep going back and explore more. Miss it so. I haven't forgotten them, Disney!
We LOVED Pirate's League! We preferred that experience over BBB. Also, the Lilo's Playhouse at Poly allowed the older family members to enjoy an evening at a park riding the thrill rides while the little ones had a blast.
Okay, what about the old ESPN zone at Downtown Disney in Anaheim? That place has been abandoned and used as extra event space for a while now. The old Rainforest Cafe over there could easily become a new restaurant or bar but, nope. They made it a Star Wars shop to hype up the terrible sequel trilogy. Why waste a perfectly good commercial kitchen? Yes I know you guys tend to focus on WDW, but what about the OG park? Disneyland needs more love too.
I loved Disney Quest but I definitely understand why they got rid of it because it was super outdated when I went. I think that bringing the arcade back in some capacity would be a good thing but I think they need a couple it with additional entertainment in the same building like maybe a bowling alley and some Escape rooms just some different things to help boost the quality of entertainment. Also Disney Quest was super expensive for what it was at the time so adding more things would help justify the higher ticket price.
Disney Quest building could become a play cafe… where kids can play and adults can sit in the A/C and eat & drink! An Inside Out theme would be incredible
I still remember the Buzz Lightyear of Star Command movie / show... I don't think I'd watch it again now, simply because that version of Zurg gives me the creeps, but I did enjoy both as a kid. I actually have a toy of Zurg (back then, I quite frankly loved him in both TS2 and BLSC designs) and creepy as he is, I am using him as a status symbol. :P Just like if I still had my VHS, it would be a status symbol to prove that I was there.
I’m confused on the comment about Stitch’s Great Escape. You said there wasn’t enough room for a full fledged ride… but it’s been a ride in the past? I did notice the MNSSHP m&g queue was outside this year which was less favorable but fun to walk by and see Stitch even after meeting him.
im sad about frontier land :( that was my favorite as a kid. walking into it and then exploring splash mountain cavers waiting for the ride ugh I am sad
I loved Stitch’s Escape thingy… and the last time I went to WDW I was hoping to take my kids in there (I went by myself the first time because I was at a conference there) but it was closed. 😢
I really appreciate your channel. It is information galore!!! It was the best when I took my family five years ago. But, I just about had it with Disney. I don't think I could docthat to my bank account anymore.
I was such a big Disney Quest fan. But it was always plagued by the Tomorrowland problem. Staying on the cutting edge of tech and envisioning the future requires updates at a pace too fast for the theme park business model.
understandable, never got to experience Disney Quest-But Disneyland had Innoventions in tomorrowland. It was unable to remain 'cutting edge' and closed rather soon.
For people from other countries, if Disney stopped taking cash, it would be a major inconvenience, as most people are sensible enough to use what is in their wallet or purse. Also, many people would not know that disney wouldn't take cash beforehand, and would end up having their card blocked by their bank for possible fraud usage. Another reason is that every time a UK card is used abroad, the user has to pay a high fee of around £5.00 to £7.00 each time a item is bought.
I guess the way it's going lately the Starcruiser will be a soulless corporate concrete blockhouse soon. And then a DVC hotel. Cause, boy, what we need is more DVC property.
Tommrow land terrace never one has been open and I've been there like 15 times to diwney as a kid it's crazy but I say it's always a good place to watch fireworks that's where my dad and grandpa ride up on there little buggies and score the bewt seats towards firework time while the rest of us still ride last few min rides
The biggest point "Disney Corp" wants us to forget - Walt's dream of making an amusement park for families to enjoy! He created rides that children and adults would enjoy together. NOT NOW! Family rides are being replaced by roller coast type, that are 2 minutes long with long lines. Example: they replace "The Great Movie Ride" with "Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railroad". Think about all the new rides - fast, roller coaster type. They destroyed Epcot's Imagination, they refuse to update the Carousel of Progress, Spaceship Earth? they postponed that once again. The worst - destroying Tom Sawyer Island and filling in the water around it!!! Instead of adding to these places to create places as Walt intended - they destroy it for fast individual rides - eliminating children and adults enjoying them together. I am not against having these new rides - I am against them replacing the original rides. Update the ones that are not drawing the crowds. Tom Sawyers Island could be a place to go back to nature. Add more walkways, slides, mazes and have an ice cream parlor with relaxing area by the shore. Liberty Belle - have characters from Tiana's movie as well as its music on it. Keep Walt's dream alive!
@@Vivian-ks7jr Of course it depends on the age of the child for certain rides - like Haunted Mansion, even Pirates of the Caribbean. However, for older children the Great Movie Ride was a long fun ride for everyone. I know Runaway Railway is a fun short ride but could have been put in many other areas of the park and Disney could have just updated the Movie Ride.
Can we have an everybody wants to be a cat experience and love on cats??? What about an escape room with the rescuers bernard and bianca to help you escape???
Buy up a few Tilt-a-Whirls and HImalayas and Scramblers, slap a quick Disney-fied coat of paint on them and set them up in the empty buildings. Add some cotton candy booths and the like and theme it as "County Fair" nostalgia.
They tried that with Disney California Adventure in Anaheim. It failed and led to the crisis identity they have there now. People just don't go to Disney parks for "County Fair" experience.
They are selling too many tickets to these after hours parties. The Halloween party wasn't near as good as it was when we went in 2020. Ride lines and candy lines were way too long and didn't get free drinks and popcorn. Very disappointing party.
Disney could make bank with a Disney Park Time Machine VR experience. Getting to experience defunct rides or attractions the parks had through Virtual Reality. That or expansions for the DisneyLand Video Game for Xbox360 (Rip chances of that ever happening). With little history and trivia facts about the ride, attraction, Area of the park and why it shut down.
My husband has one of those VR thingies and we both wondered why we hadn’t seen a Disney virtual game! That would be so cool. I would like to be able to virtually experience the parks.
@@penelopepitstop762 the closest we have is the aforementioned DisneyLand game for XBox360 Kinect. Its a 1 to 1 layout of the Disney Land map at the time but you do quests for the Disney Characters throughout the park.
I'm going to be honest, when I saw the video pop up initially, I thought there going to be smack talk on the Starcruiser, and I'm so glad that didn't happen. I have nothing but happy memories of that, even if it was cost intensive (that's why I saved up to do it, no regrets)
"Cash is so much slower than credit cards" has to be one of the biggest lies the credit/debit card industry pushes. Stand at your local retail or fast food place sometime behind your average Karen who, despite the fact ATMs and credit card machines have been around for literally 6 decades now, are still baffled at how to work them and waste a full minute of my life every time I get in line. Just do yourself and everyone else around you a favor by carrying cash, and put it someplace the pick pockets can't get to it.
The escape room idea has seized my brain. I’m seeing themes like escaping the Cave of Wonders, a Death Star prison block, Sid’s room, and so many others.

I always think that building should be turned into a Wreck It Ralph themed arcade
