Alright guys so i was a little delayed getting this video up. This video was filmed just before the blue fish invasion here across Long Island!
In this video i took my first trip out to the open beaches to do my first surf fishing sesh of the season. I check out both the south shore and north shore of LI. Luckily i was able to get into a few fish at both beaches but there wasn't really any good size to them, mostly all diaper stripers, but hey at least i didn't skunk! The EliasVFishing Extreme Peanut Shads got me all my bites on this one. Overall it was a fun two days exploring some beaches and catching fish in the surf again!

Im about to grab an 8'6" frontier, the reviews seem good on the rod and the 9'6" is a very popular option. I think you'll like it a lot, and it should be perfect as a lighter option.
You should look into century rods if you want a high end rod. Century sling shot 9’6. Quality rods.

I have an odm and a few gsbs. Really love my lamis. Either way can’t go wrong. 9 MF is ideal all around setup. 91/2 might as well be a 10.

Why not try to find a lami GSB blank and have it cut to whatever size you want and then have it built. My 2 Ls are both 1321L blanks one cut to 10'06" and 1 to 9'04".

I have the 10’6 frontier x rated 3 to 8oz it’s an amazin rod paired wit a 8000 Stella, but I jus customized a 9’2 black hole striper surf rod rated 3/4 to 3oz an I have that paired wit a 5000 Stella an that’s my go to rod they also have a 9’6 rated 1 to 5oz. Idk why but I been hearing a lot a negative reviews on the lamiglass rods with customer service and other things but I’ll leave that up to you to decide, I jus thought I’d give you my opinion, and I’m still catchin schoolies over where I’m at in the Massachusetts area but they’ve been covered in sea lice, other then that nice vid I hope you have an awesome season..🤙🏼🤙🏼..
