In todays session,
I wanted to put Alejandro through a session that worked on his pivoting motion off of the post and movement to an angle. From the beginning of the session, I wanted to introduce the concept so that he would feel comfortable once we moved further into the progressions. There are still a few things that we need to fine tune with his technique, but all in all, I felt it was a very productive session with lots of functional movements and clean handling.
Thanks again for watching and let me know what you guys think!

Love it coach Omar! keep up the great work
ARS Goalkeeping?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!
Am a goalkeeper l will like to be train like this
A great, simple, yet very functional progression training. What is important also is the fact that most balls were within 3 yard radius even on the dives. Repetition of balls served within your 3 yard radius is crucial because most of the saves will be within your 3 yard radius of your position. Keepers must become AUTOMATIC within their 3 yard radius. Great service by the way Omar....
These coach know what his doing ,he know whats up 💯🔥
Great drills! And your service is truly excellent 💪 I really liked the smooth progressions from one drill to the next and how they emphasise on good positioning 🔥
Mando did the same thing jumping into his set shape which brought his way too low and unable to move out of it. I think with him and Alejandro, when it's a pulse instead of a jump that allows for better mobility into the next phase of the save. Love this video
Great service from you!
Apart from some concentration mistakes, his handling is great, too.
Love this! Always look for your videos, I think you have the best Goalkeeping Drills Content on UA-cam. Keep them coming lads!
Great workout and lovely service.

Top Class OZ!!! Love your work!!!!
Omar your service is on point in this video
Robert Montanaro 🙏
GREAT VIDEO! Some excellent coaching points and a very observant eye for technical correction. Especially like the point regarding the jump squat which is a huge issue with a lot of goalkeepers. He has very clean handling, but this suffers at times as he fails to stay square to the ball when it is travelling outside the line of his body ( 07:36 ). Also interested as to the reason you asked him to sink when setting before a strike? Although this loads the leg muscles, it also makes him smaller and forces his weight downwards making it harder/slower to explode back upwards. this is evident at 8:33 when he sinks prior to the shot and his head ends up below the ball as he cannot push back up in time - going back to the point you made about optimal hand eye coordination. Observe the save at 8:43 when he actually doesn't sink prior to the shot and the following save at 8:47 when he does, and it shows a perfect example of the contrast in sinking prior to a shot and staying big (Mignolet Vs. Pickford). Getting lower tends to immobilise the feet making it harder to step into the save. No correct or incorrect - just food for thought.
Anyway - great vid and one I would definitely recommend for aspiring/developing goalkeepers! keep up the good work!

I like to clip you a lot, practice the goalkeeper skills and want you to keep going. I'm from Thailand
great service Omar, what are some ways you can work on your handling by your self?
Enjoy the content! Quality Gk!
Just 1 question for you?
1. Is there a specific reason you do a majority of your handling warm-up activities on the sidelines?
In cases where you are working on a field you want to preserve, it makes sense, however, you are training on turf. The GK loses a sense of positioning and spatial awareness when he or she is doing the activity on the flank due to the nature of the actions being unrealistic to the area the gk will be on matchday.

We're you always this good @ serving when you started your G.K coaching journey
I wish I could train with you
I am also an goalkeeper and this video is really useful for me....
This glove grip is waoh
I doubt you read this 3 years later, but how far apart do you like a goalie to have his legs when he is getting set? I notice Alejandro started narrow then shifted his feet wider as he was getting into the final position of his set. I see some pros set very wide now - such as Ederson from Man City - his feet are extremely wide at his set position; I had never seen that before...?
Mantap
YES VERY GOOD 😘😘😘👍👍👍👍
Didn't know omar speak spanish 😂
suparrr bossss
What gloves does he have called
Hello Omar, do you have any trainings in Seattle???
Omar. Puerto Rico Need You. hope you do something for goalkeepers in the island.
Great Spanish my friend!
😊
Any suggestions on consistent quality services for these drills? For someone without the skill level to accomplish it what would be an alternative?
Coach Moore I think the movements alone would be good coaching points, so even service from the hands (to keep it consistent) wouldn’t be a bad idea!
Only 7 goals conceded in this session. Not bad at all. 💯
im at 18
is there a reason why my left side low dive is good and my right side isn’t, and why is it the opposite because my right high dive is good and my left high dive isn’t ?
Have you any UEFA coaching badges or the equivalent in the US?
I wish I had that kind of training 😞💔 but no where at NY 😔
same bro, in taiwan
Same bro in India

You're not doing him any favors by reducing shot speed after he misses a ball.. In a match those balls aren't going to be coming at him any slower. Having said that, great training session and love how you explain everything in detail. Keep up the great work!
my wish to a goalkeeper
