"I have spent my whole life scared, frightened of things that could happen, might happen, might not happen, 50-years I spent like that. Finding myself awake at three in the morning. It’s Assistant TO the regional manager
6️⃣:4️⃣9️⃣
This episode was basically voiced by a single person. -In a sense,- it is the best (and most insane) monologue ever recorded.
Bojack would like to have a word about that
@@ErnestoMartinez15935 ^^This was it
@@ErnestoMartinez15935 to be honest 2 of the greatest cartoon episodes ever crated. i believe this and free churro are within the top 20 episodes in IMBD (btw attack on titan has like 3-5 episodes within those top 20 hahaha)
Pretty much, except Jeff Bryan Davis voiced the Simple Rick's commercials, but otherwise it's all Justin.
BloodyDIMISIS55 those two episodes have to be one of the best in American cartoon tv. But I’m not surprised that AoT has that many. It’s amazing!
"OMG I love Atlantis"
Me: "Welp, good luck with that"
I really hope that promo for season 5 tied into it somehow lmao
Well yeah, all that MERMAID PUSS WOOO
@@petfama4211 ong
@@petfama4211 o shit i didnt even think about that
This is easily my favorite episode of the show. It is absolutely amazing how much deep worldbuilding, thematic elements, and movie references they manage to cram into a single episode. It feels like a season finale, of an epic political drama, and yet the plot threads are easy to follow, without the season of setup required
Let's not forget how every single plot thread a very disconnected but perfectly synchonize into a great plot.
Oh. Weird. It's probably my least favorite. I didn't realize so many people loved this.
@@warmmilk9480 you probably didnt make a connection about the themes of the mini stories to pop culture references and real political events
One of my favorites too, top 5 easily
But I love the "lore" ones
There's theories going around that evil morty is actually Rick's original morty, that eventually went rogue
That explains the why of Rick treats Morty so bad. To keep him humble and avoid a second evil Morty.
I think that in the episode 1x10, Rick says to Morty "that a cocky Morty can bring a lot of problems."
I think that theory is actually right, because everything what Rick said like "cocky Morty can bring a lot of problems" and that he will explain when his current Morty will be older, then it probbably happened to his previous Morty.
@@korrdy Or another Rick and this became a common sense between all the Ricks: Confident morty= bad business.
If i remember correctly Rick is said to be comming after years of missing to his "original" family and morty (and I think it's stated that he missed morty's birth but not 100% sure about that), but when content of his brain is scanned by Rick controlled by evil morty in s01e10 he (in his memories) picks very young morty in his arms and later on little Morty hands him some tool when he repairs something, so either evil morty is his original one or the Morty we follow isn't our Rick original Morty either.
Maybe... But if you ever noticed, Evil Morty never stutters. If it was original rick's morty, he would probably be stuttering at some point.
This episode is in the top 5 for me

Top 3 for me with 105 and 204 :)
@@mikezeitgeist2 i thought the heist episode was funny
I love the continuity they maintain in the show like the crack in the concrete outside the garage from s1 when rick teleported the house and how it fades slightly over time 😂 the attention to detail in this show is brilliant
You guys are one of the few reactors that is able to level your sound so you don't blow out our ears and I love it. Thank you so much
This episode had many film references like Training Day, Stand by me, a Willy Wonka hostage situation. Highlights political and social issues as well. Great comedy and this episode was voiced by one guy 99% of the time. Evil Morty shows up out of nowhere and takes over the Citadel. To me this is the best episode of Rick and Morty.
Agreed. Just when i thought they couldnt go deeper...i gotta get something out of this episode tattoed
@@user-ft3ul5lp6z "Get the fuck off the car, you Rickless fucking animal!" is pretty good.
@@theperson8539 not a quote, an image. What do you think i should get?
@@user-ft3ul5lp6z If you have a really good tattoo artist, then a Brooklyn 99 poster shot but with Ricks and Mortys. If you have an average or decent one, then Evil Morty's insignia ought to work.
6:22 Notice how Cop Morty hated Morties so much, it costed him his life.
He killed Morty first, and that gave time to Rick to react...
Classic case of a minority/oppressed group turning pig.
10:55 , he's dead too haha:( , you can see him in the last scene with all of the ricks a mortys in space
Your reactions were just like everyone’s 😂😂!!!!
I feel like you don't seem to understand Dan Harmon's philosophy here, the reason we don't have a huge recurring villain is because Rick would only need 1 episode to deal with ANY threat. that's the point of him being not only A Rick, but the "rickest Rick" like he said, that's why defeating an actual "Thanos level threat", Worldender, while being blackout drunk is trivial and no big deal for Rick.
Evil Morty only survived this long by not revealing himself to our Rick, back in his original episode our Rick never finds out that the other Rick was a robot, since he doesn't have relations with the citadel, so for him that threat has been dealt with, while in reality Evil Morty operates under our Rick's nose by taking control of the citadel knowing our Rick gives 0 fucks about that place.
But that is dangerous since it will come a time when they will face each other and they are building up evil morty so much, it'd a shame if rick just solve this problem in just one episode
But Evil Morty is the Rickest Morty.
Of course we now know that Rick's only survived by separating their dimensions so they were the most intelligent there. Evil Morty will probably return in 2 seasons (S7+)
Yeah well he just revealed himself to our rick and defeated him sooooo seems like your theorys wrong
@@opsoo2229 Our Rick was put in a powerless position. His weapons and technologies are on Earth, and he had no way of leaving the citadel without facing the murder portals or rerouted Phoenix chamber. And it's also very obvious Rick didn't care about evil Morty, because evil Morty just wanted to leave, he had virtually no beef with Rick.
“I thought I was left handed morty... then you should use your left hand to ear more vegetables”
eat more
That's actually an important detail because if being left handed makes him special, it means that Mortys are right handed.
So... when "campaign manager" Morty tried to assassinate Evil Morty *with his left hand*, it made sense that he would miss since it's not his dominant hand.
@@obsidianchilly wow never thought about that
*"Come home to **_SIMPLE RICK_** "*
I kinda wished they got Sam Elliot to do that voice.
Bro!! Casey's reaction at the end LOL. SHE BLEW OUT MY PHONES 🔊 and I couldn't agree more
i'm glad they lowered the audio lol
Their excitement over the reveal was fantastic
In my book this is still the single best episode in the show. It's the most unique, that's for sure.
This is by far my favorite episode of R&M, so many social undertones, and of course Evil Morty. Really enjoyed ur reactions to this ep.
I definitely appreciated you lowering the sound while you screamed.
“What do you think it is? It’s secrets! Look how I’m dressed! “ lol
It’s THE episode 🔥
PLOT TWIST: Evil Morty just wants free Simple Ricks
This one was brilliant. Im gonna be honest, i wasnt really feeling season 3 back when it came out, but with this episode i was right back on board! Also the second half of season 4 totally pulled me back in.
But this one definitely is one of the best...
I feel the same way with season 4. The first half was really putting me off the whole show, but they made up for it big time with the second half.
How can you not feel szechuan sauce, pickle rick, vindicators and the next episode. S3 was the best season. Then comes s2+4 and then s1
@@ey.9329 opinions opinions. I ADORED episode 1 (despite the szechaun sause meme). After that it was good but not mindblowing until this episode. Still great tho dont get me wrong.
Honestly that’s disappointing
11:05 The Rick in the trench coat that gives Morty the documents about Evil Morty is also dead and floating at the end. This probably means the whole thing was a set up by Evil Morty to begin with.
Or...he was going for anyone looking into the truth...duh...
the rick that leaked the documents was among the dead floating at the end. he was just another chesspiece
“You don’t have to worry about this cowpoke talking, he’s just gonna mosey I’m outta here” lol
mosey on
The most amazing part of this episode is that, with the exception of young Beth laughing and the narrator, every single line in this episode is voiced by Justin Roiland.
Wish I could see this ep for the first time all over again. When the piano came in I was blown away.
One of the greatest episode of all time.... basically a great movie crushed into 25 mins..and don't forget the fact that it is voiced by one man..the legend Justin Roilnad.
I- i cant believe they forshadowed the central finite curve *in a wafer commercial*
They mentioned it in the first season, episode 10
BEST R & M episode ever! Really anything involving the Citadel of Ricks is awesome and this is ALL Citadel of Ricks.
im a simple man, I see rick and morty, I click.
Come home to Simple Rick's
That is our Rick, but in a different body. He switched consciousness with like three different Ricks back in S3E1.
The Atlantis part of the episode was a mostly fake out. You go in anticipating mermaids but get the madness of the Citadel.
Kacee’s face at “Mermaid Puss” hahahahahahaha. So great. Glad you guys enjoyed the episode - probably one of the most brilliant episodes of TV ever made.
when you made the "assistant to the regional manager" reference, I smiled so hard because I thought I was the only one that did that hahaha
I was having a really shitty day and now I’m smiling again because I got to “watch” this episode with you. 🥰
Anthony’s laugh is great hahaha. Good reaction guys 😂 I hope they tell the story of Antlantis
The creators have hinted at the idea that we don't always follow C-137 Rick and Morty unless they explicitly state it in the episode. It's also possible that our Rick isn't even from C-137 originally but took over that Rick's life either through his own hands or by him coincidentally dying and ours slipping into his life (like we saw Rick and Morty do in season one).
Commented this on the other corresponding video as well, but it's a personal theory of mine that the fabricated memory we see in the first episode of this season is actually a memory for this Rick (2:40). There are a few reasons I think this. One being that he has no memories of adult Beth, so he was likely captured after Diana and Beth were killed by the other Ricks after refusing to join them (or something else happened). Assuming the previous is true, it could be a reason as to why our Rick doesn't like the others (although i'm sure there are others). I also think it's very much like Rick to take a truth and skew it just enough so that it can be used for his own purpose, since something closer to the truth is often more believeable than something completely made up. So, all he needed to do was take someone else's "origin story", change a few dialogue lines, and BOOM it's enough of a fabrication to add in other details such as the lines of code. Another, to a lesser extent, is that the memories seem to have a deep impact on him so much that he'll cry in his sleep, perhaps hinting at them being magnified by a deep trauma.
i remember how that reveal blew everyone up when it first came out. glad the shows really does have plot lines from time to time.
Trench coat Rick that gave that Morty those documents is one of the bodies floating out in space when evil morty’s song is playing.
Could it be possible that Evil Morty is not evil? Is he is just a Morty who was never held back by a Rick?
Yeah, I always assumed that "Evil" Morty is just an assumption. He may actually be the victim of his/our Rick, and may just be trying to free all Mortys. Even cutting off the Infinite Rick, and trying to find a way to close off portals for good.
That would actually force Rick to face the only reality he has is the one he's stuck in. So, it may even be for the greater good.
I feel like evil north was ricks original north and something happened that he left morty or sum idk and the morty Rick is with is his 2nd morty
I'm pretty sure killing ricks, kidnapping their morties, and torturing them for memes hoping one rick would find him while also setting that rick up for death, makes evil morty evil.
Sorry. old post. just bored at night
ik this is kinda old but i have a theory ive adopted from someone else! We all know and love the intro, the one that changes a few things each season, but the first animation never seems to change. The one where he leaves Morty behind an the green monster guys leap at him. That could be evil morty if you think evil morty was rick's first
Best episode
that twist had me fucking jumping the first time i watched it, so good
Favorite line:
-"I thought I was left-handed Morty"
-"Then you should use your left hand to eat more vegetables."
Mine is "What the Hell in Hell!?"
You finally got to THE episode. Imo the best episode in season 3.
😂😂😂 Your reaction with the end of the episode has no price
I just love how often you have to reduce your mics because of all your freak outs 😂
ONE OF THE GREATEST REACTIONS especially from Kacee and Anthony of course too
hands down best episode
Love you guys. I watch every episode! Woop woop
You guys should also look at UA-cam shorts of Rick and Morty. There's Run the Jewels, Rick and Morty vs Genocider, plus a whole bunch of Rick and Morty hocking products like Wendy's or Carls JR. Somehow they can promote both.
"I thought I was left-handed Morty" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Then you should use your left hand to eat more vegetables
I'm glad you guys drink during these reactions.
I loved your reaction! 😆🙌
Can't wait to see you guys watch Evil Morty again :3
I JUST LOOOOOOVED Kacee reaction to Evil Morty return!!!! It was Exactly the same of mine reaction when I saw it hahahahaha love u guys 😍
Easily one of the best episodes of television of all time
There's a compilation of reactions to Evil Morty on UA-cam. They're all basically the same... awesome!
Ricks are the only ones who travels the multiverse, that means by being the president, Evil Morty is now the most powerful man in the multiverse
I love how you still had hoped that it was an atlantis episode at the end of the episode
Evil Morty might be the coolest villain in fiction that almost never shows up
Yeah! One of the great episodes. Glad to see you both here and having fun. Stay safe!
:)
cuando en la parte que se emocionan le bajan el audio a los gritos en la edición del vídeo, para cuidar nuestros oídos...
yo: que agradables sujetos
yeah, trenchcoat Rick was sucked out into space too... alas, alak...
IT FINALLY ARRIVES!
I think this is the best episode of any series ever made.
Evil Morty returns and now he's taken control of the Citedal of Ricks.
Finally i love your rick and morty reactions
What if the Rick who gave that Morty the documents turns out to be the real Rick at the end.. or some sort of thematic like that, where Rick c-137 is not the original Rick. (something similar to what is already assumed of the evil Morty being the original).
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
I think that evil morty is either Dufus Rick or Tall Morty’s Morty. And the balance was just shifted the other direction.
Hahahaha I love your reaction 😂😂 “aaaaaaaahhh he is evil mortyyyyy” 😲😲😯😯😯
Congrats...you've seen the best episode of the show. It has yet to match this height.
Your intro music sounds like the intro music of a 2013 minecraft channel
One of the best episodes
Been waiting for this episode !
Come home to the impossible flavor of your own completion
Come home to Simple Ricks
"""Evil Morty""" is actually the only GOOD Morty! Fucking HERO!!!
I think my speakers just gave my neighbour a stroke at 8:28 🤯
Such a good episode
Oh yeah someone made an evil morty rap if y’all wanna check it out
Awesome guys! You're the best!
BEST EPISODEEEEEE
“ you don’t pay me! And we’re the same age!”
“Evil Morty Song” Hahaha so wrong !
Rick and morty C137 stay the same throughout the show although they do move to new dimensions every once in a while so they are really the only constants, the reason the show follows them is because “he’s a different kind of rick” even though he made it up, his subconscious knows it, he doesn’t want all the power in the universe like the others and he’s not completely careless either, what makes “our” rick so special is that he manages to balance the two without giving one up, yeah he takes advantage of every situation he’s put in but there are good motives behind a lot of them, rick really did turn himself in to protect the family but then he found a way out and rather than admit he cared about them he went back and started ranting, that’s kind of how he works, he cares but he’s scared of showing it because he thinks it’s a sign of weakness, the other ricks genuinely don’t care for the most part
Even though first two seasons were easily the best, this episode was really good, because it still had stakes.
My favorite episode of rick and morty
He 100% knew before he watched this episode I bet he did
fav episode, so glad :)
You wanted him, you got him...
EVIL MORTY'S BACK BABAAA,!!!
finally, best EP evar!!
T'was the best episode of Rick and Morty Season 3. It won't be "topped" until the second half of season 4.
I disagree. Season 4 was my favorite season, and actually thought it started losing steam in the second half, only saved by the first new episode of s4 part 2, and the last episode.
The Dragon episode was so freaking funny.
Crazy sick episode lol
Ever heard of the NPC that rebelled against the gods of injustice?
That's a nice, clean beard.
Love you guys great reaction
Dumb Rick/Tall Morty is so great
Justin Rolland makes the most famous episode by talking to himself
