There's a few idiosyncrasies but there is a Facebook page dedicated to the designer one. I would strongly recommend you join that group because they can help you with any issues that might arise. The best way to learn how to use embroidery machines is to start with easy designs, which are smaller designs that have fewer thread changes. That should help you get up and going. When you start using embroidery machines you need to find lots of colors, and I strongly recommend buying kits of many colors of thread. I have over 400 colors nowadays, and I use them all for different projects. Stabilizing and what you want to accomplish with an embroidery machine will drive what you're doing. Enjoy!!
