I want to thank you for this video. I have a LE & was embroidering metallic thread (yeah, I know). This has 32 panels on it! I am on panel 27 and all of a sudden it starts birds' nesting and skipping. My local store, last time I was there, told me that I was better off buying a new one and cost over $150 and 3 weeks (5 years ago). I figured there was thread caught in the tension discs. I was able to dismantle the machine, found a stray thread, and also found a broke needle tip I missed in he bobbin area. Whoopie for metallic thread that caught and snapped the needle. My machine is now happily embroidering and I am on panel 29. Yay!
Actually, the screw which holds the embroidery arm connection is a T-15 and by the way, thank you for the information on how to get the manual for this unit. I have been able to keep our running and doing its job. I still think the Designer 1 is the best, the most dependable Viking unit they have made for some years.
Thanks, this will help me clean my own machine, my Viking dealer has put me off for 2 years. Covid and a ton of excuses.
Just wanted you to know I don't know how it happened but gotten a ton of thread stuck around the handhwheel was able to clean it all out by opening cover and make sure no other issues. Thanks for saving me $150 by not having to take it into the shop.
Can you explain what you did? I am having the same issue.

Thank you so much. This was very helpful for a cleanup of a machine that had been sitting unused for several years.

This was a HUGE help to me. I was able to install a new keyboard and all the buttons work except for the pressure foot up and down. I hit those two keys and the step motor whirs away but the pressure foot bar does nothing. The feed dogs even drop when I hit one of the buttons twice, just like the are supposed to. I'm suspecting there is an issue with the pressure foot sensor board . I ordered a new one. When I manually push the pressure bar with the foot down to the fabric it does sew and sews well!
Thank you for the video. This helped me to remove the covers. Very good.
Interested in a new machine but reading Husqvarnas aren’t worth the money due to so much plastic. They break easily. Is this true?
My thread cutter arm won’t move. When I push the button it doesn’t seem to be making contact maybe. Any suggestions. I have this model.
Thank you!
Can you please link the next video/part 2?

awesome awesome job made my life easier thank you
Thank you. Great video. Would you be able to make one for the Viking Lily sewing machine? I was hoping that watching this video would help me to remove the covers on my Lily. We got the back cover off but not the cover on the deck. There don't appear to be any screws holding it but it is stuck.

Hello, is there a video showing how you removed the front cover?
Thanks for the video. My HV Designer SE's needle position is stuck in the left position and will not move no matter what stitch I choose. After looking at other videos, the problem was fixed on one machine by screwing/unscrewing a big screw at the top of the needle shaft. Please advise.

Do you have a video for adjusting the pressure foot bar height on the Husqvarna Viking Designer SE?
What’s a broken housing on this type of machine?
Viking replacing the needle clamp? There is a small piece called Gib , I can’t find anything on this subject.
Thanks for the video! This may be an odd question but neither Vking or the dealer could answer it. Do you know if part # 412 96 50 is sold as a part or need to replace the entire assembly? it's the main plastic part driven by the "zigzag" step motor pinion, that moves the needle left and right. It cracked on mine and the needle isn't returning to the center. Also, 5031 seems outdated for this firmware. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Have you ever worked on a foot pedal on a 980q? Mine doesn't work well. I have to press it in a certain way to get it to work. thank you
Man I wish you were in my area. I have a couple Vikings and my local dealer is just worthless.

Thank you for the video, I found it very helpful. My Designer SE had tangled a huge amount of thread around the thread take up arm and when I pulled it out, pulled the arm off the shaft. I was able to remove the covers and put the arm back on the shaft.
Once I put the covers back on, the sewing mechanisms worked great, however, the screen does not light up. When I pulled the front cover off, the upper left connection unplugged. I was able to reattach it and the light went over the sewing area. I'm pretty sure that was the only disruption.
Would you know if this could have damage the entire mother board? Is there something I can check to get the screen working again?
Thanks for any help.
I was able to identify the screen plugs and reattach them-- they had been unplugged when I took the cover off. So I fixed it and it works!!!
Hello. I was wondering if you could help me with my husqvarna Viking opal 670. The needle bar is not adjusting back into its center alignment when I first turn on the machine. It is not moving side to side when and adjust to the middle automatically when I turn it on. Any advice to fix the issue?

I have a question about the presser feet of the singer machines or in your case the generic pressers can be adapted to the husquevarna 116 smeralda machine? is that the singer 3333 has the same type of Stilt foot than the husquevarna 116. Is that possible or is there a difference?! Greetings and thanks for your videos
Can you tell me where the 20 pin cable on the connecting board for the keyboard goes to?
Does this work for 930 sapphire Viking?
This is great! Any chance you could do a similar case removal tutorial for mechanical machines like the 5 Series (E.g., Prelude 360/340; Lena, Emma, etc.)?

The touch screen on my HV Designer Diamond does not respond occasionally. I tried to recalibrate and I get the message, "calibration failed." The HV repair guy from JoAnn fabrics said the replacement screen is no longer available. (I have the last model that was made in Sweden.) Is this true? No longer available? Any idea where I can purchase the screen and have it repaired in the Milwaukee area? Thank you
J'ai le même probleme
Thanks.
