I legitematly thought up a r18 strategy once while lying in bed at 2AM. Fucked up sleep cicle does things to a man
Yoo same and its not only in cc even event and regular campaign remember i didn't have a goodnight sleep for a week bcause imma wake up after 1 hour of sleep after i dream a strategy
Somehow the "thinking about cc strategy when sleeping" is kinda true for me. Sometimes I fall asleep after having a bad run and still dream how to clear it properly
Then you wake up, try it and failed miserably. Then go back to sleep.
What cc does to people
Not a cc enjoyer but i do this on od-8 and clearing frostnova last appearance
Everytime I fail, I think of what I did wrong. Everytime I clear, I think of how to optimise my strat. Slowly I fall asleep, and wake up. Repeat
This has got to be one of the most infuriating CC's after CC Pyrite and Cinder. Those Lazurite Archers with their corrosion skill is just plain annoying.
They drain not only armor but my sanity IRL.

Them alone just as an enemy isn't that big of a deal, its where they are positioned and getting rid of them that is.
Keeping them spotted means you have to block both of those high flow entrance ways, I can't even imagine how difficult this stage would be with the max roster being 10 or 7 and them just constantly nuking your ops.

The one enemy left actually happened to me. I was about to clear risk 18, I had killed tola, was celebrating, and then I realized I leaked one of the archers. Was not happy

Open arknights after working -> managing base -> Farming till I'm out of sanity -> completing daily mission -> Finishing R18 on CC#8 and R8 on Daily stage -> Sleep.

Funny enough, this cc was actually easier for me than last cc, I reach r18 with ease just because surtr, nightingale and saria can deal with both Viviana and Tola while the rest of the enemies can be kill quite easily, the sniper were fairly weak so I only need to care about Viviana and Tola.
Same, maybe it's because I just got better ops in these 3 months, but I feel like this CC is easies than last one once you get the hang of it. No map wide aoe wipe, no unblockable enemies, no color switching fuckery. this cc is just a tank check and Tola walking over your lifeless corpse on repeat.
CC8's theme is a certified banger
the stage bgm is also a banger too
Kazimierz stages theme just never disappoints in terms of hyping you up just like CC#5

I studied like 10 different R18 strategies and made my own combination from all 10 to just BARELY accomplish CC#8 R18. This was the worst one to do by far.
If only I had Nightingale I would have cleared R18 by now
You probably already know this, but the candle knight can be stunned, silenced or bound, which you can use to cancel her special attack. I personally used Projekt Red, since she has an AOE stun on her S2.

The sole reason i'll try to clear risk 18 is just for the good stuff in the shop, gonna help me with my E2's. (just started doing them, shot myself in the foot as a newbie by raising 6 stars) Maybe I'll try getting that rainbow medal, it seems cool...
I won't call it shooting yourself in the foot, I'd say it's a long term investment, especially if they're powerful 6*s like Silverash, Saria, Exu, et cetera. R18 on this CC is a bit problematic however, so do keep that in mind.

I said no bad operators, but in this CC I cant say the same thing about it
there are no bad operators, just suboptimal ones for a particular stage.
They're all usable, some are just really good at their role
The only time I did CC was to get blur poison skin

I actually watched Kyos's Guide but it didn't help me. I just copied his Risk and I somehow manage to get R18 in Day 2 just bring Exusiai, Kal'sit, Hoshiguma and Support Chalter. The rest were Bait for Vivian's Skill. It took me 23 retry because my stupid ass brain keep forgetting to light up the light tower before retreating Myrtle.
Man I dunno how risk 18 is possible but I cleared risk 12 with myrtle dealing the final blow while everyone else was dead.
All worth it for the asbestos skin.
