"I AM" An Entrepreneur | World Vision Youth Ready Peru

Perla's dreams shattered when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 17. Absorbed in pain and helplessness, World Vision's Youth Ready program drew her out of isolation and equipped her to re-pursue her entrepreneurial dreams. Now at age 19, she runs her own beauty salon called "Self Love" with a firm belief that she can financially support herself and achieve anything she puts her mind to. World Vision’s Youth Ready program has empowered and equipped 130,000 marginalized and vulnerable youth like Perla across 7 countries to revive their hopes and dreams. In this video, we showcase the confidence and beauty of young women in vulnerable context and how they rise to overcome extreme challenges of sickness and poverty.
