Empowering Dads

We see you, Dad. We recognize how hard you work raising your families and supporting your communities. It's our privilege to partner with you and other fathers like Sirajul, a rice farmer in Bangladesh. Follow Sirajul and see how hard he works to care for his family.
Not only is Sirajul a husband, father and farmer, but he is also a champion for gender equality in his community. After receiving training, he formed a MenCare group where he advocates on gender issues and encourages group members to provide opportunities for their wives to be involved in income-generating activities. Ultimately, his hope is that women will have increased decision-making power in their families and communities.
Through the new #REACTSIN grant, in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, we aim to further advance the rights and dignity of women and adolescent girls by increasing access to gender-equitable nutrition. We know that when fathers and mothers are empowered and when families have #enough nutritious food to thrive, then communities thrive.
