- One of Germany's Best and Most Famous Model Railway in HO Scale - Modellbundesbahn the Real German Federal Railway as a model.
While constructing the Modellbundesbahn the first priority was to create the most authentic model railway layout in H0 scale.
Some Facts:
900 items of rolling stock, 80 locomotives, 216 points, 1100 of track, 1500 trees, 2500 shrubs and bushes, milelong cables, several thousands lamps (almost LED)
Where and when?
Brakel is on the B64, east of Paderborn, about 90 minutes drive from Dortmund. The station is now served by Nordwestbahn diesel railcars running between Paderborn and Holzminden (timetable RB84, the Eggebahn).

The detail of this layout is really nice, but I appreciate the lighting they use... it's like viewing it in the noonday sunshine. Very nice.
This model railway layout so endearingly and authentically depicts the years of my youth in the 60s and 70s. Almost every detail is just right. You get the impression that you are looking at a snapshot of life back then somewhere on a summer's day between 1968 and 1972. Wonderful and touching!

What a phenomenal layout. I loved everything about it and the detail was remarkable. Also, living here in the states, I welcomed the opportunity to see German locos and rollingstock, not to mention the scenery. A winner for me all the way around. thanks for sharing.

Is there anything which could be done to the overexposure of this footage?
Because the model and views are brilliant! Especially a beautiful overview shots followed by a detail, and then back to context, great job. Something I dont' see often on model railways videos.
I would love to see a model railroad with a working turntable and a locomotive using it to enter the round house (or exit). Thank you for your expected excellent action shots and tableau.

Tolle Anlage, super realistisch, und eine der wenigen, die offensichtlich fertig geworden sind. Frage eines Menschen, der gerade einen alten Wohnblock sucht: Ab 3:42 sind 5 Ziegelhaeuser zu sehen, 2 einfache und 3 doppelte. Schreibt bitte, aus welchen Bausaetzen die entstanden sind. Ich vermute, die doppelten sind aus je 2 einfachen entstanden. Merci im voraus! Joerg.

Somebody has a poor opinion of Polizei to have a police car labeled Polente.
I observed only two police cars. A sedan and a wagon, both have Polizei painted on their sides. Where in the video is the car with Polente?
@@ricomon35 You can see the Polente, policemen, at minute 8:07. The word was used by criminals at the time, but also for amusement. That's why they got a Citroen 2cv4. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_2CV
@@nokixel247 I only remember a "Polente" 2CV from my childhood, there was at least one kids TV-Show were the local policeman drove a 2CV.
