Andrew Fowler--It certainly would be 1 of my life's highlights. A Led Zeppelin concert, when I was only 15 yrs. old was 1 of mine, & I would have preferred to be older, & sitting at Plant's feet.
He stayed at the Old School house hotel and restaurant, I was a dishwasher there, They had an a 3 hour practice jam at the piano in the bar the night before this. I got his autograph and chatted with Robert A little...heck of a rock'n'roll moment for an 18 year old at the time...Well I say chatted.. more like "Um I got your album ledzep 1...can I get your autograth" Like that meant anything to him lol. Nice guy
Man! Yes, Plant sounds great, but let's not let that observation eclipse this exceptional performance from one of the few genuinely great virtuoso groups. (Hilarious interaction between Page and Pegg is a bonus.)
Band of Joy....hmm was that the recording of Hey Joe Robert and Bonham did that they attribute to Led Zeppelin? THe guitar playing was great if it was this guy from Fairport Convention!!!!
Is there someone who can tell me please what type of electric violin is the one played in this video (and in a number of Cropredys and other concerts in the second half of the 80s) by Ric Sanders? The brand, the name of the model, etc. Thank you very much!
i want to slap the clown pretending to play the fiddle. I cannot take that noise! It gives me massive headaches. And judging by Bobby;s choice of lyrics, he cannot stand it either.
I was standing in the front row right at Plant's feet. Something of a lifetime highlight, it has to be said.

They're coming to my little town this week expecting a Lifetime highlight too! 😉

Two of my favorite guitarists up there, the first was Richard Thompson, followed by Jerry Donahue.
Just checked Wikipedia and looks like it could have been Dave Pegg playing guitar on that cover of Hey Joe.
@@pierre-de-standing Probably right. I think I read or saw somewhere that John Bonham was a good friend of Dave Pegg so that makes sense!!!!

Get rid of the violin has no place in the blues, sure not the northern blues from CHI-TOWN
The violin has a place in this band and that's all that matters.

Funny co-incidence that. I want to slap anyone who calls him Bobby.
@@heliotropezzz333 Why is that? In the dream realm, I call him Bobby, as he wants me to.
@@rosekittygraykittyjackkitt9676 Because you believe what you want to believe - that which is self serving.
I guarantee ROBERT had no problem with the violin. They're old friends of his and it's not like the surprised him with it.
