I am of the opinion if you have one support spec/class you need more otherwise that one spec winds up being perma meta pretty much as we have seen with aug.
I used to play this other game that had a class i could only describe as a "masochist class". They had several times more HP than all other classes but they would do barely any damage if they were full hp or almost dead. They had spells that would buff them when they got attacked, and they had a spell that could do MASSIVE damage if they were at half HP. This spell would do less the farther your HP was from half. So the trick was to let them get hit a lot and then have healers try to keep them at half HP as much as possible. Enemies would have to either blitzkrieg them down away from half, or maybe even heal them to full HP if possible
That sounds interesting, but if there was a class that strong in game, players would stack so many of them. I mean look at Shadow Priests in Legion. Maybe there could be a “Blood Mage” that has higher HP can most classes and heals or deals damage by consuming their HP pool coupled with some self healing. They could receive bonuses for being half HP as you said. Even then reading this in my head still seems strong.
Tinker sounds like 100% something I would play (half my characters are engineers). Gunslinger, and Spellbreaker interest me. Spellbreaker would also make sense as a hero talent tree from Prot pally. Maybe one that can wield polearms as a one handed weapon so you can have spear and shield and changes a few of the abilities to revolve around that (like throwing polearm/spear rather than shield). A few of these would make sense as hero trees
I wish to have one Mechanic class where subclases focus on different things: let's say "Artificer" focused on tech equipment (infusions and exosuit or even body modification to became a robot (warforged\mechagnome)) - like jetpack, speed boots, energy shields, heat vision, shok gauntlets, chain saw (ironman \ space-marine) another one let`s say "Tinker" will be like pilot of a big mech and control fly drones (hulkbuster\warhammer dreadnought\ armoured core) and last but not least "Gunner" will be focused on tech weapons and different ammunition types (minigun ailgun\tesla-coil\double revolver)
I think they can add to some classes, for example a Warlock that can summon a stronger Demon to tank, you leave the control of your cloth warlock caster and take control of a strong Demon to tank, or enhance unholy dk , and demon hunters and shadow priests casts.
The only things that actually seem unique are tinkers, titan killer, prismatic, apothecary, bard, and leyweaver. Necromancers = unholy deathknights and demo-warlocks combined Witches = affli-warlocks (unless they put in spells for a voodoo doll or wtv) Battlemages = enhancement shamans Astrologen = balance druids Warden = survival hunters Gunner = mark-hunters and ele-shamans with glocks Spellbreaker = aumentation and warrior combined
Necromacer could sub for another monster group, similar to demonology warlock. Warlock is the only class that has that big group of monsters to fight with you. Of course among other things, saying unholy is like necromacer does a diservice to both class identites as they are distinct enough to make both wildly different.
I personally wish they would give us the option to have 1 strong demon in demonology. I can't the swarm summon type of gameplay, but I like warlock and pets. I don't like how demonology is at all now. I loved it from vanilla to wrath.
I hope we get not just 1 but 2. Like you said, Necromancer/Witch/Apothecary could all work rolled into 1 class as specs. These should be leather casters The other being Astrologian, Battlemage and Spellbreaker all as specs of Prismatic. These should be plate. That's how I feel. Also, give Rogue a 4th spec with either the current guns or akimbo pistols or whatever. It's far overdue for them to have a ranged spec.
Shaman Tanks! Bard could be great and working with the song of Azeroth tracks. Give people tinker! There has been a call for a tinker class for a long ass time. I too like the idea of only Goblins and Gnomes being tinkers….similar to how only Belfs and Nelfs could be DHs.
several months into the expansion and shadow bolt/haunt damage are still not working in the open world, only in raids/dungeon do they function properly. not very excited for any expansion.
Honestly, if one class has to be added in the world soul saga, it’s the bard. (Which soule use the radiant song in one way or another) plus, it’s the most detailed, like you said. As for the others, some scream classes, and some scream specs. I can see tinker and necromancer as classes, but warden ? Warden has the 2/3 of their abilities that are already rogue abilities. So could warden, which are described as « armored », a rogue tank spec ? Could we see more tank spec added in the future, like for the shamans ?
I would get rid of tanks and healers. Make all toons have a midagation and heals, CC control would be implemented more so in a raid it's more overall battlefield control than a dps meter.
This was a Survey so I doubt we will get anything new for a while! We might get Tinkerer in Undermine(d) but that would be it! We won't get Haranir for a while! I know they are in the new story preview! I have no hope that we will even get any of these because we have never heard of these being mentioned before! We will see though!
People are 'hard coping' if they think they're going to get more than 1of the classes on that list, and of that list, only the two titan sounding ones are likely. Name one time past the original launch of the game that we got more than 1 class, a few raids, 8 dungeons, or two (or less) races. We only got more 'allied' races because blizzard reused the god damn rigging of other races. You'll are fools if you believe this is going to happen.
I don't think battlemage should use elemental magic (it just sounds like enhancement shaman). Battlemage should use the same stuff as Mages just with a melee focus. They should be mid to close range combat, but this is only my opinion after all
honestly, whatever has a tank option, the most recent tank that has come out was vengance DH and that was 8 years ago, since then ive become a legal adult, i own a car, and ive paid for my entire setup to play basically only this game, and i still havent seen anything even close to an announcement about a new tank besides this one rn, its absurd how neglected tank specs are in the game, healers too but they get new specs a bit more often like for example preservation back in dragonflight
1. I would love to see Tinker as Gnome/Goblin only. 2. Necromancer as a spell caster casting dark spells and raise skeletons swordsman and archers maybe a spec using dark/undead creature to Tank. 3. Celestials lancer just sound pretty cool would be cool if they wield a shield and a polearm.
Why do we keep saying there can't be overlap? There's already 100 specs in the game. Ur not going to be able to add anything new without overlap. The point would be to give other flavors of the same thing. For example, ranged necro vs melee necro. I see 0 issue with that. Also, why are wow players so caught up in new classes having to be 100% in line with the existing lore? Other mmos come out with a class and that adds to the lore. Who cares which order it comes in. Between those 2 things, you leave 0 room for anything cool. All ur going to get is whatever they were able to fit into that incredibly tiny space
So much more this. It really stifles creativity. Especially in a fictional universe such as this. This might be a foreign concept to some cynical players nowadays, but I genuinely trust that “current” will be able to have specs that overlap in theme while still making them unique enough from each other. Like Astrologian, Prismatic, and Balance for example. Or Demonology, Unholy, and Necromancer.
Well this time blizzard asked their fans about new classes/specs. This was part of Blizzard's survey where they specifically asked players how interested they would be for these class descriptions.
Isn't it called engineer? Nvm, but professions and classes are completely different things. Said this to another guy, you'd think it should be common sense.
It's only the "obvious" choice if you are part of the crowd that cried til they got VE, then cried for HE customization, and plan on crying harder for true paladins if void paladins are introduced.
Oh yes, it makes sense to run around singing like a weirdo while your buddies do all the work. Lmao, in all seriousness though, it's not a bad concept.
A Witch class with the specs being Witch Doctor, Apothecary, and Necromancer would be really cool,
Unholy DK's are basically necromancers, so nah
Witch and tinker sound great imo, depending on how unique they can make witch
unique either ands up weak or overpowered, either way it ends badly.
I am of the opinion if you have one support spec/class you need more otherwise that one spec winds up being perma meta pretty much as we have seen with aug.
All sounds good. Also give us Pandaren Druid
Shaman tanks ?
i really like this
Please
Tinkerer, Bard, Brawler, Necromancer, Witch Doctor, Siren, Dragoon are all classes I can see being added with lore to back it up.
Most of them can. Even the Titan themed ones depending on how they write the lore of The Last Titan.
I used to play this other game that had a class i could only describe as a "masochist class". my bestie did a bard tank in D&D. He had a giant mandolin. Just think Brewmaster Monk with music and shouts instead of alcohol.
I think they can add to some classes, for example a Warlock that can summon a stronger Demon to tank, you leave the control of your cloth warlock caster and take control of a strong Demon to tank, or enhance unholy dk , and demon hunters and shadow priests casts.

In my opinion the titan ones sound like a warrior thing. Like a fury warrior using Titan Killer hero talents
Tinker has to be the new class. Bard would be great also. We need more support specs.
Tinker is definitely the next one, Island expeditions was blizzard testing them out and wouldn't be surprised them coming in midnight.
I hope we get not just 1 but 2.

I always wanted to play a necromancer
I think they'll gather the data em come up with something in-between the classes with the most votes.
several months into the expansion and shadow bolt/haunt damage are still not working in the open world, only in raids/dungeon do they function properly. not very excited for any expansion.
I would love to see Brad, Warden and Spellbreaker

For witch I'd go Rotspeaker, necrosurgeon and plague spreader.
Bard look to EverQuest on how a Bard can help Groups and Necromancer's also Being EQ is the Mother of WoW
A tank bard sounds very interesting

We already have a complete tinker at the Conquest of Azeroth, blizz just need to copy it and the deed is done...
People are 'hard coping' if they think they're going to get more than 1of the classes on that list, and of that list, only the two titan sounding ones are likely. Blizzard/Microsoft is about to jump the shark.
I don't think battlemage should use elemental magic (it just sounds like enhancement shaman). Battlemage should use the same stuff as Mages just with a melee focus. They should be mid to close range combat, but this is only my opinion after all
definitely want a necromancer class in wow
honestly, whatever has a tank option, the most recent tank that has come out was vengance DH and that was 8 years ago, since then ive become a legal adult, i own a car, and ive paid for my entire setup to play basically only this game, and i still havent seen anything even close to an announcement about a new tank besides this one rn, its absurd how neglected tank specs are in the game, healers too but they get new specs a bit more often like for example preservation back in dragonflight
how about an extra spec for every excisting class?
Also rather sure warlock plays how a necromancer would. Just change the demons to undead.
Tinker and bard are a big ol no thanks!! Titan killer, warden and witch are the best of the options. But knowing blizz, were likely getting bards....
We only need tank and two handed shaman !
Human and belf could work too for tinker
@ yeah a lot of races would work for tinker I just think it would be a good way to get more to play that races 😊
🙄
@ravensoul4938 what’s up?
We got dracthyr if the gonna do a lancer class might as well do dragoon
Why do we keep saying there can't be overlap? There's already 100 specs in the game. Ur not going to be able to add anything new without overlap. The point would be to give other flavors of the same thing. For example, ranged necro vs melee necro. I see 0 issue with that.

so they copyin ascention ?) 😂😂😂 i wanna tinker!!!!
I would like more suport classes like aug, to buff ya team is fun!
the game already has a problem with balance and we keep asking for more specs and classes. gotta give it up.
Well this time blizzard asked their fans about new classes/specs. This was part of Blizzard's survey where they specifically asked players how interested they would be for these class descriptions.
I want all, YES GIVE ME ALL OF THEM, MAKE AZEROTH MORE COLORFUL WITH MORE CLASS OPTIONS!
Stay woke comrade
Why not all of them? :D
Great more classes they won't be able to balance....
🕊
Tinker baby! Could use a lot of inspiration from classic engineering, destroys rocket boots ect…
Sadly arguable necromancer already exists in wow.
Are you talking about Ascension spec ? lol
Tinkerer is a profession not a class, nor should it ever be.
Isn't it called engineer? Nvm, but professions and classes are completely different things. Said this to another guy, you'd think it should be common sense.
Voodoomancer, please!
Tinker just sounds so dumb.
Enchanter like from everquest
we know when the expans dont like to the ppl, the ppl starts to talk the next one on s1 :D lol
the world soul saga is only 1 years apart of each ohters tho so its not weird at all that ppl talk about whats to come
dps with shield pls !
I can see Tinker working well as tank, healer and ranged dps. Unholy Dk = necromancer.
Tinker please
Wow players are so negative I've had so much hell being a dev evoker with the toxic whispers everyday 😂
I say we balance the classes we already have instead of reinforcing the inability to balance the game by adding more classes to the equation.
I think the obvious next class should be void Palatine. It makes sense. And it fits the next expansion
It's only the "obvious" choice if you are part of the crowd that cried til they got VE, then cried for HE customization, and plan on crying harder for true paladins if void paladins are introduced.
Bard js the only one that makes sense and would be easier to balance out with the rest. Necromancer would have to basically delete Unholy Dk.
Oh yes, it makes sense to run around singing like a weirdo while your buddies do all the work. Lmao, in all seriousness though, it's not a bad concept.
Ugh. I'm probably in the minority, but this is the last thing I want in the game.
then what do u want?
copy paste ascension WOW
It sure is a crime WoW is ripping of the game that ripped off WoW, huh?
@@jesserothhammer7378 how did ascension rip off wow? they bought a server and made their own game
the fact people have been making videos about tinkers since cata prepatch event is funny. just stop
Vampire
If paladin doesnt get a 4th spec that is a ranged dps (not like aug evoker) then we riot. The bREThren have spoken!
Ranged dps paladin. I think retribution has enough range to be that, already.
@Midnight_Witch1 Nah, you're being disingenuous, especially since our abilities can be cast from range but we aren't supposed to STAY at range
@@lionwhyte___2634 close enough. If you wanna STAY at range with holy magic...Priests exist.
Still sad to See no shaman Tank Concept 🥲🥲
Blizzard is losing it. Maybe new specs but new classes don't make sense. Just work on classic+
