thats because this is a demo done on stage for a shoot. this isnt a real plumbing job. those pipes go nowhere, and are not connected to anything, so you can easily put them nicely anywhere you want., water will never run through them.. someone spent 4x longer to make it look good, 4x more then you would actually do on a job.

You could probably make one out of a piece of PVC pipe. There are charts available online that show the inside and outside diameters of the various sizes and grades of plastic pipe, and if you find one with an inside diameter close to the outside diameter of the insulation, you could cut those 45s yourself.
You'll be the one laughing once you get good at using it and you not only become faster them those guys but also have a superior looking job. Having the best finish really pays off in the long run if all your other skills are up to par also.
@@marcbow you are not faster with this tool than without it. It also has tons of drawbacks. You would need lots of different sizes. Its pointless and unnecessary. Sure if you are inexperienced then this can help but any experienced guy would not use this at all.

Insulating cold water pipes is just as necessary as the hot water pipes in winter. Especially if they run anywhere near the outside of the house where the water inside them might freeze faster.

They are dry fitted. There is no solder. You thinking non-visible solder is a good thing is wrong anyway. My professional standards solder needs to create a fillet at the joint.

That's quality work. Very well done. I've never seen that plastic jig thing but it's obviously the right tool for the job. I've only done that work freehand and it definitely didn't come out that pretty. But I got the pipes covered.
I once saw an electrical service panel that was done so neatly that it looked like art. Once. I consider this to belong in the same gallery. Well done, congratulations.
