Thank you so much! I just unboxed this baby and your information is so helpful! I really wanted to purchase on 143 to use your code but it was sold out. I ended up buying from swing design. I'm so excited to use it, I've been using the walmart steamfast mini iron so this is a major upgrade 🥰
This is so helpful! Thank you!!! I received my Cricut earlier this month, and just purchased the Starcraft Heat Press, too. I was lost on what else I needed, and I'm so glad I found your video! ❤
Nice video again. We have limited space and would have to be able to move the heat press. Do they need to be bolted down or can they be easily moved? Thanx for the info.
Hi thank you so much for all your helpful information! I had a question can you use the same Teflon sheet for each press? How often should it be change?
I have had this teflon sheet for over 3 years and it's still in perfect condition. Unless you get something on it, it's fine to use as long as you can.
I think it would work well, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to close your press since EP pressing pads are much more dense than usual pressing pillows.
I'm thinking about getting this press do you know what size table would be needed? I couldn't find actual measurements of the whole unit anywhere. Thank you.
It’s about 24 inches front to back, and the base is a little less than 15x15. So hopefully that helps! Make sure the table can handle the fact that it’s 50 lbs, and you should be good to go!
You're welcome! I highly recommend the Easy Press mat. I would also get a teflon sheet and heat resistant tape. Otherwise the other products aren't helpful for the Easy Press :).
Alex, I am at a loss. I've tried every vinyl from 143 vinyl on my shirts. Followed several people to see what I'm doing wrong but my designs don't stick long. What can I possibly be doing wrong? Please help?
Did you notice the heat resistant tape had a smell to it? I bought the same brand heat resistant tape and it smelled almost like cat urine 🤢 also the color left demarcation on a mug I pressed for sublimation. I ended up buying cricut heat resistant tape hoping that this wouldn't leave demarcation like the other one did! Just got a StarCraft 8 in 1 so I'm super excited to use that for the first time this weekend!

YAY! Thank you for trying to use my code. I’m still so excited for you! You’ll love it!

They do not need to be bolted down!
I have the cricut heat press and about to buy this press. Should I use the mat under the shirt to press with this heat press?
Yes, a pressing pillow is always a good idea.

@@DIYAlex Thank you!
What size table is that you’re using the green one?
I believe it’s 36” x 36”. ☺️
Would a Cricut press mat work in place of a pressing pillow? I have three sizes that I used with my Easy Press!
I think it would work well, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to close your press since EP pressing pads are much more dense than usual pressing pillows.
Will the Teflon paper discolor dark colored garments when you heat press them?
No it doesn't

TYVM - I didn't know any of this
You're welcome!
Super good information! Thank you Alex! What do you recommend for a Easy Press by Cricut?
You're welcome! I highly recommend the Easy Press mat. I would also get a teflon sheet and heat resistant tape. Otherwise the other products aren't helpful for the Easy Press :).
I would really love to get that star craft press. What is the footprint?
It's great! The base that sits on the table that is 10 inches wide by 20 inches deep (front to back).

I will need more details to help you. What types of HTV are you using and what heat settings are you applying them with?
@@DIYAlex EW Stretch, 320 at 20 sec. Softflex 285 at 10-12 sec. Both with heat press with firm pressure.
how many time we can use teflon sheet ?
I have only had this sheet since I got my heat press in 2019 and haven't replaced it yet. So lots!
Just became an owner today

Oh my gosh I’m sorry you had a bad experience! I’ve never had that happen with my heat tape, but I love Cricut’s tape too!
Congratulations, a heat press are much more comfortable than a silk screen, as long as you are working with the piece
lol why wouldn't you close the press on the teflon sheet to hold it in place before you apply the magnets?
Because there isn't just one to do things :). The way I did it works just fine for me.
Why are you using magnets 🧲
To hold the Teflon sheet to the top of my press.
@@DIYAlex How come you don’t use the “buttons” that’s built on the press instead of the magnets? Just curious.
