My guy! Thank you for this, I've noticed it so much more recently and was scratching my head as to what I was doing wrong. I appreciate your help and the videos !
I am going through this very problem and up pops your video. Always learning from you. Thanks for all you share!!! Their are many people on line charging for what you share. So thankful I found you on UA-cam.
Ok but what about when the rest of the shirt isn’t wrinkled. This happens especially in gildan 50/50, black hoodies especially. If I use my smaller platen so I’m not pressing over top the front pocket I get an ugly rectangle lol
I run into this issue with dark shirts ( black especially, navy blue etc ) even after cooling + ironing the remainder of the shirt , sometimes the box still remains
Sometimes it’s the material you’re working with. For example foam hats. You can’t get rid of the mark. Anything polly blend over 50% will leave a permanent mark if temperature is too hot
Hello thanks for the video , do you know how to avoid the marks from the neck , you know how you press the shirt and it marks the neck, so it makes a half of the circle white or discoloration from the heat
Great video. What is the material wrapped on the topped part and the clips around. I used a machine to seal and it is the same color but I don't know the name or where to get it.
Great info, I use a Printful and have had customers receive their t-shirts and the shadow shows up after they wash it - what would be causing this issue?? Same dark square box around the graphic, but it shows up discolored after it has been washed - and Printful doesn't give any explanation they just say sorry and offer a reprint. Any ideas or help, or can this be fixed after the customer already has the product in their hands?? Thanks!
hi, i rarely press anything that high on a shirt. i dont feel it looks good when the shirt is worn. but if you wanted to press somethinf high up close to the collar. you can use a mouse pad or teflon pillow inside to help raise the shirt up to press. flip the shirt over, slide the pillow or pad inside and press. hope that helps
I use 100% organic cotton I never get issues with them only on 100 %regular cotton always gives me issues I do the same method you do on those type of shirts too
A print "square" on polyester or cotton / poly blends that doesn't go away is usually because the temp was too high or it was pressed for too long.. That's why I stick to 100% cotton.. Too easy to melt / burn polyester..
For dualblend/triblend: I'd reduce temp, with the heatpress nation press use a laser temp gun to check the center of your plate. My press is actually 320 when I set it to 312. If I set mine to 320 its 334 and that burns the shit out of my shirts. Pressure is key, depends are you using a cover, pad are you threading the shirt. It really is a science and there are a lot of variables that will change the outcome
@@AskariArt you guys tried cooking paper sheets on blends and/or 100% cottons? I use it every time to bake it in after a first transfer..it works like magic...
I’m learning how to do all this and I almost shit my pants when I pressed a polo and it was a red one and it turned DARK RED. Looked back later and it was cooled and boom it was perfect. I found your video and felt SO much better after 😂 “a wrinkled ass shirt” was my favorite part. Thank you!
its recommended by the transfer company. not sure what the purpose is but my transfers last 50+ washes with no issues, so i'll keep doing it per their instructions hahaa.
I had this happen to me on a sweatshirt. It's only 50% cotton. I will try and press the other parts of the sweatshirt and see how it goes. Thanks again.
polyester is a tricky material to work with. the heat activates the pigment in the material. so the discoloration from the heat on polyester is usually due to the dye in the material.
all over? or around the image? not sure thats something that can be removed after its been pressed on. i seen somebody on tiktok show some dtf transfers they received from somebody that were covered in adhesive powder and it was all over the transfer not just on the design

My theory, it can also happen perhaps because of the quality of the fabric. It's possible the garment can't withstand the amount of heat being given. That means it's time to re-evaluate their source🤷🏿♂️
i use it for static. it helps buffer out the static in the room. static sucks cuz the backing of the transfer can get stuck to the top heat platen. tryna peel it off a hot surface is no fun hahahahaa. so by adding the teflon sheet it acts as a buffer between the transfer backing and top platen.
