Hello 👋 From The USA 🇺🇸 This is very interesting and quite unique to have something like this. I bet it was so fun watching a drone delivering your food.
is it bad that i would probably do this all the time if i could afford it, over ordering delivery from a regular place? Very socially anxious so this is a good fit for me.
Mostly likely the early adopters will charge premium delivery but as it becomes more common and the number of competitors increase the pricing will become more competitive
How far does the drone have to fly from the actual restaurant that delivers the food? and How long does it take to receive your food and drink items after you have placed your orders?
Full of questions: Will the drone serv6 operate in bad weather? What if customer no.1 didn't collect their order? Would customer no.2 order be stacked on top of the first order or simply get stuck on the roof of the booth?
yes that what I was wondering. I guess the booth has certain number of max parcel holding capacity and if no one is collecting they will wait until the next delivery drone leaves for the same booth. would love to see the system being tested to max cap.
I wonder what the advantage is since it doesn't come to your door? Is it that the drop off location could be slightly closer than going to the restaurant? You still have to go get it.
better then sitting in a busy office and have lunch. good excuse to stretch your leg plus get some food without going to a restaurant or going too far from office and wasting time in commute.
Delivery person goes to the store, picks the food up, and drops it off at a drone heli-pad area and the workers there put it on a drone and it flies off to the vending machine. The drone heli-pad area was on the outside top floor of that mall he filmed.
Perhaps I'm just being too conservative (I come from 🇬🇧, so it comes with the terrortory) but does anyone else think having drones deliver _from_ specific points _to_ specific points kinda defeats the object of drone delivery? If I was ordering via drone I'd be disappointed if this couldn't deliver my food to me in the middle of a public park using my phone as its destination beacon. 🤔 It's readily possible for a drone to have human detection and a warning light/siren to warn people it's about to land, so it seems odd you still have to go to a booth to collect your order. For me, I'd just take a wander to the restaurant instead! 😋 But many thanks for this excellent dive into Chinese cuisine _en place!_ Awesome to see! 💯😁👍
They actually plan to build this thing next to every building. It is kinda similar to an apartment parcel locker. But this one is for food and delivered by drones.
That's pretty cool! It reminds me of that one Adventure Time episode where a drone was used to refill the contents of a soda vending machine. Anyways, as awesome as that is, I'm not sure that would work out for every country. I mean it looks peaceful there but there's places where there'd be people who would try and take down the drones either for fun or to steal the food boxes. Also, what happens if it rains, I wonder? The water or lightning strike could affect the drones.
This is pretty cool I haven't heard about this in my sphere. I know it might be out of your realm of video but seeing it from the other side would be cool. Like how the order comes in and gets taken out. Thanks for the vid

My husband does FPV as a hobby and has a ‘mini whoop’. It is not a cheap hobby. Im curious as to how much one of those cost cause his has been a couple hundred. This is really cool. I wonder what the weight limit is.
Dji has some high end camera rig drones which can carry few kilo worth of gear and I've seen few video of drone used for farming (crop dusting) that can take a lot of weight. but they all are well over US$2000 to 3000. This would be similarly expensive but its a high capacity commercial drone so don't think normal consumer can buy them anyway without law enforcement approval.
@@AshrakAhmedI’ve heard that they could do some amazing things. Crop dusting I didn’t know about, but it makes so much sense and would be significantly cheaper, I imagine.
