Dovetail joinery - tail and pin board initial layout.

Laying out the baseline for a dovetail joint.
Setting the marking gauge to the depth of the material to be marked, I like to reset for each line to account for any slight variation in the material. Each corner already marked to ensure it all matches up.
A well set and accurate cut with a sharp gauge at this point allows clean chisel cleanup after sawing the tails and pins.
Tails - mark all around the material as shoulders will be cut.
Pins - only faces marked, shoulders will be part of the joint.
