Fair play to the Fifth Gear crew - Plato, Henderson and Needel are all ex or current car racers - unlike the egomaniac plonkers that previously hosted Top Gear. Good to see Tiff and Vicki get aboard a two-wheeler and give it a go. Fifth Gear does feature bikes now and again, which I like.
Good laugh with Tiff and Vicky on the ZZR. Of course they weren't going to get if flat out, but its great to see bikes on mainstream TV. I've got a gen 1 2011 ZZR14. Great all round bike! :)
I've been riding bikes with this level of performance for decades and its amazing how quickly you get used to them. I must say with today's tyres, suspension and electronic riding aids they are a hell of a lot safer than riding the slower, now vintage bikes I had in the past.
Geoff I had a break from riding and then as my next bike bought a ZX10 and I agree with you, I was thrilled by the acceleration but stunned at the improvement in handling, braking and tyre tech. I remember the Pirelli Phantom on the old CB / KZ / XS / GS brigade. The limits were a lot easier to find back then and when we fell off we were going slower than today, lol.
I don't know if in the states we can get 5th gear but I definitely would watch it. I have seen super old top gear with tiff and Vicky. I really like vicky
What a load of fun, I would have enjoyed that too, tell you what though, it's more exciting doing those kind of speeds on very quiet open roads that you're familiar with =P
My zx12r is similar power to this but without any rider aids. When you opdn the taps, the accelaration is so raw and aggressive, non (powerful) bike riders could never appreciate how gutsy it is to give it some minutes after jumping on it
It helps to have no fear. Tiff doesn’t even know what fear is. Vicki at least has a little bit of fear. Bikes aren’t their specialty but they’re not afraid to go flat out.
Gutsy performance from both of them. Think back to the first time you rode a BIG bike or a bike hugely more powerful than yours and then realise she's not a bike rider. Bikes like these have such insane levels of performance and normal car drivers can't imagine the acceleration. Back in the day, I remember going from a CB500/4 to a Z1r and the performance difference was a real surprise. That rush became addictive, lol.
Call me a nervous nelly if you like, but i found this whole thing dangerous. A lack of experience on that particular model combined with a speed competition, well...
Experience... That's the deal. If you daily a high powered sports bike this wont seem like much. Unlike someone who has only done it a few times. My wife is scared shitless of my BMW bike and it isn't even fast
IT IS NOT a death machine. It's a well mannered, predictable, safe, comfortable motorcycle. Mind-boggling power is there, but only if you want it, and when you want it.
VBH and that patented laugh/squeal...😍😍😍 OMG❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love car shows that feature bikes too.
Had a 09 Gen1 ZZR1400 for a year now have a 2015 ZZR1400 Performance Sport.
These are great bikes.

But just not as funny or entertaining to watch … kinda blah.
They were such a good team in that show.

That’s so cool man, I would love to throw my leg over an early 2000’s liter bike with none of the riding aids. I just know they have a raw feeling
Bikes have not had this performance for decades
Old school will always win 😂
Kawasaki is a legend 💚🖤
Bob Marley too
Vicky's laughter @ 3:59 = AWESOME.
Love this gal.

Great to watch! My Busa is a great ride too!

What rider aids?.
@@MikeTheBike58 the zx14 has a gear indicator and has 6 lights in the headlight lol. All the rider aids needed on a big bike aye.

She looks nice in leathers
bet she looks better out of them.....
"Bikes are so sexy"
Very!
and so is she !
Girls om bikes 😋😍
Loved it!

I still remember opening up an MT-07 down a slip road during DAS training. Rode that high for a week! A ZZR on a drag strip sounds amazing!
Cool. I didn't know they ride bikes to test. Is there any other fifth gear that features mainly bikes?
It wouldn’t hurt if picture Quality was Better!.
13 years, technology has come a long ways..
Tiff might have gone faster, but Vicky looked better doing it in those blue racing leathers 🤣
I bet Vicky bought one later on and took it up to 186. 🤣🤣
noooo just after 250 km/h it gets scary
A pity,they didnt get a professional,Guy Martin,would have got ,top end!
its only sexy Vicki, having a laugh with Tiff,
good stuff... i stil prefer 5th gear to top gear...
no bullshit and dumb filler...
What a cool video, and nothing is more sexier than a lady on a motorbike!
ride me Vicky
But there’s 11 to play with Victoria
"... propel it to 186mph." No, Vicky, it won't stop at 186. It will go on until a little over 200mph.
No it won't it is electronically limited to 186mph.
@@MikeTheBike58 Mine isn't.
@@williamsterben can't be standard then.
@@williamsterben mine isn't either 🤣🤣
YOU GOT IT WRONG. IT HAT TO BE STRAIGHT UP. SO YOU BOTH HAD THE SPACE TO FLY. TO THE MOON.
Series?Episode?
Season 10 Episode 6
"bikes are so sexy.." splat!
Said James Dean and Paul Walker
3.44...its Tiffs turn and hes off to get his helmet!!!
The lucky sod....
Why have two car geeks embarrassing themselves on the best bike ever made ?
For fun?
Stick with four wheels chaps
Call me a nervous nelly if you like, but i found this whole thing dangerous. A lack of experience on that particular model combined with a speed competition, well...
I had to switch off before tiff , too lame
PLONKERS! I remember doing 150+ on the bloody naked street triple, what`s the deal..
162mph est top speed, for street triple so easy enough going 150+ the early one only did 142mph unless modified ecu etc
Experience...
That's the deal.

what a scary death machine
for about £4k
So are cars

well aren't you cool eh? ;)
Mother of all big bikes, haha, tell that to the Hayabusa.
In what way?
You lightweights. I change my bike into second gear at 80mph. Stick to driving cars
