The $167 price was a great deal!! Fallout is awesome and I am excited for this set. I am already setting up a Fallout night to play these decks Vanilla and see how they do.
I'm sure the sale of commander decks had a big impact but I'd be willing to bet the Venn diagram of MTG players and Fallout players has a bigger overlap than MTG and Doctor Who.
@@HometownTcg I really enjoy the concept of playing UB in their self-contained universe. Keeping core MTG separate from UB as much as possible. It provides a unique experience and immersion.
I’m a huge Fallout *and* Commander fan. I stopped playing Commander several years ago and sold off my cards, but this set really spoke to me. I preordered all 4 decks and grabbed the two Brothers’ War decks too with the intention of building some fun decks out of them. I’m looking forward to building a new play group and donating out the decks I’m not in love with to rope folks into the game.
From a collector standpoint, I think fallout will keep this thang going strong. The Fallout community is STRONG. I used to play Mtg when I was much younger but now that this set is dropping, me and even my family are about to crack these theme decks out and go hard. We LOVE fallout as a family so combining these two is bringing us back in. Big W.
This going to be one of the best products wizards have made if the cards hold up to the play environment of commander. As the themes of everything look stunning. I will be highly disappointed if this doesn’t cause a full on fallout set like LOTR years from now. As this series has a long history and so much to offer for themes.
Have no clue what Fallout is about as I have never played the game. Won’t be investing in this until deck lists are spoiled. In a way this allows me to take a break from MTG to snag singles or save up for the next set.
Fallout, to put it simply: is a Post Apocalyptic series in which the world went in a different direction which ended in the world becoming a nuclear wasteland, with each game exploring certain areas in the wasteland once known as the United States a few hundred years after detonation. I’ve never actually played MTG so I won’t recommend or be against playing it because of the crossover, I just wanted to give context.
Good IP, should be just as popular as Warhammer. I'm only interested in getting a set of the decks. They reprinted Warhammer 3? Times I believe? If it's popular they will keep printing them. I'm not interested in the collector packs personally
"limited"? Aren't there 3500 serialized cards? Assuming the pull rates are the same for serialized, they're going to have to print quite a lot of collector booster boxes for all those.
I wonder if the sales listings get removed when the pre-orders get canceled.. I know a number of people who've had TCGP pre-orders canceled for this. Doesn't change they hype/FOMO, but yeah.. once the first cancellation emails started rolling out, communities started rumbling and people went out scouring for any boxes they could. As for Commander decks.. they weren't moving and now a few shops have been selling them off at distribution-level pricing to get them out the door.
The tool will always go back and remove sales that drop off the sold listings for cancelations/etc! The decks have been crazy - when the tool was running last night I popped onto the server to look at it and couldn't believe the volume in just a single day
Thats why I ordered from an ebay store with 300k sales and 100% reviews. I will have to wait a bit more on shipping, but got really good deals and feel safe on the purchase.
End of video questions. I saw the demand coming. So many people will just buy the decks and put them with their fallout collection. The video games with collector edition versions always do well and sell out. The community is rabid for these types of things. Now, with collector box allocation, i didn't see that coming. I figured it would be limited, but wow, they cut hard. Well, as long as this isn't some distro induced fomo wave. But it seems weird to cut stores that hard if they have tons sitting back. But i never anticipated a certain channel snowball doing shady things games that shall not be named. At any rate it'll be interesting to watch.
I think the collector boxes are only allocated so much because wizards put them on presale at a decent price months ago and they just sold so many direct. A lot of stores bought from there as well instead of distribution
@@Zerostatik it keeps changing so often it's hard to know how to get anything anymore. Preorder? Wait till release? Lgs? Amazon? It seems to be different all the time
I pre ordered the Moth Sultai deck. I see Sultai & I buy, I'm a simple gal 😹 (If the spoiler from Thunder Junction is true, I'll get that Sultai precon too)
I dont think its that deep lol... Fallout is one of the best IPs ever created. I got all precons and a collector box for a little over $400. Havent been this hyped on a paper product in 20 years.
I want to buy the Caesar deck, but Im holding the purchase for when the deck list is out. Aint no way Im spending so much money for just the commander (So far, the cards spoiled for the deck are nothing im excited about).
You have to remember to tell me how the CB opening goes - I am always interested in anyone who is a fan of the IP and how they feel about the experience!
@@Nemissis4265You're totally right, which is why we PROXY. So nobody thinks they're real cards. If you're Pod has a barrier to entry for play, good luck to you and yours!
That would be $20 today after inflation, and the game had zero traction then... Every commander deck precon is this price. There are some commander precons like LOTR that are at like a $70 market even after its release wave.
Didn't this happen with the warhammer 40k decks seems like wotc will release a second wave after fomo plays out. They did this for warhammer and lord of the rings so I'm going to wait and see what happens
I believe the set of 4 Fallout commander decks have every card in the Fallout set from a mechanical perspective. I believe the only stuff the collector boosters have not in the previous are alternative art/boarders.

This is the first set of commander decks that I pre ordered all of them
They look really cool and even though I am not some massive "Fallout" fan I REALLY like the theme.

If it was short printed I think we would see serialized pull rates increased. I think they will flood the market as usual.

No. A number of cards are Collector Booster exclusives.
