Every now and again MTG will release a set that gets me super excited, Foundations is one of them, the last one was Lost Caverns of Ixalan for the Jurassic World cards, Foundations this week for the mass nostalgia bait, and the next one will be Final Fantasy because well, it's Final Fantasy.
My issue isnt with UB. Its with UB taking an EQUAL sitting position to the MTG IP. Its with WOTC not carefully selecting which IPs to allow to crossover.
@HometownTcg in other games the foils don't come curled . I haven't personally seen foils from Lorcana, Pokémon, Yugioh, One Piece, Star wars that were curled .
That's a very cool Llanowar Elves. I'm a big fan of the Japanese Anime. The cards from the collectors packs look really good. I think serialized cards should have different artwork. Wizards got lazy and just stuck some numbers on the cards. One problem that I have noticed for the past few years is that when you open the 12 packs from a collectors box is there are far too many repeats of the same cards. This should not be happening considering how big the sets are. Thank you for the video.
Nearly all MTG content UA-camr's have the "get off my lawn" attitude about the Universes Beyond being legal in multiple magic formats. I've been playing MTG since 1994 and think the change is awesome! Magic needs to evolve. Bring it on!
I agree, plus when its one of your favorite francise, it makes it extra special. I don't know if it is possible, but i would love to see Legend of Zelda as a UB someday.
The problem is the fatigue many of these other IPs can get, Marvel for example is everywhere, it get annoying... The original flavor, aesthetics and lore of Magic starts to get devalued with time if continues this way. No problem with UBs, but being half the sets of next year is concerning. One other thing is that it takes off the possibility of creating original arts and designs within the cards, because once you bring established franchises such as Marvel, you already have the visuals defined, very established characters and designs. So in terms of flavor things starts to get homogenized, because everywhere you go you will see the same faces and characters. It would be cool if UBs where used to bring more people into the original world and lore of Magic. Unfortunately Wizards don't invest much in their own IP.

I can’t tell if you’re kidding or not but just to be sure this box is from my own collection, I do not own a game store, nor am I affiliated with any game stores or WotC in any way.

Its not the "first pack" thats the last pack. It shouldve been on the bottom of the right side but stuck in the box, If you'd had the arrangement right, and gone left to tight, thats the last pack
He's talking about first pack opened.. but also to your point, not quite. It was from the front of that column, his left thumb dragged it back and he placed it back on top, correctly. So it would've been either 2nd or 7th if opening left to right by row or by column, respectively.
