@@rocketman3485 however, if you do have it, it is reusable for a long time, unlike the mouse trap made out of wood that will be destroyed. And also the mice and perhaps rats it can kill will keep your food safe and even... give you a little extra to put in your stew... :)
My mom’s family is from Kössen in Tirol. I haven’t been there since around 1994 or so. Man I miss Kössen! I used to go there every few years to visit family, but now they’re all dead of old age and nobody is left. Greeting from Los Angeles.
As I dont have a lathe either, I think I will try a pipe and tap a thread over the outside. Will modify this for .22 nail gun blanks, and just offset it for rimfire. Great video thanks.
I've been searching channels looking for a simple device and fabrication. I'm VERY Pleased that you have done it. I also don't have a metal lathe...so seeing someone fabricate this with a few pieces of hardware and a welder...Is Awesome. The History lesson was quite nice too. I learned two things today. Thanks for a Great video.
Nice work! I am an American living in Czech and regularly travel to Austria. It is a beautiful place and it is good to see that there are some right thinking people there. ;)
Great engineering. I made one for 17$. Yours is simpler. I would add a 90deg bend to the flat plat in the middle so it could be used as a mounting surface. Add holes for screws or cord.
So glad to see you back. I just saw your last video right before this and I was so excited. Can't wait to support your patreon page and to see what else you have in store.
Very entertaining...and I learned something too! I don't have a welder but will have to try the entire construction with solder. Also enjoyed the part about Austrian history. Keep up the goo work!
I made some of these for the garden area of my Bug out spot to scare the deer away!! I used a small tube to make it a bit louder!! Works goid!! Thanks!!✌
I thank you for the truth,a man of honor.Thank you for the post,I learned a thing I did not know before. This alarm may save my behind dsome day. Stay strong, brother, stay prould. FROM U.S.A.
This is the first of your videos I've ever seen and I'm impressed! Thanks for sharing your valuable tips and tricks, you've got a new subscriber and fan. Stay safe my friend
Great video! Though it seemed a little over complicated. 12 gauge rounds fit in 3/4-inch schedule 40 pipe and the pipe can be bought pre-threaded. ;) Thanks for the video.
The hole in the nail + pin combination results in too much friction and difficulty to trigger. Better would be a double notch on the nail and a plate with a notch, to keep tension and release the nail.
I made mine to take .22 blanks and power loads for the power hammers used in construction.. I made mine similarly but with smaller parts which are cheaper, easier to get and much lighter, allowing you to carry more alarms and more shells as well as being able to use a wider variety of metals.
I'm in the Pacific Northwest of Canada and do not own any power tools,is there a way to put something similar to the tripwire system you put together with only hand tools or even just a multitool?
Is there any way of doing this electronically without a physical trip wire? I want to do something like that for a sensor across my walkway to my porch. My neighbors let their dogs out and the first place they run is my front porch to try and get my daughter's cats
I've learnt some important lessons with these. Firstly they are indeed dangerous. Secondly they aren't needed. They may alert that an intruder is around but they are so loud they alert the world to your position. Better and much safer using rattling tin cans.
Very cool vid I finally watched right through to the end! The slow mo is wicked. Who would have thought a primer could provide that much action. I paid over 100$ for a couple of these. Not again thanks to this vid!!!!
A price of galvanized pipe 3/4" if I recall . . .a bell reducer and a price of round stock that fits the small end and a price of tape to be sure it stays . A price of pipe ( old muffler pipe works well , and a long cotter pin for a . . . . . pull pin that your trip wire attaches to . Put the 12 gauge shell into the galvanised pipe screw on the bell reducer then insert the round stock ( turn the end or hammer it to a point ) then put some tape to keep it located off the primer ( Be careful if it hits the primer it will go boom ) also if parts and time aren't a problem use a spring and epoxy or silicone each end of the spring over the round stock to keep it in place as it's safer . Then drill a hole through the muffler pipe off center so the pipe , shell bell reducer can't pass the cotter pin in the pipe . Put in the pin run trip wire attach to cover pin so the pin will pull out of the muffler pipe allowing the ' assembly ' to drop and it's own weight will drive the round stock into the primer . . .Boom ! No welding or tools required as a nail and hammer will put holes into the muffler pipe . All else is hand assembled . My outer perimeter will have these . . . .and a couple other types . My second perimeter will be bodies of those that didn't get the message from the first perimeters warning . I like the Vlad deterrent technique . Be well and again great bid .
now was a pretty good idea, nice one, not to difficult, time consuming i would thing, but very doable, glad to see your back! Keep up the good work, gotta go check my cam for predator intruders at the cabin
wild pigs be the issue here, looking for a way to scare them away so my dogs do not bark all night coyotes are friendly however, my dogs sing with them, pretty neat actually, at least i love listening to it when they wake me thanks for a great video, the sneaking trap set was cute
If you added a funnel to where the blast goes out it would amplify the noise into a specific direction depending whrre the funnel is pointed incase you were to set this up at a furthar distance and didnt want or cant use pew pew powder to make a louder pop (either to save resources in a real situation or for legal reasons)
i think welding a hinge to the big nut would be better than using a cut off wheel to let shell drop in, also using a brazing rod will be stonger than the solder.
You can make it a lot easier. I use a mousetrap, do a hole in the wood and place the cartridge through it.
And that doesn't even require a post apocalyptic welder and drill press.

I need this badly for my back yard deer intrusion who are damaging all my garden plants and apple trees. Thnx for sharing 👍
This man is a savage! MIG welding with your fingers that close and no gloves... I'm impressed.
Thinking the same thing like he has a vise and clamps .☺️
As I dont have a lathe either, I think I will try a pipe and tap a thread over the outside. Will modify this for .22 nail gun blanks, and just offset it for rimfire. Great video thanks.
Excellent video. Beautiful camera work with the close-ups so we could see the details of your work. You’re a great craftsman! Well, done, my friend!

Thank you so much for the basic explanation of the design and it's purpose.

10,000 TIMES thank. It found this site in 2023 and 10,000 thanks.
Thats awesome off to the shop and start making some
Enjoy your special day. Love and respects from North Pole, Alaska USA
Very interesting. Amazed by your skill for manufacture the parts in your home shop without a lathe. Awesome video! Thank you so much.
Thank u brother! I'm a new subscriber, looking forward to watch more of ur content.. ! Take care, stay dangerous my brother! Luv from Sweden/Finland!
Nice the kid didn't even flinch LOL nice job
Very entertaining...and I learned something too! I don't have a welder but will have to try the entire construction with solder. Also enjoyed the part about Austrian history. Keep up the goo work!
I was thinging about using JB Weld. Probably better than solder.
thanks, I am going to add a Teflon washer to reduce the friction.
Great work bro 💥
I made some of these for the garden area of my Bug out spot to scare the deer away!! I used a small tube to make it a bit louder!! Works goid!! Thanks!!✌
I happened to stumble across this video on the Fourth of July what luck. God Bless

subbed on merit of her reaction alone! LOL
Nice work, I like the idea of using just the primer of the shotshell instead of a live round
I love the ingenuity!
You can find handy small springs like that inside the pump mechanism of old heavy-duty spray bottles.
Great video! Though it seemed a little over complicated. 12 gauge rounds fit in 3/4-inch schedule 40 pipe and the pipe can be bought pre-threaded. ;)
Thanks for the video.
probably not available in Austria, and likely verboten

Good Job Sir
Awsome video , thanks from Tupelo Mississippi
You are my new favorite dude.
Hello from Alpena, Michigan awesome video
"I have some chocolate for you in the forge"
Never imagined that someone could use this sentence properly...
I made mine to take .22 blanks and power loads for the power hammers used in construction.. I made mine similarly but with smaller parts which are cheaper, easier to get and much lighter, allowing you to carry more alarms and more shells as well as being able to use a wider variety of metals.
Thanks for the video. Great project.
Nice work!
This guy is awesome happy viking day! Lol keep up the good work and videos!
Quite clever, I came across this by accident but I am impressed
Great video. Very informative and easy to follow the steps from start to finish. Thank you for sharing the information!
Dude, that was crazy welding with live shell. Count your blessings.
I'm in the Pacific Northwest of Canada and do not own any power tools,is there a way to put something similar to the tripwire system you put together with only hand tools or even just a multitool?
Nice work with the minimum of tools. Enjoyed it.
Glad y'all back.
Welcome back! I hope you have video of the bug out car you guys were building.
your sweater is awesome. I like it. great job. good video
Glad to see you back
deine vids haben eine echt gute quali und der kontent ist echt sehr interessant! :D
thanks for your history love the channel

Great to see you back
Great Video. Thanks
And they’re back! Great idea!
A really neat build, nicely designed and executed.
nice what size nut holds ths shell?
I am so happy your guys are making videos again keep up all the great great work
I've learnt some important lessons with these. Firstly they are indeed dangerous. Secondly they aren't needed. They may alert that an intruder is around but they are so loud they alert the world to your position. Better and much safer using rattling tin cans.
A flash from a camera bulb if your awake.
Very cool vid

Right on! Very good! Thanks
very good video. easy stuff to find laying around. Thanks

I think its great. Keep protecting your loved ones and community.
Dude, I kind of wonder if we weren't related in some way at some point, we resemble each other quite a bit. Thats unreal lol
Very cool I am going to make one
now was a pretty good idea, nice one, not to difficult, time consuming i would thing, but very doable, glad to see your back! Keep up the good work, gotta go check my cam for predator intruders at the cabin
great video!!!
I wish this channel would expand what Ive seen is awesome like the zombie or alien something channel he had an appearance on
wild pigs be the issue here, looking for a way to scare them away so my dogs do not bark all night
coyotes are friendly however, my dogs sing with them, pretty neat actually, at least i love listening to it when they wake me
thanks for a great video,
the sneaking trap set was cute
Great idea. Glad I watched.
Guten Haben, meine freunde. Well done on the alarm!
Love your videos love your inventions love your character love learning from you , you are a good celebrity god bless all the best friend from England
Verry smart,,thank for the idea 😎👍🇮🇹
Nice build, I could see something like this coming in handy while camping in bear country
I'm really glad you are back guys! :)
You deserve more subscribers
Lol, that was a good video. Thank u for sharing ✌️
Thank you.......
Another great video. Thank you for sharing. Please keep the videos coming.
Great Video. Thank you and Welcome back.
great video, good to see you back again. I particularly enjoy your trips in the woods.
Awesome vid. Welcome back...
Love the concept...alot of tools needed to make this. Awesome job though...keep up the great work.
Years ago we used to use a simple weight drop using gravity and a small weight on a thin metal rod, much easier to make and use indoors or outside
Great video. I watched the Taufladermaus vid a few weeks ago, but very cool to see your DIY version. 👍
You could replace that blasting cap with a push button switch to make an electronic alarm trigger also.
If you added a funnel to where the blast goes out it would amplify the noise into a specific direction depending whrre the funnel is pointed incase you were to set this up at a furthar distance and didnt want or cant use pew pew powder to make a louder pop (either to save resources in a real situation or for legal reasons)
You guys are finally back 👍
Wow!! now i have learnt a simple method for securing my beer storage :D ;) great job!
always remember to do the welding with a live round in the bolt kids
It was obviously a spent shell casing.
Spoken in the wisdom of the ancients.
You do know kids seldom pick up sarcasm. Plonker.
I did that when I was 15 . Making a .22 pistol. Shot a hole in the side of the shed . Fun times
Im more impressed with him holding the nut while welding without gloves.
Good work
Good job.
Good idea, thx for sharing this highly applicable in my neck of the woods!
Awesome content!!
Dude you Rock! Great video!
Use a bit of oil next time you drill in metal. Your bits will last longer. Just a tip. I like your ingenuity.
i think welding a hinge to the big nut would be better than using a cut off wheel to let shell drop in, also using a brazing rod will be stonger than the solder.
Love the video mate great job 👍👍✊️
Nice Jumper, where do I get one ?
A video about salvaging metal for knives would be nice
There are a number of other channels that are dedicated to that, but it would be cool to see what he would make.
Finally some cool creative videos from you guys again!!
