I think that this was a very fair fight to put two diablos against Nergigante. Not a lot of creatures are immune to Nergigante's troll attack where he flies in the air and punches the ground and instantly knocking everything it touches to the dirt.
Diablos however, when it is preparing to dig underground, it is actually completely immune to the attack. A lot of people say they're not surprised that nergigante finishes one-on-one fights very quickly. I don't think this was the case with black diablos. She held her own quite well against him and I believe that she would have taken him out had she gone under the ground more often and aimed the attack at him while taking advantage of his low health and distraction with the player.
I know a lot of nergigante lovers are going to hate this comment and say that he is almost on par with "black dragons" and since his lore is described as the "elder eater" that nothing can beat it which I don't believe that is all necessarily true especially when it comes to Fatalis'
lore. I don't hate Nergigante at all, he is not my favorite elder dragon but I still think he has a very handsome design and I think he makes a very good and powerful addition to the monster Hunter universe.
I am however, talking about how the monster ai works in the game. Nergigante is designed to go after elder dragons and is less inclined to get distracted by the player when another elder is in the fight. Having regular monsters fight it is actually a real good advantage because nergigante will give them leeway by paying attention to the player and giving the other monsters a chance to attack. And judging by how close the fight was, the battle could have just as easily been won by the black diablos, had her Ai been a little more strategic against him.

I was so pissed at what bazelgeuze did to him that I loved this video even more. I still don't understand how toaster managed to beat him 1v1 since he had the most knocked down for the majority of the fight
I'd honestly be intrigued to see Deviljho VS something strong (like Luna or something), but have fanged wyvern in the arena too, so we can see to what extent he'll actually use his weapon against them. I think that'd be cool.

Mayonnaise Sama I know, but I hope someone come out with a mod to add some of the monster in arena. It is sad that the Elder Dragons, Flying, Brute and Fanged Wyvern are getting all the love, while Piscine Wyvern tend to be ignored because they are just one of the kind species in World and Bird Wyvern is just too weak for everything else. Lavasioth is actually quite powerful if he really goes up against large monsters with his ranged blast attack and he have a very hard shell armor too, but things is that he need to dive into the lava to repair his armor which suck ugh oh well...
Well vaal can only use effluvium in the rotten vale but that did not stop him from entering the arena
Loved the part where Nergigante targets the hunter and then gets a horn uppercut from below by Black Diablos.
Heheheheee... Thats my Nergi! The true berserker of World. That death spiral frenzy of his has left many a hunter crying on their carts. Put him up solo against Vaal, Luna, or the Psycho Pony plz. The battle of Elders is far from over. Heck if we could see some ArchTempered monsters that would be awesome as well. Keep'em coming Tag, you rock!

@@egemenozcelik7494 No one calls Bazel hard. With Deviljho he's only hard when tempered because he has giant hitboxes on his attacks and does a lot of damage.

from my experience using mod fighting Black Diablos in the arena is a lot more annoying because it always go underground and some weapon can't chase or counter the dive that easily since unlike diablos it could fake the jump, while nergi is a lot more fun and faster to kill >.

the best are in the end when they are almost tie, but nergi wins after all so beautiful savage comback xD
I have to say, some of these things kind of annoyed me; why don't the Blos wyverns get flinched by his roar? Even monsters like Deviljho did, and vice versa, but here, they never did. Along with that, it's kinda bothersome that they removed the ability for other monsters to sonic them out of the ground with roars. B.Blos was exhausted and one point and completely underground when Nerg roared, but nothing happens. C'mon, in previous titles, B.Blos would've been ground trapped. Well, whatever I guess. Nerg has established he's a comeback king!
Nergi does sonic the diablos out of the ground. He has two different roars, one stuns one doesn't
I never saw Diablos look like it was stuck in a pitfall trap, but I did see it teleport back above ground and flinch...that was cool, I guess.

I think this was a very fair fight. I wouldn't want to go against a pair of diablos even if I was a Nergigante. The reason why I think this fight is more fair than the others is because not a lot of other monsters can be immune to that attack where Nergigante flies up in the air and then punches the ground. That attack has an instant stun to any monster that is hit. its to knock everything on the ground. But what I liked about the diablos is that it would dig underground at that perfect moment where Nergigante would launch that attackand since diablo's is in the middle of digging it is completely immune to it giving it the chance to counter attack. I think the to beat diablos had a very fair chance Win and I think that black diablos would have taken him out if she would have kept going underground and aiming the attack at him while his health was Low and knocked down the several times he was.

If only Capcom had actual monster vs monster AI. Nerg can grab so that alone means every other monster would get demolished. Bazel only wins due to bombs doing 90 percent of the damage in any fight, without those trip mines he'd get smashed rather easily by Odogaron. I'd love to see some better AI, with monsters actually fighting smart. I had a laugh one time fighting Nerg and Kushala showed up, Nerg snatched him/her by the face and introduced them to the ground and tossed em like yesterday's trash. Nerg and Xeno are highly developed dragons, grabbing hands up front.
