Same here had a new clutch replaced drove it back to the shop and parked it. Went to take it to get the brakes touched up and boom 3 minutes after starting her up she starts making a squealing noise that sounds identical to a bad pulley, but when you engage the clutch the sound completely stops. So after engaging and disengaging the clutch to see if the noise would stop I tried one more time and boom clutch pedal just slammed to the floor gotta love life
I'm guessing all different models of vehicles may make different pitch sounds depending how bad they are worn or un lubed . I'm getting a sound.. when I engage clutch it quiets down drastically. I'm aware I may have a squeaky belt pulley or something else but do notice my clutch actually sets me in motion when I press all the way down and then release from down there. ... what am I looking at in costs in so. California 2004 ram 1500 v6 3.7 need a clutch quote
Most clutch kits dont come with the pilot bearing. 8nnmy casec I am wondering if this is making the noise. Because there is not the same rattle noise that happens when the clutch pedal is pressed in.. it sounds like more of a squealing noise with the engine running.. then when you push the clutch in it goes away.. also if you push the clutch in about 1/2 inch it goes away.. I was think either it was the pilot bearing or Loose fork on the throw out bearing? Dried out pilot bearing thats going? It all points to an ecoensive repair and while you're in there might as well replace the whole clutch.. and pilot bearing which does not come with the clutch and has to be ordered seperately.. so yeah..its either ignore it until it goes at a time and place where it will need a tow or fix it... so looks like were in the same boat.
I have the same noise. Before trying it I had a couple of questions though. Did the other bearing brake due due the grease you put in? E.g. the grease flying around an bringing particles where they should not? Was the clutch greasy when you took it out? I would apreciate clearing that up.
How can we be 100% sure it is the throw out bearing? I have a dodge neon srt4 and mechanics told me that noise is related to the input shaft bearing not the tob as i thought initially, how to be sure?
I have a weird sound. It almost sounds like a flutter when the clutch is released in first gear at higher rpms. Its there in 2nd gear but harder to hear. Its hard to explain what it sounds like but its like something is knocking or tapping and it get quieter after every knock. Almost like a flutter it doesnt get faster after every tap. I cant find anything on the internet about it

Throw out bearing..and by the sounds check your clutch and flywheel they might be gone aswell when flywheel/flexplate wears away to much the clutch will bond to the flywheel or it will slip..good luck
Is that a front wheel drive? And where did you spray for that joint? Looked like you were spraying that fork more on the clutch side... I'm still having a squeak, but I was being extremely careful with the spray I have so I don't think I hit the spot well or got the wrong side.
This is a 1982 toyota hilux rwd. I sprayed the clutch fork where it meets the pivot. I used white lithium grease. I also ended up finding out that my throwout bearing had started to fail causing a rattle that the squeak was hiding. I pulled the trans and di a new flywheel, clutch and both pilot bearing and throwout bearing. I also replace my master and slave cylinder while it was apart.
Got a nissan d21. No clutch pressure at all sits on floor. Got a new master snd slave and bled and nothing. Clutch fork is all the way to rear (back of truck) at rest resting on pivot joint. Will noy move by hand. Based on pics I've seen it appears my fork is farther back than others. About 2 inches of slave piston out and based on pics should be about a half inch any ideas? It woulf seem to me no matter what goes on beyond slave I should still have pressute at pedal
i have an 89 d21 with the z24. i also changed my master and slave units. had no pressure.. turned out that on the bracket the connects to your clutch pedal had to be adjusted.. after i turned it like 5 or six times i had full clutch pressure... hope this helps ya.
why is the noise more when clutch is out? That's when the throw out bearing is not spinning? or its rattling side to side? so clutch it presses the bearing on the springs so doesn't get chance to rattle?
When your clutch is out and in neutral We are spinning the entire transmission and there's going to be noise absolutely every single year every ball bearing

Are all gearbox able to remove the sleeve that the thrust bearing goes on and replace it. My gearbox thrust bearing was that bad that it wore out the sleeve that it slides on

Hey y'all that's not a bad throwout bearing that rattling at the end of the video is the pressure plate fingers so you need a different brand or you need to tighten it in a star pattern

I have a yaris that sounds like this but I got a full clutch job 5 months ago.. I'm just waiting for a change In shift feel or something, I have a aaa membership in case a part fails suddenly. Would you suspect that my new flywheel was unevenly torqued? My clutch pedal has a vibration feel at the top 10% of the stroke. My car was perfect before the clutch job I regret it !
Had same problem sprayed it took nose away but did something to Frist gear if I could go bk I'd leave it well alone my clutch was new enough aswell this shit happens in cars it's normal not ment to last for ever just drive it squeak is no hard
Is white lithium grease the best recommendation ? I have a 97 mustang v6 and my clutch fork is squeaking against my pivot ball thingy whenever my clutch pedal is released and wanted to know if that grease is best for lubrication and fixing that annoying chirping sound.

Install the different brand with a brand new fly we'll and almost all of the vibration is gone however now I hear a draging n sound within the transmission itself and the entire transmission was rebuilt recently..... What am I transmission was tore down the input check bearing had a japanese marking on it so now wondering if the japanese bearings are no longer available it's making all kinds of dragging noises not very loud but Oh well

He showed a new clutch kit with a new throw out bearing since that is the issue. You could just replace the throw out bearing or do what i assume he did and put on that new clutch kit with a throw out bearing
At the end of the video you can hear the throw out bearing wobbling from the fingers of the pressure plate who knows a lot of people have got this problem And the Chinese parts don't help

I have the same noise with my 06’ Mazda 3 hatchback. Will lubricant and hopefully won’t need to replace the clutch and components. Great video!

I couldn't tell you the cost. Probably around 1800. But yes every car is different.

I had that rap and tapping on the very first clutch kit that is shop installed on a Nissan truck

You said you had to pull the trans again? Did it end up being an input shaft bearing in the trans or was it actually the throwout bearing ?
only pulled it once,. replaced everything while it was out and its been a year now 0 problems.

Possibly you accidently oversprayed the clutch/components,did you Evan check the throwout bearing?
I replaced the whole clutch assembly and bearings later on. The noise was the throwout bearing if im not mistaken. Its been quite a few years

My vehicle it was the throwout bearing. The input shaft bearing whines. It is inside of the transmission

Do you hear any "krrrg krrrg krrrg" noise occasionally coming from your transmission and if you do ,is it due to the bad release bearing?

Thats probably unrelated to the bearings. You have clutch issues. Low transmission fluid or synchros are going bad.

I have the same problem, I plenty sprayed white lithium 3 days ago and the noise is back on. I wonder if there is any better grease…

What if i have pressure in my clutch when the cars off but when its running i have no pressure?
could be the clutch pedal itself need some adjustment for the clutch engagement point

That clutch out is not a throwout bearing, they make noise when pressing the clutch in
Sure was the throw out bearing. I replaced it and I still daily this truck. The noise is gone
Throwout bearing does nothing if the clutch is not being pressed in, unless u explained it the other way around.
I fix mine flush and refill my gear oil.
Mine gets louder when I rev it
Thats rod knock or timing chains
Hard to say but if it changes with rpm thats a bad thing

The noise is from the slave squeaking on the clutch fork
Just kinda sucks cause my clutch is brand new, looks like this shitty garage is gunna have to take my car back and do it right.
