- The Duchess of Cambridge has declared "the time for action is now" on the issue of early childhood development, describing it as the "social equivalent of climate change".
Kate was speaking as she gathered a panel of experts at the London School of Economics to discuss the inaugural report of her new Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.

William chose well she has blossomed in a true English Rose and she is absolutely perfect for her role now and in the future what a fantastic addition to our Royal family she's a natural and she comes across as so passionate and caring. Having a mother who is a successful entrepreneur has given Kate much know how needed for a demanding job. Kate is a terrific role model and from stateside surely appreciate her work . Lovely in every way but especially her enormous heart.

What a lovely warm, caring and intelligent lady is Duchess of Cambridge. The perfect one to be entrusted with this project. She has a way of exuding self confidence, but retains a level of humbleness and an almost endearing shyness. And she has the amazing capability of being a truly good listener. Beautiful inside and out. Her happy childhood and family makes her empathetic to those less fortunate and in a great position to promote this much needed cause. Catherine is a credit to our Royal family.
It's just for show, she does show a nice facade but in all, it sounds very staged and the speaking is just pre-written spiel. Nothing is genuine, if she'd care, we'd see her donate the money and see actual change happen with all the severely poor and ill people around whilst they're be funded by taxpayers whilst living with far too much in a world where many have less and not even basic needs being met eg. food, water and shelter.

Look at all these celebrities with millions in the bank and more bathrooms then they could ever need to use. Unless socialism sweeps the world (which is highly unlikely) it won't happen anytime soon.

I agree with everything the Duchess has said. Unfortunately our government designed an early years programme that was underfunded and created more problems than it solved.
Our children deserve excellent care and it would be helpful if this government supported the wishes of parents, the public and the Royal Family by delivering that care.

She’s getting more confident with public speaking and not so nervous talking in front of a crowd. She seems to do better speaking in smaller groups or one on one.
She's doing amazingly well, genuine, humble and not over bl..... confident. Leave her alone. There's nothing worse than an over confident disingenuous speaker who either reads from a teleprompter or rehearses it so well, it's not real. I can see how nervous the Duchess is and can sympathise with her being shy/uncomfortable in front of the camera. It may get a bit better, but unlikely to go away completely. Best of luck with her initiative. On a human level, as a regular person, I concur with her that our early years are fundamental in the person's development.
I believe Duchess just ignores the Camera even being there; I see genuine smiles and care far others; she focuses on who she is talking with not the camera; That is the reason she comes across as genuine caring person she is; That is the reason the whole world loves her; I t would be wonderful if educators from America could have some meeting with her; I am seeing a lot of things just watching these meeting she is having at these schools we could use here; Maybe even Some of these teachers from there could have meeting with teachers here. I think here in America a terrible mistake was made by putting Computers in the class-rooms. Have seen no computers in these class-rooms over there; Whether we like it not these children over there are at much higher level with wrighting skills than here.
I watched school visit with her and Jill Biden and Jill seemed to be really interested in the skills of these children; I am hoping she will get more involved in education of young children here.

I think I've read recently it was the advice Prince Philips had given her: to never look at the camera, and just mind her business.
Catherine is beautiful, elegant, classy and so likable. I think she looked nervous too and I felt nervous for her but the more public speaking she does the more comfortable she'll be. In time she'll be an old hand and it won't phase her. She's gorgeous!
