The only character I think should be moved is Marvin. He should be bottom of somewhere in between tier. A good Marvin can make the game impossible to play, however a bad or newer Marvin player gets 3 stocked by the whole roster. Thoughts?
Marvin is nowhere near as 'balanced'. The fact that he not only is very light, but also he struggles badly to get stocks is quite annoying. They even nerfed his button loops. His wincon requires his rocket to land on you, since his other ways to get stocks is at very high percentages. It is absurd how much you have to struggle to get stocks with him. A good player knows of the strengths and weaknesses of him, but his major flaw is how easy it is for him to die, alongside with the previous issue, he also has absurd amounts of cool downs in almost All his kit. All in all, he's a mid tier character (Velma isn't Mid, she's Low), because while he has some good stuff (rocket, down tilt grounded and air, button), there's a lot of problems that may make him not a viable option. I do main Marvin, and while he isn't terrible, a lot of the cast can rob him from stocks our out maneuver his shenanigans.
I disagree with people that say Superman is cheap, if he was people would use him more and we barely find people using him, on the other hand we find a shit ton of Jokers, Harleys, Wonder womans, Shaggys, Samurai jacks, Batmans, Gizmo. People that don't play superman always say he is cheap but i bet you anything those people can't get a streak of wins with him if they face competent players.
The way I see Superman is that he’s cheap for lower level players, and the reason he doesn’t appear as much is because he doesn’t have much for higher level players to sink their teeth into, but of course that just my opinion
Superman is cheap because he’s like taz or finn. He just wants to catch a dodge and kill you. Also supermans have a lot of gimmicky tactics. Trust me lol
it’s the constant armor he gets that pisses me off. That’s what makes him cheap asf for me. He can just tank an attack with a charge and then kill you with an uppercut at like 40% damage. it’s insane really. He’s annoying asf to go against tbh

Jason can dodge the N special and Smith is so fucking plus, he can just do it again because of how slow Jason is. Or he can dodge into jab, dodge into another N special etc. The only thing Jason seems to be able to punish is sidespecial which is a little unsafe. He is too slow to whiff punish anything else even if he reads.

I'm not going to lie I have a hard time killing with Finn even if I do his combos and 0 to death, his kit relies too much on dodge reads instead of having guaranteed kills, he is a lot of fun I just wish he had stronger kill power as any opponent with good di is basically a wall finn has to climb whereas other characters can kill so much easier
I want you to try something. Try playing Taz, doing nothing but mostly spin, then tell me if you think he's where he should be. Im telling you, you can be crazy with just that one move. Folks dodge but still get hit. It's abusable af. Please try this. He's slept on because most players arent abusing it.
heres the thing though the spin is incredibly slow and most people can just run away from it and avoid it now i will say in 2s he gets alot better cause more is going on and usually people get caught by more things in 2s but i still think he isnt nearly as good as anybody in the top 2 tiers
@@nsiflong not being as abusable as the top tiers doesn't mean he's just fine. Even in ones, my little brother stomps in 1s with literally just that move. I see streamers, high winning players, get destroyed or struggle with it. 2s is where he shines mostly, like you said, but he can definitely be a menace in 1v1s too, dont get it twisted.

You can only bite with Jake once per stock. That’s not broken. If you bite twice in a stock they can immediately break out. I can tell you have played many Jake’s. Neither have I and I have 1000 Jake wins. Against most characters he isn’t good. He can only do that to Finn because of his broken loop that leaves him vulnerable at the edge of the map. I wish they would remove bite and give him big buffs but that won’t happen because why would pfg make the game fun? Lol
I’m actually getting insanely tired of shaggy. Like Samurai Jack isn’t even that big of an issue like post people point him out to be, but at the same time Shaggy is over here powering up every 2 seconds and spamming side special worse than any Samurai Jack player. Nobody is talking about shaggy and how powerful he really is, no skill at all just plain power ups and side specials. At least Jack has a bar that fills up over time, but shaggy can do it at anytime literally and nobody talks about that lmao.
If you are actually dying to Ki charge and sidespecial spam then I think you're the one who doesn't have skill. You can turn on the lab and see how very minus this move is. You have 5 working days to punish it with literally any button.

well they made his ball good but then nerfed it cause people complained about it and now im stuck with a character that has good combos good kill potential and the best edge guarding in the game in my opinion but hes incredibly hard to start combos with unless you really know what you are doing whereas other characters you can flat out play them once and get better combos with them

Does anybody know a good place to go to learn higher level tech with individual characters? I've been playing marvin and stripe but I can't find any real guides to combos and how to master them.
Honestly pretty new fan of yours since I downloaded Multiversus but this video (although it’s opinion) is pretty mid. The fact that you put banana guard in the “where the balance should be” category is hilarious. Dude has no solid combos, crazy damage for single input moves and is the definition of a spammer whose moves tend to take priority. Not to mention his hit boxes for his attacks are really good.

Jake's bite does make him broken as hell for the most part. At least now it's easier to escape it now, so he is not bad to play. What holds him back is that you have to delay certain moves to counter dodges abit, cause majority of the cast has ways to have lingering hit boxes to cover that dodge space. Probably make fair linger just a bit longer and we be fine, that's my only buff I give him.
FUCK no. Timing his Sairs to counter dodge is a form of skill expression, something this game seems to be lacking. It's called reading your opponent, something nearly all fighting games have as a fundamental skill yet in this game the better half of the roster doesnt need to have that skill nearly to the degree everyone else does because some of them are damn near plus or in a good position on whiff
@derrickrobinson7269 also I don't mind reading the opponent and getting the timing right, and overtime I learned how to counter the dodges with fair cause sometimes I have to do other moves to catch those dodges or delay the fair to even catch that. Game sometimes does not register whether or I not got the hit especially if I hit it at the exact time they were going to dodge. Dam I sound like Piccolo saying dodge so much lol.

No. I’m a tj main and tbf they aren’t good enough. Tom without Jerry is Literally worse than Jason, Jerry can get killed by any move that does 10 dmg (ik that not many characters have like fast 10 dmg moves but yeah still a problem), the only reliable kill moves are up air, rocket and maybe fishing rod (cheesy)…… only environment where I could see them as a godlike tier is 2s, but no one playing 2s realistically

Jason does NOT need buffs, his kill power is some of the best in the game

No. I’m a tj main and tbf they aren’t good enough. Tom without Jerry is Literally worse than Jason, Jerry can get killed by any move that does 10 dmg (ik that not many characters have like fast 10 dmg moves but yeah still a problem), the only reliable kill moves are up air, rocket and maybe fishing rod (cheesy)…… only environment where I could see them as a godlike tier is 2s, but no one playing 2s realistically

@@puzzledhypnoshroom1004 he is still good. I love the Jerry shot so much cuz it combos so well into up b and dair. His Zoning, projectile spam and damn near infinite nspecial up b combo make him so tuff to face and fun to play. Imo he top 10, but Arya, IG, Gizmo, Finn, Joker n Morty are js a tier for themselves.
