Hopefully you guys will be talking about the cuts to cbeebies. We spoke with live chat before booking a stay as a treat for our daughter if they planned to keep 7pm as previous scarefest to be told yes.
@@garethpope8049 we’ve just cancelled our tickets as there’s no point going for a CBeebies land 5pm close. Beginning of the end for that area of the park I think.
@atimeformemories going to be requesting a complete refund of the £800 we just paid for a few nights stay in the themed room we only live 1.5hrs away no point staying for a 5pm close
A good idea for ride access is to not let poeople just prebook in advance. I think it will be a good idea to include park booking in the process, so that people can’t just book weeks in advance and then not use it/ don’t have tickets. I need to use ride access at Alton towers, but can never book it as it’s is always sold out
What exactly do they class as full face makeup? Would makeup around the eyes and cheeks/lips be OK? We have special ideas this year for smiler and nemesis costume and makeup. It's never been a problem before...
Omg same I was going to do a smiler cosplay. It's so confusing are we just not allowed to wear makeup at all?? What even counts as full face make up?? 😭
I think if it’s SFX makeup, it probably won’t be permitted by the sounds of it. I think if it’s inspired (like yellow eyeshadow, lipstick, black cat eye etc.), then that would be fine, but if it’s full on professional SFX makeup then probably not. If this wasn’t a rule last year then something must have happened last scarefest, (maybe other guests weren’t able to tell the difference between staff and guests) so to keep everyone safe they decided to ban it.
@@saturnthemirrorball well in the end we went in full makeup including cheeks, eyes and lips and no one said anything negative at all! In fact the staff and lots of other customers commended us on it. So... Dunno what that was all about. We also saw others in full face paint and masks....
Looking pretty good in the build up and excited for the new attractions, hoping for a great few weeks, shame you forgot that Leicestershire plus a few others others have their half term a week earlier when youre shutting slightly earlier. Btw Haddonfield is the home of Halloween, doncha know😉
Nice and clear. Nice to see the rule about leaving the scares/acting to the employed staff of the park. Too many times have I see folk with 'main character syndrome' around the park thinking they're part of it.
The 5pm close of cbeebies is really really bad. It was bad enough it used to close at 7 in previous years. It should be open till 9 like the rest of the park. Families with spilt age ranges can not all enjoy scarefest.
@@charlottevicarage1331yeah move them off CBeebies to work on up charge attractions. They’re not daft, the cut backs at AT are really beginning to show.
Well, when you think about it and how the staff at CBeebies Land also work on the scare mazes, it kinda does make sense that way, esp as in midweek, the park will close earlier.
@itsmeteorain not when I booked a stay over £800 as a treat for my daughter and I spoke with the park before booking to ask if scarefest would also be late night for cbeebies like all previous events and they replied yes Pointless spending that money when I live 1.5hrs away. Also had a message a few days ago from the park when trying to find out if its planned to be cut like October fest to be told cbeebies will be open until dusk a quick look online tells you dusk is currently 6pm
So you wait until 2 days before the first day when I've already spent loads on a theme and costume for the family and now this year you can't do face paint? Is this correct? Cause I can't get a refund on 100s for costumes, can't refund my scare mazes cause we won't want to go if I've just wasted all my cash and effort with your u turn on face paint last minute. Been supporting towers through all the negativity but this has pulled the last straw.
It’s because of people acting like clowns since they can’t be identified it’s not the parks fault it’s people that take advantage of nice things meaning they have to be removed, don’t blame the park blame people that can’t conduct themselves properly leading to parks making choices like this.
@@rollercoastercrazy6497 wasn't an issue all the other years. Also good luck IDing someone in a hoodie causing trouble then taking the hoodie off or putting a coat over it Really isn't applicable as they've been doing this ages and only just announced it.
So Alton towers think it’s acceptable to close Cbebbies land at 5 pm It should be open and with no scares in it so if someone who needs to have a break from the scares can come it is also for the children to enjoy as well. There isn’t really any reason that I could think why it isn’t open with the rest of the park as it is open at Christmas at night so it’s not to do with the lighting
Can’t wait for Friday 🎃 Bring on Compound!

Anything that hides your identity. If your are still recognisably you in the make up that's fine but for security reasons you aren't allowed

YAY
Alton towers is slowly coming back. I can see inspiration from Thorpe..
Which is a bit worrying as Towers used to smash Thorpe, well, out of the park. Its time for Towers to
get back to their best

Cbeebies doesn't go off the TV until 7pm so the park closes at 5pm absolute joke family friendly fun they said

I’ve seen plenty of people wearing full face masks last year, I can recall 6 dudes dressed in full clown costumes?
So Alton towers think it’s acceptable to close Cbebbies land at 5 pm

Dont go on the first day 💀
‘The UKs biggest and thrilling Halloween event’ 🤣 Alton towers needs grammarly and a fact check lol
It's been a very very poor Scarefest this year with no magic at all!
Limbs
Absolutely ridiculous! Spent money on face paint now! Why tell us 2 days before??????
13 seconds 4 views they fell off
Stopping make up is a BIG mistake.. AT is really losing it
Your opening times for this years scarefest are pathetic. This park is being destroyed
Im going on the 26th
Ride access pass for those unable to queue? But have to endure a big queue to obtain one, what a joke!!
