I've done this OOB almost every week, you just need strand really. Also they took you the scenic way, there's another way which is much shorter
its how i get a free chest every week lol.

This was cool. I liked the sped up parts because it was slow enough to show the route but fast enough to get through it. Good job.
"New" is a bit misleading. People have been solo farming the chest weekly with a far more efficient route that can get you to the same spot for over a year.
I'll admit the wellskate at the beggining trims down my run a bit.
At 1:46 run to the top right of the bridge and wellskate to skip almost all the spheres.
At 2:40 turn left immediately when going through the hole and there is another hole in the corner straight ahead to start going OOB. Go through it and take another left in the upper corner of that new area. You can then continue up and do a 180 to see a root you can run along which leads to
4:40 you will be above this area and can wellskate to the top of the building.
At 5:27 there is a way better route to get there that Fallout showed. He shows it in his free raid loot video.

Literally messed around in the same OOB during my team's day 1 run by just messing about, waiting for people and stumbling upon it eventually by going from oob to oob
Me and a buddy happened upon an OOB in the hall of champions just messing around. One of the fans in the hallway has no collision. Same for the secret area. Both fans there have no collision and can just be jumped into.
When doing the wall rocket jumps with heat rises, move away from the wall a little bit. It'll let you shoot more beneath you rather than near your torso, which gives way more upwards momentum.
I'm always astounded by the insanity that is out of bounds stuff. Like, what happens to find these sorts of things? Some sort of 'accident' that gets you through a wall, etc, and you're just like.. HEY, lets keep going! Then you find the random awesome stuff? Froggy.. guy does some crazy stuff all the time with OOBs, but like I said, HOW do you even.. lol! Good stuff though, awesome views!
With the advent of Mountainjumpimg & the recently discovered sword surfing, it appears that almost EVERY single movement tech from old Source, GoldSrc, & Quake engine games can now be replicated in the tiger2 (Destiny 2) game engine.
As an ex-Team Fortress 2 player, Into the Light has given me every tool I am capable of in my arsenal and combining them in new ways exclusive to Destiny 2.
I *HIGHLY* recommend that anyone interested in learning Destiny 2 movement tech also learn the various movement tech in the Source engine or at least in Team Fortress 2. The inputs & methods are slightly different, but the resulting "feel" of the movement is near identical and I believe playing TF2 and there classic arena shooters or modern movement shooters can *absolutely* improve your movement in D2.
Team Fortress 2 is also free-to-play and while most tech can be performed with "stock" weapons, just like D2, certain equipment is required for certain tech. Thankfully TF2 has somewhat of an answer to this by letting you "try before you buy" ANY weapon in the cash shop (these weapons can also ALL be crafted, traded for, or gifted from other players, or obtained through random periodic drops.)
But yeah, IMO movement is the ULTIMATE form of player skill expression in D2 and to that end, I try to practise good movement in EVERY game I play because proper movement, positioning, spacing etc are skills you can carry with you to ANY game of your choosing!
Also good movement is its own reward because it's ALWAYS satisfying to pull off impressive shenanigans.

I love that bungie doesn't punish people for doing stuff like this. They just sorta let people vibe OOB and explore the zones - I'm sure if they really wanted, they could fully stop people from doing this, but instead they just... don't.
I actually vaguely recall a statement from them somewhere, saying that if players find a way to get OOB, that it's Bungie's fault for leaving a hole, therefor the players shouldn't be punished. Or something like that. I just like that they seem to have stuck to that motto that it's on Bungie if the players find holes in the levels like this.
On the exotic mission Seraph Shield, it is possible to climb the rings on the far side of the station using nothing more than a double grapple grenade Hunter. You can make a large horizontal movement tech jump from the ketch ship (even climb on top of it first to have a closer vantage point), or simply strand grapple right outside the hanger to reach a ledge above it. From there, use your strand grapple super or other horizontal movement tech to slope skate across the large black sloped surface (steep enough to not refresh jumps, but enough to refresh grapples) until you reach a platform. From this platform grapple to the arm and climb it up to the inner ring. To reach the outer ring, grapple jump to a large 2D antenna because it has collision. From there, use your grapple super or other slope skating method to pull yourself up the ring far enough to prevent you from sliding back down. Congrats! you've reached the top of the station! The solar pannel array is scalable, but the height ceiling maxes out before the player can reach the top. You can also jump outside of the falling-animation kill barrier which means you'll fall for a solid 25-30 seconds before your respawned at your last-known-position before jumping. As long as you avoid the boss area if it tries to teleport you, or access the bottom of the rings (under the kill barrier, thus preventing climbing) you shouldn't soft lock.
You had me at the idea of OOBing into a new spot for fun, but jammed with Smash Bros. version of Stickerbrush Symphony.

I'm very confused why they took that route, there is a like 3x easier route if you know the solo spoils route which I feel they did because they did the start of it but then branched off onto a harder path, and mountaintop is very very nice for getting around but you definitely don't need it since getting to that spot has been a weekly occurrence for me ever since the raid came out when I get my solo spoils 😂
I mean it's a really cool location but definitely not new, I go there almost every single week because the route to get the Spoils chest solo passes by that location, and also the route they took is much MUCH harder than the spoils route, you don't need any ammo or abilities to go the easy route 😂
I love this part of destiny. I'll never forget the day a random on Nessus made me follow him up a cliff to the Red Roof, which I then brought my friends to. The places to go where the only point is the journey to get there are really something special
This is cool.. Unless you're trying to hit specific load zones there's a much faster way to get to that first vertical jump. Hang a left after the 2nd "butthole" and go OOB up around to the left. I use it weekly for the 2nd secret chest.
the first 2/3rds of this can be done much simpler and can net you free spoils each week, but I've never seen the final stretch to get into planets. very cool
I've been running backwards from nez for red borders from the second secret chest for a while haha
Tip for your eager edge swings, put your sword away after starting the swing you get more distance
You were able to get here when the raid came out just running backwards and using a different OOB where you end up going over the top of the Explicators boss room
most of that journey didn't need mountaintop. I used to take about half the rout to get the secret chest b4 the planets encounter I think. The views were cool though
I can imagine during the first mission of the final shape where we get like a smash bros world of light style intro. Everyone is standing on a mountain or like the destroyed pyramid, overlooking the traveller. And I mean like everyone. As Mara sov is making the connection.
Mr TDT theres an easier way to get here 4:54 if u go through the hole doorways and all that (going back from nez) u can turn to your left, go under some vines and go out the map from there, its quite easy and i use it to get one of the secret chests weekly
All of this was absolutely possible before thanks to strand and navigator. Even the highest points can be easily cleared with navigator flying.
You can go here 4:44 right here 2:40 turn left instead of having to waste a lot of time later

You can go to both places in the video without Warlock and without Mountaintop, I did it without Mountaintop with Stasis Hunter
And at the second location, you can jump down to the right in the corner in the third encounter room
I know how to get to where you guys are at 5:15 without any Eager Edge, Mountaintop, or skating, as any class. Beyond there though, Mountaintop is needed.

this was able to be done even before the mountaintop changes on warlock and hunter if you didnt already know
accidentally stumbled into rocket jumping and it works so well with my tf2 muscle memory it’s so fun
The jumping at to get through the barrier at Explicator is completely unnecessary and actually just makes it significantly harder to get through. Just stand on the ground and swing once with eager into the wall and you'll go right through.
Now the name mountain top makes sense. It helps you climb up to the top of mountains

Im a little confused at the route they took to get inside the planets room. I did that from a nezzy checkpoint practically less than a month after the raid came out and you can just brute force your way in at the part they were using swords to cross the wall

im a bit confused on why they used spike nades over sticky as you can stack i think 6 stickies at once which seems like it would far more effective
There's an easy alternative route that does not require mountaintop at all
There's a way easier way to go about this that skips the sword area and the mountain top against the wall after with heat rises

You guys did that first part of the skip the hard way 💀 you can OOB right after the tunnel with the nodes in it by going left out of the exit and doing some jump shenanigans though cracks in the level

Just to clear this up you actually don’t need the new mountain top for this, there is another route you can take where you just need a few well skates

Hey TDT! Question. Is it common knowledge that when using the Deterministic Chaos lmg, when combined with a Strand subclass it has a built in Demolitionist? I found it out on accident. I tested the other subclasses and none others worked when throwing grenades to reload. It seems like a special synergy with Strand? Did you notice or know about it?

I did this every week for the free chest and the spoils; i used strand hunter and grapple every time.
Most things in this video are easily possible with a grapple, why dont people use it more often for this kind of thing?

theres a way 100x quicker and easier to get past the explicator of planets without needing mountain top
