This is DEFINITELY not the largest Whitetail "ever" in 1982-83 an individual from Texas ( Stephen) traveled to Saskatchewan to buy heads. He got SPECIFIC ORDERS from Canadian Parks & Wildlife on how to legal purchase and transport Whitetail heads out of Canada and into the US. Stephen ( no I'm not including his last name ) hunted down at least 5 heads larger than this one in the video, along with a number of non-typicals also larger than anything ever recorded. Exhausting all of his revenue he returned to the Canadian/US border and presented his heads and all paperwork previously requested from this EXACT border crossing by Canadian government personnel. A different Ranger ( a real piece of dogsh##, hope your reading this ) put the handcuffs on Stephen and began pounding up all the heads with the exception of maybe 3 while laughing at Stephen. Stephen was eventually released. Stephen returned to Texas to raise more capital and returned to Saskatchewan and purchased additional heads which he successfully crossed into the US and sold most to me. At the time 2 of these heads outscored anything in existence. You mentioned Dick, what a joke. Furthermore my Amish friends in Ohio and Pennsylvania have deer that DWARF anything grown outside of Amish pens and the Amish do not jack their deer on copper. Almost forgot , Stephen and his LOVELY wife had a mule deer head that dwarfed anything in Cabellos or Bass Pro, or the current world record or the largest known shet of sheds and refused to sell it to me at any price. Live long and prosper my friends, there's a whole lot of BS in the hunting world, and then there's the truth.
Amen!! 98% (or more) of the deer you see harvested every year online are from high fence game farms or just flat-out photoshopped and never even existed. If you think fisherman tell lies, try deer hunters once. I swear to God almost nobody can read a tape measure anymore because there is no way in Hell 95% of these racks are the scores the people (or morons) say they are online.
I call bullshit. Amish kill everything that moves. Do the same for fish. I grew up in Holmes county Ohio. They would never have a chance to get big near any Amish.

They don't even know for a fact that it wasn't at least 4.5 year old. Aging a deer by teeth has been proven to be inconsistent. Odds are the Milo buck was 4.5 plus. I've seen 4.5 year olds not get much bigger at all and he may have even added abnormal points making him net less.
Around a year or two after the hanson buck was shot, i believe North American white tail ran a "what if" article. And basically the buck would have went non-typical and wouldn't have scored any better...
Some of those antlers don't even seem real. It blows my mind how big some of those deer are on the wall. I can't believe the deer could carry those things around on his head!

Things are lots different in this day and time. It’s almost like picking a pair of shoes. It’s big business now days and lots are filling their pockets off so called hunting just so you can have something hanging on the wall. Here in Michigan we have 30 point bucks. I've never seen one mind you but yoopers always talk about it, hell there's even a song about it. Good luck and shoot straight.
Alot of Beautiful Deer .
Could have, never to be known. I saw, with my dad, the largest typical ever harvested at a Bass Pro Shop years ago, believe was shot in Canada. Not sure but the largest nontypical was found dead along a road in Missouri, over 300pts
That is the milo Hansen buck! It is the world record typical
I seen it also it was huge.
It’s a shame that the actual largest typical ever taken by a hunter isn’t recognized, but the road hunters is.
That’s the Missouri Monarch and he’s the WW non typical. Milo’s record will fall. It’s highly unlikely that the Monarch will though.
I'm curious about what the body size of the deer would have been like.
Must have been a huge amount of meat and fat to support such a massive crown.
How do antlers shrink? It’s basically bone. I’ve never seen bone shrink.
The skull shrinks, therefore the inside spread gets smaller
I am a child and I Love deer hunting
Damnit, I thought that spike I killed was big
Mi 11
What about the 333 inch that was found beside a fence in Missouri?
What part of Nebraska was this deer from?
1. Commander in chief
2. The general
3. Kansas king
Probably most beautiful Buck
Probably still deer like this out there, hiding out on 1000 acres of posted working farm land or behind some daycare growing, never knowing hunting pressure and eventually dying of old age.
Why is he not the world record? Hanson buck is bigger or smaller? Thank you for clarification
The antlers shown here are just shed antlers. The buck was not taken by a hunter
How is this a typical buck witb a split brow tine?
The kansas king is a amazing typical as well
I live in the town about five miles away from where it was found.

For me( old PA boy)..every deer is a trophy…God sure built some beauties…wow..
It is a great story but idk how sheds can hold a record the title is a bit misleading I thought I was a bit dumb and missed that someone killed a bigger deer than the Hanson buck
Bullshit story
I think you’re kind of full of IT.
Source: Trust me bro
If they are sheds, how does anyone know the true spread without the skull plate? Plus, no one ever harvested the "live" deer?
whats even more impressive is that they found his head too 🤔
Totally incredible!
Only trouble is was pen raised in Tennessee band brought up and released the yr they spread word around oh a real buck but not free ranging! I know I talked to onenof the culprits the the yr before
Id say the spread and angle of antlers are incorrect on that mount
That mount was most likely done by one of, if not thee top whitetail taxidermist in the Country. Pretty sure no one cares what "you'd say". My guess is its as accruate as one could possiblly get. To question it is simply idiotic.
Key phrase for Nebraska, few outfitters! Outfitters totally ruin an area!!
Can't beat the Hanson Buck hunted and taken in 1993 in Sk .
I would literally pass out if I seen a buck like him walk in

And; they grow back every year!!
Why are your estimates on score different than north american whitetails?
Look at the one that they have in Maine in a store.the point over 12
Best gobbie the farmer ever got.
I have a typical set of sheds that will score 221, what if I put them on a mount, can I claim this crown?
Yes but I highly sought you have that
Hey my father does antler reproductions if you truly have a set like that we would be interested in it. Let me know and I'll shoot you and email address to possible sends pictures of the antlers
I just want to see the sheds whether you claim the title or not! 😂
vision board goals
Amazing
there won't be deer like that anymore. they all get there ass shot when there 6 pointers because the new I'm a deer hunter craze
Imagine finding that things shed
Everything “hails” in comparison. What exactly do you believe that guy thinks that sentence actually means?
How come this isn't the world record.
Shame it’s the first time hearing about it. What a giant typical! Every hunters dream.
I've never been one to what-if a set of antlers, but what would Milo's buck have looked like at 5, 6, or 7years old?
They don't even know for a fact that it wasn't at least 4.5 year old. Aging a deer by teeth has been proven to be inconsistent. Odds are the Milo buck was 4.5 plus. I've seen 4.5 year olds not get much bigger at all and he may have even added abnormal points making him net less.
Around a year or two after the hanson buck was shot, i believe North American white tail ran a "what if" article. And basically the buck would have went non-typical and wouldn't have scored any better...
I wanna hear the story of the knife handle buck.
Some of those antlers don't even seem real. It blows my mind how big some of those deer are on the wall. I can't believe the deer could carry those things around on his head!
Amazing what can happen when bucks are allowed to mature. Unfortunately most never see their third birthday.
Bucks in canada are big too...
I saw two bigger last week
I know we’re 1 is that’s bigger way more massive and a 10 to 14 in drop on each side. Interested??
How is the spread known? They are sheds. It’s not known where they sat on the skull.
That buck is not from Nebraska, maybe picked up there but definitely the buck my grandpa shot that was stolen in the early 50's, along with the 10 pointer with a 27.5" inside spread the year after. Both shot in Forest Co, WI, stolen in Brown Co, WI.
Oh really
Hahahahaha good story.
I live where it was found.
They're clearly sheds you fool
Whats been around keeps us Beaming.
Should of called him master chief😂
What's it like hunting on a deer farm like going to a butcher shop I guess
Things are lots different in this day and time. It’s almost like picking a pair of shoes. It’s big business now days and lots are filling their pockets off so called hunting just so you can have something hanging on the wall. May as well send out a magazine and just order your deer and have ups deliver packaged meat and a mount for the wall.
Not to mention the buck shed those antlers
I know big bucks when I see them ,killing 15 Mule deer from 180 - 202 “ but back in 1980 visiting my relatives friends in preecville sask ,old timer had some white tails hanging that were amazing ,just short distance from the Milo Hansen buck ,they just never mounted or ever scored them .👍I know they would of made B&C ,I’ve always wanted to revisit this old barn .
Looks like the huff buck.
Phenomenal !!!
Nope.
Mitch Rompola
Awesome!!!
what a giant.... who knows what gigantic deer existed 100 years before he did
