    It is absolutely amazing how just Stanley Clarke and Stewart Copeland can play and you don't miss ANY other instruments!
    Add the power of Deborah Hollands incredible voice and great song writing and you have one of the best bands ever (and who, like the Dixie Dregs deserved to be household names!)

    Wow. Never thought I'd say this but have a seat, Mr. Claypool, and enjoy the show.

    A real musician wouldn't bring race into the picture but rather appreciate the music for what it is. Peace and love.

    For those who don't know, or remember-Clarke and Copeland have/had performed and recorded many,many times together...Even the most seasoned and rehearsed musicians have great performances and not so great performances. It's all about the feel at the moment. And, many factors play into what that outcome becomes, because of it.

    What I had hoped Animal Logic would be: a kick ass power trio highlighting the chemistry between Stewart and Stanley Clarke, with perhaps a guitarist or saxophone player as the third piece. Ah, well. Methinks Stewart's aversion to jazz scuppered that idea. Great vid, thanks for posting!

    Check out 'Stanley Clarke - Stories To Tell', it has Stan, Stuart and Allan Holdsworth. Simply amazing track. It was on SC's album from the mid/late 80's

    Wow Stewart's drumset since the police.. Use to be four octobans and now it's two.. I really like his old setup rather than the newer one like on the police union. Stewart Copeland FTW!!!!!!

    I have been wrong many times before and I was probably wrong with this. So, kindly excuse me for my clouded viewpoint that had occurred over many hard years in the face preconceptions, misconceptions, prejudgments, and presumptions, that I battle with love and patience every minute of the day. Instead of making a cheap, slight of jerked shot insight, share what you really think was going on in this particular creation of music.

    This is the kinda music I'd love to hear Stewart playing more often. Not that Orchestralli stuff. That I don't like!!!

  • @MrAkilwil
    @MrAkilwil 12 років тому

    Hey 75Drummerboy, I know all is entitled to their opinion, but this clip angered me how Stanley Clarke (World Class Bassist) had to appease to Copeland, one of my favorite drummers, to get into the groove by playing 'white' grooves. Music shouldn't have no stereotypical/physiological label on it. But you see, Stewart disappointing the audience. Even with Sheila E., she had to recover the show because of his hang up with playing with non-Whites who are better, man, hope this is not the case.
