- While we were at Alpine Volks Fair in Helen GA, we ran across Joel and his 5.2 Swapped Audi Wagon! He calls it the "URS6 V10 Lamborghini Engine'd (But not really) Swapped Family-Mobile."
We wanted to hear why, and how he did this! We also wanted to hear that beautiful engine note!

I’m still a huge fan of the aan though no matter what. That 5 cylinder he pulled sounds nearly identical or better with big cams and revving to 9k. I mean nearly that engine made 1000hp in competition. Had a 92 s4 for years that was my love and joy and I’m still mad about selling it since they are so hard to find.

This is an instant classic. The build is superb, the owner's attitude gives an impression that I too can do this (if I want to spend lots of money and lots of time). The results appear to be worthy. A++++

The UGR guys make 3k hp with these engines, not very stock tho
Stock engine with turbo setup can make 1700hp

It would wheel hop with stiffer suspension. It's lose for a reason

He said he has 500 lb springs in the front and 700 in the back, thats really super beefy for a car already what would you do?

@@MegaCasey09 increase spring rate by 28.5%… how the f*ck would I know what to do? I’m not a mechanic or engineer but I can see the car leaning back wayyyyyyy too muuuuuuch maaaaan lol
6:00 .... happened to me once, in my Mk4 Golf, I tore everything apart, used a bit of sandpaper on the contacts and bended them a bit so they would engage with more force and it works like new.
Just take care to turn off all your devices (AC, Headlights, wipers, heaters, etc.) before turning off your engine and before starting up your engine.
These old heaps of junk, like yours and mine, don't have relays and large currents travel straight through your ignition contact and that's why you end up with this problem.
you absolute legend. my 337 ALWAYS does this. you are legitimately the first person that knew the issue AND knew how to solve it. the “vw and audi only” shop thought i was blowing smoke hahah

Mind you that the C4 S6 also came out with an V8, but fitting an V10 is just crazy and ubercool
only in Europe though, for one year, and less than 1000 were made
@@daedalus_20v aha and the S6+ had even lower numbers i see. They should be an collectors car by now. If there's any left of them
North america never got the s6 plus. Some were brought to south america by ayrton senna.
You'd be lucky to find a S6+ these days, and if you do. It will cost you loads of cash :)

Guy definitely has that underdog UA-cam personality. Man that V10 is sweet! It almost sounds like a cross between an early Gallardo and the BMW V10. Even more interesting, it sounds like an Audi V8 under 2k rpm. This thing wears a lot of hats!!

I miss my C4's. Except for the faulty ignition switch those things were solid. This guy is dedicated! I wish I had the time and patience to do things like this.

I have a s6 and a spare v10 I want to do a turbo build with. Came to the conclusion any management system that supports 10 DI drivers is way too expensive, so I think I'm going to supplement port injection in the manifold with a more conventional piggyback. Would probably help with the carbon build up too
HelenGA is a must visit! I love it there.. This is a beast of a build, I couldnt imagine the stress involved, but I am sure that the outcome made it all worth it.

Fenders: Just get normal A6 fenders (or even 100) and weld in the bottoms. A body shop could easily flare the bottom part if you don't do it yourself. (And there are GRP fenders available for both the S4 and S6, btw..)

Sweet project! I am very happy with my 40v 4.2 swapped b5.5 passat. 6 speed quattro, it also spins all 4 in 1st and launches so hard there are parts of my dash missing now. I used a fidanza aluminum flywheel and a clutch rated for 500hp. ECU and engine are from a 2001 A8 and it has a S8 manual trans tune. The 2 piece driveshaft has been a constant headache however. Vibration at highway speeds under certain load conditions, I hate it! Making a 1 piece shaft today hopefully to solve it once and for all!

@@pri0r_t0_a_weekago...fukwi48 Catastrophic failure. Lucky it didn't take out my trans and exhaust. Back to the stock 2 piece and spacer. The problem was actually the spacer not being machined properly.

Glad to see a B5 S4 01E in this setup. They can have shift collar issues sometimes but taken care of they are great transmissions. Some people think 1st is a little too low but I disagree. Wattaride!
1st and 2nd mightaswell not even be there on the 01e but its not as bad as the 5 speed 01a from the a4s that has you doing 5500 at 55 on the highway.

Luv the idea and commitment to get it to work, but Oh MY the understeer must be Gargantuan. I remember going to SOWO for a couple of years before the end with my GLI. Helen is such a cool little town with great views and roads around too.
