Nice man..Looked this up for nostalgia reasons, I had a '09 GXP coupe.. zzp downpipe, Magnaflow exhaust, upgraded intake, Trifecta tune and I believe factory Eagle RSA summer tires.. about 360-370whp.. loved that car, for what it was, back in the day it wasn't too shabby, beat up on alot of unsuspecting cars now n again, a definite sleeper 😎😴 I miss all my Pontiacs, had also owned ¹'00 WS6 6spd and G8 GT.. worked at a Pontiac dealer for a number of years, ahh so many great times back then on the back roads with the boys
I've had a grand am, a Grand Prix, a g5, a G8 and today I bought the G6 gxp. By far the fastest out of them all. 100% would give the GTO a run for its money.
I had an 08 G6 GT sedan for several years. Always wanted a gxp coupe with NO WING lol. Eventually it got totalled out...and I grabbed an 09 G8 GT. I would still love to get one someday as my daily or even make a tuner out of it.
Miss my 10 GT it wasn’t the fastest thing in the world but I literally won a lot of races against 2.0t’s until I’d hit 105mph. My mom had a 08 torrent gxp with this engine/trans with 269hp it was quick af for the time.
I noticed you have the traction control almost off, If you really want to burn rubber, and kinda spin the tires in 2nd, and chirp em' in 3rd, HOLD down the traction control button for about 3 seconds, you'll a second light on the dash...Have fun
I was sadly switching from my old 2004 pontiac grand am. I was getting my self ready for a slower car. But I found a nice 2006 pontiac g6 for $5600 only 67000 miles. I'm upgrading I'm speed apparently. My old car tops out at 110 the speedometer says 120 but it won't go that high. The g6 goes up to 145 if I'm not mistaken. Wish me luck that I get the car. God bless.
robert brown I have the 09 g6 gt it’s pretty much the same as this one besides I have a 6.5 v6 but they are a nice car reliable pretty fast gets good gas and they handle amazing around sharp turns I wish my gov didn’t kick in so soon tho lol
i have this same exact car and I love it! the 3.6 has a really consistent acceleration. I raced a Mitsubishi 3000 gt vr4 and we were side by side from 40 to 115. this bone stock car is no slouch that's for damn sure
2009 pontiac g6 gxp came stick with the ly7 3.6l vvt v6. Yes the gtp had a 3.9 but it is about 30 or so less horsepower than the 3.6 vvt. Sorry to say my Gxp is gone forever. I was hit head on in february in a snow storm a lady crossed over the center line and slammed me head on in a jeep liberty. I can proudly say that the car did save my life. The seat belt in combo with the front end side curtain airbags left me with only bumps and bruises but the car was completely totaled in the front. Very SAFE car. I now drive a 2010 honda crv
also Pontiac dealers are closed u can still buy a Pontiac but they are kinda rare u can buy them from e bay or kiji or other small auto shops but Pontiacs are really rare to find

@@zacharybishop6595 the 3.6 is ass. Gm fucked up big letting go the 3.8. the 3.8 would literally eat the 3.6 and the 3.9 especially the supercharged model. It's the slush box 4 speed that let down true potential
@@jarrodmcmillian1747 What you are probably thinking of is the GTP. They had the 3.9 V6 and could of been ordered with the manual for 2006 and 2007. Then it was replaced by the GXP which only came with the 6 speed auto.
Your Lexus would not stand a chance... I just ran one last week....He thought the same as you, and when we stopped I just said thank you took his $300 a drove off.
Lol, my bone stock 20’ Mk7 GLI is just as quick as a 20’ GS350. Both cars are about five and a half seconds 0-60, which is only marginally faster than this G6 which just goes to show how good the Pontiac was even back in 2008
