5 years later and I still get goosebumps hearing this performance! 👏👏👏
So incredibly sorry to hear about your grandfather. I'm the same, I play music because my Dad (who we lost last year) played music. He'll live on through you guys and your music :)
It's been a while since I visited your channel, TinWhistler, but you're doing great work as always.
May your grandfather Rest In Peace. And thank you for following in his shoes. Your playing the tunes is inspirational. Always a pleasure to hear you!!
My sympathies for the loss of your grandfather! May he Wait in Peace for his loved ones in Heaven. The music was beautifully played. What a blessing, having a grandfather who passed his love of music down to his grandsons - you do him honor as you are both marvelous musicians.
Whatching in 2020. I'm a fan of your music guys. Hope see you someday playing here in Brazil. Amazing songs!!!
Very nice!
Irish music with a jazz rhythm?!? Really nice sound!!
Dang!! You are tearing it UP on the guitar. It sounds absolutely incredible man. Incredible. Whistler, dude that's ridiculously good. You guys are really awesome. Keep up the good work!

Just brilliant.
I list to this at least once a day, one of my favourites. Thanks guys - you inspired me to pick up a whistle and have a go (something my neighbours haven't thanked me for, yet!)
That's really wonderful.
I love it. ❤️
i love you guys!
We're really enjoying your CD. Keep on!
Yay! Tinwhistler is back!
This is unbelievable good!
Its my first time hearing you guys tonight and i love you guys, thanks for making me smile :) (and bop my head) :D (My dad played tin whistle in an irish trad band circa 1975 to 1999 (before he passed in 2001) and so i grew up surrounded by irish trad music. Your videos and music just reminds me of those days. thanks so much)
That's awesome. I wish I had had that (nothing in my family is related to Ireland). May I know the name of his band?
@@TinWhistler Yea sure. They were called Shamrog (but changed their name to cruiskeen at one stage). Heres a video of them from the 90s. My dad is on the far right playing the whistle (and the bones) :) ua-cam.com/video/0-z99Ee89us/v-deo.html
Grande.. Come sempre!!!
great music by both of you.
Fantastic!
absolutely amazing...quina passada!!

Nice to see and hear you two again. Still waiting for a cd. Seriously.
Thanks for sharing your music video. :-)
I am stunned by his strumming
Magnifique !
Awesome! Missed you guys D:
Muy bueno maestro , todos tus videos son geniales aprendi mucho de ellos, !
Phenomenal.
GREAT STUFF!!
Incríveis!
Great music guys keep it!
You guys always do such a fine job of playing off each other. It's as if you're brothers :)
The guitar sounds great!
Great!
Man, you rock!
Guys, I've been following you guys for years and can't stop being amazed at your awesome skills. You inspired me to play the whistle and am still learning, I could use some tips on nailing those ornaments. Any feedback would be much appreciated thanks. Cheers guys
Your brother always makes such a nice chords progression. Simple but way better than thousands of these boring DADGAD players who suppress the strings and sound terrible. I am waiting for more videos with your low D and F whistles!
Is this Ryan Garth, by any chance? ;)
Lindo! Sehr schön! Wonderfull! Bellísimo! Troppo belo :)
the best
Get your shoes off that bed!
Yes! You're setting a bad example for children who may be watching.
you can come sit on my bed anytime with your shoes on if you play that well!
Shit, that was my first thought, too, I guess, we're getting old ...
I was about to comment the same thing. We don't even wear shoes in the house, let alone on the bed.
Eww if you ever look underneath a used shoe, you will find loooads of stuff you don't want in your house, let alone the bed you lay in 🤮
I forgot I was subbed to you. Welcome back.
Good Whistler!
What type of strings is he using? They sound delicious.
Awesome. Alwais awesome. Make a CD! >.
bagus sekali... matur suskma
Yay! :D
omg 2:32 what he did there sounds so awesome
It's called flutter-tonguing, I think.
AMAZING ACCOMPANIMENT INDEED
I LOVE U
Que marcas recomiendas de whistle?
Where I can find the sheet music for that song for tin whistle? Greetings from Spain!!!
Keep on playing just as well :3
Thanks Guys - awesome as always - what kind of mic are you using here?
it's a Zoom H1
That's hilarious - I have a H4 Next Zoom
The brand of guitar please???? Congratulations good work!
Art and Lutherie Folk
良すぎる!CDとかないのかなー?
Amazing performance. What key of tin whistle is that?
D. Thanks!
@@TinWhistler Is it a Tony Dixon Trad D?
@@tim6151 Yes.
Lovely playing :-) The guitar's a bit overpowering maybe but I guess that's just to do with the poor acoustics of the room. Look forward to hearing more from you
I agree. Great playing but lighten up a bit on the guitar .
If you guys made a CD the trad scene wouldn't know what hit it.
What was that affect you did at 2:30? Is there a name for it?
The tonguing thing? Not sure right now if I just did the usual "ta-ka-ta" there or rolled my tongue, but anyway that's how to do it. Tongue movements inside your mouth (not touching the whistle). No idea about names.
@@TinWhistler Gotchya, that interesting and thanks. I've never heard of the "ta-ka-ta" that you just mentioned. Is that your technique for the super fast "double tongues"? I've always been curious how you were able to tongue so quickly.
@@teaguehall17 exactly. That's the trick to do it. Just like saying ta-ka-ta.
how much does a tin whistle cost
Paulo u can pay like €3-€4 for a cheap one in a shop
A fig for a kiss? Seems like a very questionable exchange.
Why shoes on the bed?
I think it would be weird otherwise
O
It's all about the guitar. The melody is too subdued. It should really be about the melody.
I agree . It's about the tune . The guitar should complement the tune not attempt to lead it .
Otherwise great playing .
HEY! HEY! SHOES OFF THE BED! I'm sorry... dad moment. I don't know what came over me.
the session dot org
Nah... Too fast.
I follow your channel since years and I really love what your doing but, oh, I'm sooo sorry to say that:
The guitar is much to "brutal"! In the loud parts it don't sound actual good. It hurts my ears and it doesn't leave a chance for the whistle.
(I'm a guitarist since more than four decades in several fields - classic, electric, acoustic, rock, blues, swing, folk. So I know what I'm talking about and think I can allow me this critic.
You are sooo good and it's really a pitty smashing the good vibes with a bad sound.
But I'm your fan though.
Cheers from Berlin!
Great!
