      Unless they have turned off their bodycams it should record at least one end of the conversation. I know here in the USA many auditors put in a FOIA request for all radio traffic if they have a bad interaction with the police. The first thing most of them say is we got a call then they want to know what you are doing and why and your ID. All from an anonymous phone call. Many times when the FOIA the phone call info it doesn't exist.

    I love how the police always say "we're just having a normal conversation", then go on to start talking about terrorism. There's no such thing as a normal conversation with somebody that has a power to physically detain you.

    • @crocroo7811
      @crocroo7811 2 роки тому +1

      They do not have that power, unless you have committed an offence. Hence this channel.

    • @ReadyPlayerDog
      @ReadyPlayerDog 2 роки тому +2

      @@crocroo7811 no they don't, not really. But the threshold for a detention is quite low. And let's say whoever is being unlawfully detained decides to just walk away? The police escalate, the person gets arrest and charged with resisting arrest, and probably disorderly conduct, and anything else the police want to make up. Realistically, it's the victim who has to fight the charges. Hopefully he recorded it, hopefully the police recorded it, and hopefully they didn't "accidentally" delete anything. So the victim has to reley on a bit of luck, meanwhile what's going to happen to the officer? A warning? If anything at all?
      Point is, what the police can and can not do is different from what the do and do not do.

    A building does not have feelings it can not be sensitive, but a ego tripping tyrant can be sensitive and seems to be a lot of them around in checkerboard uniforms.

    The message is..........slowly..........getting out there........as much as they would prefer NOT to hear the message! They get a proper buzz from cuffing and frisking people, they are gutted when that wee bonus is taken away from them! 😂😂

    “Filming can be considered an offence”. Really?
    ... you see Mr Plod, your Chief Constable has directed all bloggers to be left alone by constables, even if outside a Police Station. Various Acts protect photography of other things (e.g. witnesses entering Court - so those that say “I can film anything I like in public” are technically wrong, there are several major exceptions). But not here, it’s legal. There are no grounds for a search.
    So next time take a copy of that memo Mr K. Ask them if they ever read their Managers’ direct, written instructions - or if they’re deliberately ignoring them because they’re arrogant and out of control. Couldn’t possibly be that ... could it ... ?

    7:54 PC Rosendale says "and ID'ing clarifies who you are". Only in the eyes of the PC who want to know everything about the public including their inside leg measurements. Next time a PC asks you to ID, ask if they want your name, your DoB, your ethnicity, and your inside leg measurement. Let them know their request is a joke and treat them as a joke. They won't like that.
