What I don’t get is that they talk about Italy’s situation in such apocalyptic terms (with reason) but the UK has now caught up with them and is on course to be even worse! And do they talk about it in the same way? No! Walk outside on the weekend and the streets and parks are full of people and no one wears a face mask!
Exactly what I think and how I feel. People leave emotional comments but where are the emotions in your real life?
Actually here in Italy we're doing ok. The media think the situation in Italy is still the same as it was a month ago, I don't know why they don't tell how things really are.
@@fagiolification11 Well this is Sky News! Political point scoring / Shock effect / capturing people's attention in a crowded news & media market to gain or keep advertisers / click bait journalism..... All of these are reasons for over sensationalism of this pandemic (as tragic as the deaths are). Historically there was never anything on this scale of media sensationalism for past events FAR worse, with death counts that put the loss of life from this pandemic into context: two world wars / Spanish Flu / Deaths from suicide during great depression etc... They reported facts, not sensationalism. During the second world war people all over Europe were bombed often daily, with many thousands dying daily yet people just got on with things the next day. But modern society is cushioned from hardship and young people in particular are very weak willed and unused to hardships of any kind in an age of instant gratification and iPhones, and the modern media know this and are only too happy to exploit and play upon people's weakness and anxiety to get people watching.
Mainstream Media bullshit wake up people. Welcome to the real world of lies and fear if we keep allowing it they win!

Englishman in France here. Today I was invited to a party on the 11th May to celebrate the end of lockdown? Honestly... these are the people that scare me... the people that think this is already over. As I have said before, there is no point in feeling reassured by being the best driver on the road obeying the speed-limit etc when EVERYONE else on the road is drunk!!! Stay safe folks... Bless all the key-workers.
It's a form of serious mental illness, head in the sand mentality . Several of my family are on the front lines as Nurses and Doctors in Ireland so its close to home with me, and the stories I hear are scary. 2 of my cousins are Consultants and they volunteered for ICU training. My Sister a A&E nurse of 35 years , had a new desks job, volunteered to return and got Covid 19 but thankfully made a full recovery and wants to return again to help. No announcement, no attention. my parents don't even know.
But people think this is a scam, a conspiracy but they are so naive it's scary. They can't deal with the reality that something is out of control so they have to find reasons and logic it out. But the reality is Control is an illusion , that's the only scam.
Too true, but how many will be brave enough to attend?!
Could Sally get any closer to that Italian man whilst both of them were speaking their germs all over the other. Don't Sky educate their staff on the main way the virus spreads?
Hansie's Ma it’s not airborne
Edward Jackson yeah it is.
Jude Wang there is a difference between airborne and via fluids, airborne is through normal breathing which would’ve made the transmission much higher but fluids is through coughing and sneezing. Fluids means liquids and gases.

Why is she in a cab without a mask? 😷😳
This documentary was devastating to watch.
The UK government only told people to wear face coverings/masks in confined places a few days ago, after over 30,000 deaths. The UK response has been shockingly slow considering it saw what was happening in Italy. UK government should of advised public to wear masks from the start instead of suggesting they were useless.
Jake R The way some governments have single-handedly failed people is beyond criminal.
@@The_daughter_of_Lilith Nooo; 😓 Though, I agree with the dissatisfaction of how a lot of these situations were handled, none of what they did were beyond criminal; Over-sensationalizing their failure stops us from truly focusing on what the problems genuinely were;

Because mask doesn't save anyone. They said it in the beginning that particles are too small, they can go through masks. Idk why everyone is taking it as the end of the world, if they see someone without a mask. Smh

Italian here, talking about the virus spreading, we finally were able to flat the curve: a region in central italy has hit the wonderful "no new cases" record, there are southern regions with only few tens of new cases at day, but in northern regions cases are way less than before but still hit the hundred at day.
Overall the medical situation is fine, economy on the other hand is at his last straw, EU has let us down and is only now talking about a "recovery funds" whose details are still to be decided so we have to reopen businesses and try our best to not get sick even if it would have be wiser to wait some other weeks. Psychologically speaking: there will be huge effects on our minds that we will only start to show in the next months, we suddenly had to totally stop our lives and be alone in our homes for 2months (no work, no friends, no family, no walks, no sea or mountain trips) we are very social connected people and this isolation was really hard (and i say that as an introvert, so guess what an extrovert italian is feeling) but i'm proud for the discipline and unity my people shown.
