I'm so glad that Thomas & Friends has a fandom like this where we don't even need Mattel or any other company to give us great Thomas stories. As sad as it is that the official show didn't get renewed for a 25th season, I can hardly even feel sad when fans make stories just as good as official ones.
I really love the second story of this double Christmas special because it really brings not only the original Brendam crew together, but also Bill and Ben's determination to not only reunite themselves for Christmas, but for the people and engines too (as well as families). That part where Gordon showed appreciation for the twins one time near the end is just wholesome.
It’s a very small detail, but I like how you can see how pissed Thomas is when he’s at the station. Even though he lacks any dialogue, we can still see his hatred for snow and his snowplow. It really shows how much effort really goes into these videos, and I applaud it.
Brilliant Christmas special! That locomotive limbo sequence was out of this world, literally, and innovative as any other RWS-style ghost story, not to mention oh so reminiscent of a certain piece of magical literature we all know worldwide, but which I'll leave unnamed.. And I'm so sorry about your grandparents. Boxing day must be a tough day for you to bear. Know that my heart goes out to you this day, and always keep up the good work! Happy New Year!
@@eliotreader8220 i would have thought it was Engine 17 if it didn't have a tender. I wonder though. Was that limbo engine essentially the grim reaper of trains of the engine involved in the accident that killed all those people?
I know this is meant to be a dark and sombre story, but it reminds me a bit of the southern American hymn that goes, "this train is bound for glory, don't carry no one but the righteous and the holy". I don’t suppose you're familiar with it?
A fascinating idea for a story, and a unique one. I don't think we've ever seen Bill and Ben in the snow, and to see them once again proving that little engines can do big things. As for A Christmas Spirit, the spirits of your grandparents are forever in this story now, and it's a very interesting concept of a ghost engine guiding railside spirits to the next life.
Great video! As many people have said before, you have the perfect voice for narrating. 17:24 - I know James and Molly are only there for plot convenience but still, you know how some people will interpret it. 19:35 - Edward's had one of his brainwaves! 23:45 - The Brendam Branch Crew all together once again!
That Limbo bit was weird but it was all still very entertaining, a good pair of seasonal episodes - I liked the mix of spooky and wholesome (the spooky side of the holiday season shouldn't be forgotten.)
I'm really sorry to hear about your grandparents' death being a decade apart in December. Your narrations are quite calming and the story lines are impressive. Happy holidays and here's to 2022!
A brilliant tribute to your late grandparents, mate. You sure love your ghost stories, don't you? Though then again, you only did two.😊 1:573:32 You know it's a dcg12b story with subtle sassy dialogue like those.😆
Such lovely stories... and top notch narration as always, I look forward to your work the most out of anyone else. Your stories are wonderful, they hit perfectly when there's emotion behind them. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you!!
what a lovely surprise, a very merry christmas to all you Brits! This has certainly been an interesting year, and so was this! You always seem to top each story with your next, the limbo scene was absolutely phenomenal and something I’d have expected to see more of. I hope you have a wonderful time with your loved ones and may your grandparents Rest In Peace 💗
I love how bill and Ben respect Boco and Edward. They will cause trouble but as soon as it’s for one of them I love how they always go help their mentors
This is simply amazing. I never thought I would ever get to see a double feature from you. I enjoyed every moment of it from both stories that you developed and delivered in the best way possible. A job well done and a Merry Christmas to you! 🎄
YAY!!! This was absolutely wonderful! And definitely the best christmas present we could have asked for!! "Snowdrift apart" was for sure my favorite of the two, you're stories never fail to warm my heart (especially during the cold season lol). Hope you have a merry christmas, Dcg12b! And stay safe!!! LOVE YOUUU!!!!!
I Love The First Episode To BITS You are the best narrator and you have captured the reverends writing to such a degree that I can't even put it into words. You make the best content I have ever seen and more people need to know about you
Once again, you don't disappoint! Watching both stories were great, the First one in a metaphysical sort of way, while the second one evoked my nostalgia for a return to the annual stories of the 80s, the kind set in RWS canon but with TVS illustrations! Well done, merry Christmas and a happy new year! :)
Amazing work on both these stories; nice to see more Arthur content and this angle of Bill and Ben's friendship. So sorry to hear about your grandparents. I didn't know for the longest time but my dad's brother died on Christmas before I was born; looking back I understand why he was never very enthusiastic about Christmas.
From one to another, I understand how you feel. My grandpa is gone to, I was very sad at first, but then I promised to myself, i'd only remember the good times we had, I know my papa wouldn't like to see me sad. He always made sure I was happy and safe. I miss him dearly, but ill always have my fond memories of him.
What lovely stories! I especially liked the second one; nice to see the twins in a kinder light than usual. Looking forward to your next work! Merry Christmas ^_^
Wonderful stories my friend well edited as always. I am sorry to hear about the tough times you've been through its been tough for me this month too, My nan passed away earlier in the month and the day before her funeral my mother tested positive for covid meaning we couldnt go to say our goodbyes. It was really not a jolly Christmas for me and tbh not once have I felt christmassy but your videos have put a bit of Christmas back in for me. Once again my friend I am sorry to hear about how tough it has been for you just remember you have your friends, fans, followers and family we must enjoy every moment with them as tomorrow we will never know what will happen.
Well I was not expecting that sodor now has its own ferry engine for the dead. Just adds to the mystery that is sodor Truly great work as always loved this one had a spook and heart felt message episode duo
Well, Sodor is a mysterious place. There's tales about ghostly passengers and workmen wandering the stations and Railway lines. And the stories, from Ghost trains trying to cross a bridge, a quarry engine who appears to his victims whenever his story is told, to a spectral engine pulling a single coach, forced to wander the rails without rest. And lest we forget about the deformed engine who cleaves an entire engine clean in half for even daring to insult her appearance.
I love your work. I had an idea for an episode. The ghost of the Scrapyard: After hearing a story from Thomas, sir Topham Hatt ask Oliver to pick a special train from the scrapyard and being spoked by a mysterious engine from the shadows Chase him out. Asking sir Topham Hatt the history of the scrapyard. This could explain why the scrapyard exists, why the engines have the issues they have and maybe secretly introduce diesel 10 in the shadows. The episode can be right after the escape episode. Or Boco gets tired: After meeting bill and ben, boco was learning the ropes around the island and getting to know the engines, until he runs into diesel and had to stand up against diesel trickery and bully the other engines.
These stories were great! You’re a really good narrator. You have a very calm voice, but can be energetic and emotional when the scene calls for it, as a good narrator should be like.
You are brilliant at ghost stories, dcg. I may have an idea for another Thomas ghost story. I don’t know if you have heard of the engine known as “Fowler’s Ghost”, but I was wondering if you could write about it.
I was wondering if you plan on continuing the model video's on your other channel. I truly enjoy your "Jimmy the Jinty" videos and I would genuinely love to see more of them and also find out if you plan ending it with a tie in story with "Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends" just like how you started it.
Well this was an interesting 2 parter video the first was very interesting not quite horror more spiritual passing from the living world to the afterlife while the 2nd was great close stroy in Edward's branchline it seem filled with great chirstmas story when it comes to fan content.
4:48 EVERYONE uses this whistle. There are other whistles in the world. It's so annoying, even in stuff not thomas the train that shows up in my recommendations that I decide to watch use it. It's everywhere omfg
That engine that is in the limbo with Arthur that takes passed away people that are very close to the line to the other side through limbo is 1020 1020's died he died in a lake she derailed and crashed into a lake his injuries were so bad that he couldn't be saved but then he woke up in limbo and then it was his duty to take passed away people to the other side is passengers
“Merry Christmas you little demons” love that line 😂
"Cheers Gordon. Merry Christmas you fat face"
I'm so glad that Thomas & Friends has a fandom like this where we don't even need Mattel or any other company to give us great Thomas stories. its a bit like the Jimmy the Jinty ghost story of engine 17
@@eliotreader8220 i would have thought it was Engine 17 if it didn't have a tender. I wonder though. Was that limbo engine essentially the grim reaper of trains of the engine involved in the accident that killed all those people?
I feel like it is kinda sorta a reference to Pogo the ghost engine from the series The Dark Railway Series which you should check out it’s really good
I know this is meant to be a dark and sombre story, but it reminds me a bit of the southern American hymn that goes, "this train is bound for glory, don't carry no one but the righteous and the holy". I don’t suppose you're familiar with it?
In my opinion dcg12b sometimes sounds almost exactly like Ringo Starr (Which is a good thing! 😄)
A wonderful holiday double feature; somber in one story, jolly the next!
Very nice and calming. I do like that Bill and Ben is being happy and useful instead of playing jokes and treats. A nice refresher
Your Supernatural Stories will always be my favourite, I very much enjoyed both these stories very much:)
Mine as well.

This was just what I needed after work. I especially loved the first story.
So did I, that Limbo engine is basically the Grim Reaper of Sodor, minus the grim part.
My what a fine video. Always impressed with your productions. Very entertaining. I know it’s slightly late but Merry Christmas.

"Do not pity the dead, Arthur. Pity the living - and above all, those who live without love."
Absolutely lovely! Great job!
It's a good thing Arthur wasn't marooned at sea
Beautiful work. You always make fantastic stories.
I love this story and Christmas Special.

Can’t complain
That limbo scene reminds me of Mackenzie conquering his fears in the episode “Space”.

1020… I can’t look at that engine the same again without seeing that face…
Awesome work, mate!
Arthur has a near death experience and other stories

Merry Christmas dcg12b! 😊🎄🎁🎅🌨⛄
I'm sorry to find out about the passings of your grandparents.... 😞

The limbo part reminds me of the second part of the seventh Harry Potter book adaption.

why the big halloween vibe with arthur and the “ghost” engine?
hey dcg12b, what whistle did you use for engine 17 when he was about to run into the terminus?
Nice! 😃😃
awesome job
I think that this is Wilfred.
Excuse me, how did you film the Trainz video shots? What camera did you use?
10:05 when the voice said what do you think this place is I was thinking heaven not limbo
Could we get some Jimmy the Jinty using Trainz?
No, that will remain in model form
Why not do it using trainz?
@@JRG115M Because for me, it looses its charm
What do you use to make these videos? As far as what game and mods?
Hey, I heard you got Covid, I hope you get well soon!
Have you seen Harry Potter, because the limbo scene reminds me of the one in deathly hollows.
That's because it was inspired by it :)
