These aren’t actually domed over. They are just spun in a drill and the tops are rounded over and polished and then epoxied in place. If you really want dome a pin, take a piece of thin brass or copper and drill a hole in it the size of your desired pin after doming and place it over the pin and start striking your pin. The thin brass/copper protects your wood. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching.
I’m still a beginner, but a lot of your steps here can be applied to my projects. I have always considered Bowie knives to be over the top blingy. Not so with this one. With the subtle matte finish, it looks more like a blade I’d carry. Beautiful as always!
Another great Series, Denis! I really enjoyed watching it, and as usual, I learned a few more valuable tips! Thanks for sharing, and helping me to better my Bladesmithing skills! I appreciate you my brother! 💯🔥💙☯️😎👍🏻
Im working on this exact blade this weekend i printed it off your patreon. Im going to try some wrought iron for the first time for guard and pomel. Beautiful job 👍
Yeah, it happens on occasion. Particularly with buckeye burls. IRS not that uncommon to have to fill some with CA glue so great to have it on hand. Thanks for watching, Bryson.
Its more about not the best wood, stabilising resin doesn't really fill up such big holes, its always a bit of a risk with that kind of woodburl. It does give a handle some character imho when you do fix it with glue. in this case its a very dark handle so the black glue works fine with that.
Well, a good stabilization can certainly reduce voids like this. When I get wood from Oleg at knife-wood.com, I never get voids like this. Thanks for watching.
@@johntwite2421ha, sorry autocorrect got me. COTTON ball. 😜. I think I got it at Jantz or one of the knife supply companies. Maritime doesn’t carry it.
I really got a lot out of this. Thank you! Would love a deep dive on how you get your domed polished pins done without ruining the wood like I do!

They can be blingy, but also simple yet elegant. I like both. 😜. Thanks for watching
That came out beautiful! Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you! Cheers!

Great looking blade and series brother!
Thanks, Tony!
I'm ready to watch the Master series.
Yup, I’ll be doing a series when I start my MS knives. 😉
@@TyrellKnifeworks I've been trying, but I've still got a ways to go. Someday......
@@OrrCustoms I’m just gonna let it happen. Once I get a knife I feel is good enough I’ll set it aside. Well, except the dagger. 😜
Thanks for showing the handle work !! Looks awesome!
I’m glad it was helpful. Thanks for taking a look!
Great looking knife!
Thanks for watching this build!

Nice! Send me a pic for Viewer Knives! 👍
Legendary quality
Thanks for taking a look!
Man I love carbide bits. They have saved me a time or two!
Worth every penny! 😉. Thanks for watching.
Beautiful knife. I love it. ~Kevin
Thanks for checking it out, Kevin!
Great job 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Great build sir!🤙
Thanks for checking it out!
Frustrating to get the handle close and find voids, but obviously you saved it. Clearly buying stabilized wood from the right source is important.

Great job.
Thanks for sharing.
Question: the size of the pin used for the handle looks smaller than the hole in the tang. Am I missing something ?
It’s an illusion. The hole is 1/16”, which is what the pin is. 😉. Thanks for watching.
Very nice knife!
Is that a large divot out of the wood below the pin on the left side of the handle?
Well it was, but it was filled with CA glue in the video. It’s totally smooth now. Thanks for watching

Denis, do you have a more detailed video on coke-bottle handles?

@@TyrellKnifeworks thanks Denis!!
How thick is your handle before shaping here at the beginning of video
I don’t quite remember but probably 1 inch wide by 1.5 tall and 4.5” long. Thanks for watching.
Muito bom ! Bela.
Obrigado por dar uma olhada!
How do you use the 1500 compound
You mix it into a paste with 3 in 1 oil and then rub it onto the blade with a bottom ball. Thanks for watching
Not sure what a bottom ball is and where would a guy purchase this compound thank you
