People love and forgive the way they are loved and forgiven and the way they have learned to love and forgive. Mama Joe, you have taken all the ways you have been loved and grown to be a wonderful loving and forgiving person. I love you.
the forgiveness aspect i have seen others do this such as Eva Mozes Kor she was a survivor Auschwitz for decades she was so angry and it dragged her down so much she was reliving the childhood trauma she received. it was when she met a nazi doctor and he was been very remorseful and it was through that she started to forgive him and she then forgave them all, she did not forget what happened but it gave her the strength to actually mentally heal. her story is on UA-cam its a must watch i was in tears you have to watch it "Eva Mozes Kor: The "Mengele Twin"
@@mamajoe7715 sometimes we find healing in the strangest places even the darkness that scard us. My grandpa told me of the camps he found it hard to convey the horror, the lack of hope and the depravity. And to be able to forgive those that did that to you I don't think I would have that strength if it was me.
I've had a past of self harm, too. For me it was a control thing. I couldn't control what was going on in my life but I felt like I could control this thing. I know it doesn't make sense but I was in a very dark place. Not a whole lot makes sense there.

That means the world to me!
This is everything. Thank you both! Best conversation I've heard in the longest. ❤

Hers is a very inspiring story! And how fortunate it was that she and the doctor met. Very healing for both.
