This never got much air time because of the advertisement firm that put this together used a bit too much 'artistic license'. The articulating of the launcher and firing was unrealistic at the time and that jump scene was a big issue. I was part of the water scenes but I remember when the filming was done the crew doing the rough terrain scenes were not happy on what they were being asked to do. Hard to believe it was 34 years ago!
I remember you, it was a fun thing to do and now I am immortalized on youtube. My son just saw your post and asked if I knew you. It took me a few hours (that was awhile ago) and the more I thought about it the more I remembered the name.
My apologies to your son... I saw the last name and the video and was posting before I realized. For the world to know... you my good man where a hero to me. Will never forget the speech ya gave us (and had used on my own troops later) about we are not here for coins/medals but to do the job. Be well my friend and blessing to you and yours.
No worries at all, he thought it was cool that I actually knew you. Thank you for saying what you said, I am glad I was inspirational to you. Thank you and you take care too.
Yeah he knows, point in fact after it was done... I remember him mocking that point as if it was all electric motor as opposed to hydraulic. and yeah I realize ya said this years ago lol
