I just bought the Zero 2. Compared to my previous Chu 2 DSP and having the Tangzu Wan'er right now, I'd say they're almost similarly tuned. But Zero 2 has a better thump on bass, has clearer highs and treble. Wan'er has the better mids, clarity and has a good bass. Chu 2 has the best fit for me ears, more premium build, and a well balanced out of the three. Whatever you choose on those three are still a bang for the buck in my opinion because they're all well-made for the price range they're being sold to. Another recommendation is buy the Moondrop Springtips or Tangzu Sancai Widebore if their stock eartips hurt your ears.
Awesome video! I just recently ordered a pair. As someone who only ever listens to Sennheiser HD650's and occasionally airpods pro (but sick of the battery life) and looking for a budget pair of IEM's do you think this is a good purchase? I don't mind bass at all but I do like some high end. Is the high end recessed or drowned out at all? Not willing to go over $25 dollars, honestly, and the Zero 2 looked good to me. Thanks, and subscribed!
do you think ew200 can compete with 100-200$ range or it's just good in 50$ range. im asking this because 50$ is a lot in our country and i dont want to buy anything after it.
@@jayyaudiowhat about aria 2? I really like the accessories with it(I'm on the bassy side but would also appreciate good sound staging) what do you think jay?
Hey Jay, would you be able to recommend me a set for vocals? I listen to recitations of the Qur'aan which is mainly just vocals with some echoing. I've had the original Zero's and liked them but am now looking for a slight upgrade. I was looking for a set anywhere between 20-$45 US. I tend to prefer audio that's more balanced, yet still vocal focused, and less airy - Just for reference: I've had the Chu originals in the past and found them a little too airy for me. Thanks man.
Jay, would you be reviewing Timeless 2? There is Hidizs MP145, Kiwi Melody, Kefine Klanar and Timeless 2, Hifi P1max - need to pick one; I don't have a planar; hence curious. Hope when you do the review, you will be comparing. Cheers.
Jay just to comment about 1-the melody i'm pretty sure that your mentioned melody being airy and sparkly in your iem ranking list and 3-btw what do you mean when say sparkly?
Oh yea I did, totally forgot. I'll need to re-listen to them once I get them back and let you know then. Sparkly as in lively/sharp/light kinda like when something sparkles. Haven't heard the Lancer 1 so not sure about that, but earbuds should have better staging than iems overall.

Graphs don't tell the whole story. I have qkz hbb and waner and their graphs look similar. However it doesn't describe how impactful the bass is on qkz. Waner doesn't come close even if you eq up the bass. So don't just look at the graphs, look at reviews of people. Zero 2 are definitely not as bassy as I see a lot of people say they are similar to waner and og zeros. So if you want to buy a more balanced iem than the qkz then go for it or better yet save some money and buy a 40-50$ iem that will be a proper upgrade

Is it worth waiting for price to drop for the 2nd version or should I just buy the original one already? I mostly prefer details and listen to all genres.
I've got tangzu waner and they sound harsh to me. But I do like how open and balanced they sound. Would zero 2 be any different than this and would they be less harsh? Do you have a recommendation for an iem that is very smooth but doesn't lose detail? I'm not exactly sure what makes waner harsh to me, is it upper mids, treble, air?
That would be a great move. I tune my Tanchjim One with a flatter pinna and more bass. Rosefinch has later pinna, but yeah I can think of anything budget in the reduced pinna category.
