Their singer has a very interisting singing style and sick growls.
This song made me think about Alkaloid... especially their Cthulhu song... Love what Morean does with Dark Fortress too...
Perfect time to check out obscura, I've been listening since cosmogenesis and the general consensus I've been seeing is that this is their best album. I think it has the least low vocals of them all though, which is a shame because they're fucking awesome.
You should check out Obscuras singer/guitarists Melodic Black Metal Band "Thulcandra" also, their inspired by "Dissection" and a couple other black metal bands

Thanks for the comment about the vocal techniques spectrum in relation to music. I love this channel for the technique talk, but as a guy in his 40s, most of the metal I'm into - like OSDM, progressive death, brutal death metal, black metal, etc. has a more limited display of techniques per song (or maybe even per album or band!) than Deathcore for instance. Deathcore isn't really my thing, but sometimes that symphony of techniques hits right for me, yet I would like to see more analyses of bands like this - if for nothing else, but than as a deep dive into different techniques and sounds.

That's funny, I've only heard one Obscura song before and that's Akroasis, which features entirely high vocals and no lows. I didn't even know their vocalist could do lows like this, sounds like a completely different person.

Decayer - Devil's Tongue would be killer man! Or Bonecarver - Moon Maniac! Or any song off their album, the whole thing is brutal. Howard Jones would be sick too. I really hope him and Jared Dines keep making stuff together! Or Pyrithion - Rest in the Arms of a Paralyzed Beast!! Their EP is amazing and is some of my favorite stuff by Tim Lambesis.
