I remember when botw first came out, and there were only a few people who would do 3 heart straight to Ganon runs. Now there are hundreds of people doing that on master mode, but as fast as they can and with harder strats
Remenber when you played BotW for first time and it feel like the hardest Zelda game of the history... Well, now people have to create crazy challenges to feel that feeling again.
I always thought it was the easiest, because I could actually beat it. It only required skill, not mental reasoning to figure out what I was going to do next. Not that I actually had any skills, but I just got lucky a lot.
@Raiden same, most puzzles were very easy for me, barely had to look at guides. For older Zelda games I couldn't even pass first dungeon without looking up a guide lmao those were hard af. Combat system was also very wonky.
I don't know if you would be willing to put in as much time as it would take, but a "all chests" run would be cool (including the unobtainable chests like the one kleric recently got)
wonder if when fighting the lynel it would be worth it to get a spiked boko bow or soldiers bow to shoot the lynel instead of the travelers bow it looked like you were using. also using motion for the magnesis and really really flicking the boulder does a ton more damage. great vid!
Is there a category for this speedrun? I would love to see other runs for this looks really fun. Also during the lynel fight you should parry the attacks then headshot ik its slower but wayyy easier then trying to headshot in the middle of an attack.
15:12 yes they all cheat on mastermode. I have one clip on my channel of a Boko breaking the physics just to get back in the fight fast. I have plenty more to upload. They skip animations, lynels will go to the bow if they don't get a hit after so long, Bokos can slide while you're in bullet time to dodge headshots. The AI is a huge cheat on this game 🤣🤣👍🏾
Thanks to this, I learned a valuable lesson. You can indeed reload a save file to try a new drop from the Lynel. After seeing four Long Throw Crushers in a row, I was starting to doubt.
Bruh I just realized I'm better at fighting Lynels than Limcube. Glad the one thing I can actually do in botw i can do well. 3:00 Just parry all his moves and you have a clean headshot each time, your welcome. His moves are hella telegraphed so parrying gets super easy once yo'ure used to it
Great new video as always Lim! I missed stream this day so I'm grateful for the video! And the new editor is awesome - I really like what they did with the footage!
I wonder if we'll ever be able to practically implement advanced combat into runs. Like imagine if we could fit in time for a skew bounce set up in a master mode run to get some more damage during slow parts of the boss rush. Or figuring out a route that includes the Hylian shield and more arrows, so runners can shield block reset as they please. Routes like that though would probably take lots of clipping/planning, so as for the detours to actually be worth it.
lim i gotta say. your awesome. also the mastermode any% i kinda hate because of btbs :/ its just too annoying. oh also now that im actually watching it i will say, if you parry -> headshot its alot easier, some of the crusher attacks are annoying to parry and its easier to just shoot him, but parrying is kinda op fyi
It's possible to throw the Boulder and sprint up to it. After throwing if timed right you can utilize the cool down for your stamina and repeat a lot. Good luck!
could it be faster to take the knights claymore with durability up on the sky platforms near the waterfall and then kill the lynel? That was how I did it the first time though it took many attempts
I stream runs almost every day at: www.twitch.tv/limcube
Currently testing speedruns with the new Master Sword Glitch

This looks interisting and that last attempt shows how quick this can be done, if you hadnt died to the Ganons that would have been super fast.
Lim I love youuuuuuuuuuu
Crazy as usual lol
Parry then headshot
870th
imagine if large boulders one-shot boss enimies, that would make this run not that much slower than normal mode
Even without that, there is currently a real point that master mode can be almost as fast as any%
@@Limcube right, because you can basically go straight to Ganon
@@GameMarks Exactly and there is actually new strats for calamity with this bow you can 1 shot phase 2
@@Limcube wow, that sounds pretty fast. Thank you for streaming btw, I've been watching for 2.5 years now.
@@Limcube is it realistic in the future that mm is faster? Like with optimal strats

Imagine hundo extended Master Mode 😂😂
That’s a thing
Imagine 100% extended master mode DAMAGELESS.... is it even possible?
@@Kass686 yes
@@blob4477 it isn’t possible. U loose hearts when picking up the 1 hit obliterater

8:28 that's how all my any% runs end
I never even heard about Master Mode speedruns and didn't realize there are people doing it but it's so cool :o
Can you do a speedrun on the file where you start with the bow of light and everything
Limcube to throw the boulder super effective you gotta flick your controller with motion control needs to be a flick
I'm excited to see how fast you can get this once you have more practice with the stuff specific to Master Mode - I believe!

Reject Lynel return to rock
"Whats he doing!?!? He's cheating!!" I literally laughed out loud so hard at that!! So funny! 😂😂😂
Haha, ich merke erst JETZT, dass du Deutsch bist.
Haha, totally…

You can dodge a lynels dash by pulling out a bomb and holding it over your head. He just brushes you aside. No damage.
Love ur vids man!!
Botw is already such an amazing game yet you make it so much better for me!
Hate that delayed guardian beam
Nice vid
100% speed run
Sorry you could not beat your time. I hope you can.
Lynel: lol get good bro
The slurp noise is disgusting.
Cool
i love lynel prison strat

I think if you could switch to sword and shield then parry you would have beat him much easier. One backflip sets up the perfect head shots.
Mmmm
Keep up the great content
See? You know how to be nice. Why are you so set on being a jerk to people on other channels?
Repeatedly beat lynel with rock lmcbNotes
Metal boulders kill all lynal speedrun lol
Well we know what all to expect til botw2 comes out
I like this master mode run
But how insane am I?
10 minutes ago lol
Now this is a run with some meat on its bones. Curious how many hours do you have in botw?
The last time I heard him mention it in stream he was pushing 3k hours
Parry?
master mode > normal mode
Your opinion > a lot of other people’s
Basically that is how my lynel fights look like, just without the rock xD PS: 6 down votes came from lynels!
First
why did you say the f word when you got the durability up boomerang? i had given it a like but changed it to a dislike when you said that
could it be faster to take the knights claymore with durability up on the sky platforms near the waterfall and then kill the lynel? That was how I did it the first time though it took many attempts
its defentley slower, the boulder does 100 dmg per hit
I feel you, Lim. I’ve beat Master Mode once. I’m not interested in trying again. It just wasn’t any fun.
Awesome it was so much fun watching this (and u suffer lol) Keep doing the videos!
I hate the french voice actors for botw
Me too.
I think Zelda’s is decent but that’s it
Better than the english voice actors but yeah
