I hope you are proud of the home you have curated. It's lovely, unique, and perfect. I can imagine your sweet girls running around and the laughter that fills your home. As a mom who is entering a new season of life as all my kiddos are entering adulthood. Make all the memories, create lasting traditions, and don't let the hustle and bustle suck you in. Kristen your home is amazing!!! I can only imagine all the time and energy you put into creating this video all the while being a wife and mother to your family! All the sweet touches throughout the home. You have created a safe haven for your family. My sisters and I were reminiscing about our home growing up in the 60's. We didn't have a lot, but we could remember the Christmas decorations our mother would place around the house. They were very simple and of course vintage. The little silver reindeer, our manger nativity that was so small and sweet. We didn't put up a tree until after our dad's birthday on Dec. 15. Lots of tinsel and it was as dry as could be because it was real. Never underestimate the beautiful space you have created for all of your children's memories to someday be. Thank you for inviting us in to tour your home this Christmas. As you went through each room, I was reminded of the items that came to you as a blessing from the Lord, the diy’s that didn’t go as you had hoped but you made it work, and memories of your girls appearing in past videos in the different rooms. If I didn’t know the history of your story and this was the only video of yours I’d seen, I’d think you were wealthy to have a huge, charming old home filled with antiques. You are wealthy in the only way that matters, your love of the Lord and family. May the Lord continue to bless you.

I can't imagine how stressful it is to get the house ready for a tour like this. I just hope you know how appreciated it is. That video was a hug to my soul. As someone who has a home that's over 100 years old, I love seeing what you do in your home as well. I watch quite a few homemakers on YT and your house is probably my favorite. If you were going for a peaceful, old fashioned Christmas vibe, you captured it beautifully. 😍 As an older lady, I so admire how you’ve thrifted so many items and how you manage to incorporate them so flawlessly in your decor. Everything is so beautiful and relaxing. Btw, I have that copper kettle and pewter bread tray. I’ve had them for decades, and got them when they were new. 😉

This year has brought a big change in our family. Without giving details, we are less one family member due to divorce. My husband and I won’t be able to travel to see our children and their families. We have decked out our whole house, just for us. I was feeling a bit down and my husband said “go all out with everything you have and love”, so that’s what I did.
This video and the music brought such comfort and yes, joy! Thanks Kristen.

Most certainly not minimalism. It is restrained, and very tasteful, but you have misunderstood the meaning of minimalism. One design site uses this definition.
"Minimalism is owning fewer possessions and living with only the things you really need." There is nothing minimalist about Kristen's home. I'd take her style over sterile minimalism any day.
This is not at all minimalist everything is decor and not of use. Even the old books she buys just for decor. Minimalist is buying only things of use or with multiple uses. I'm not bashing her, this is gorgeous. Just not minimalist in the least. I mean there's like 100 pots 😂
Cindy Clark, why did you change your original statement, by removing your comment about Kristen having minimalist decor? Better to admit your mistake than cover it up.

Love this! I have to say I loved that you did not talk during the tour and explain each amd every decoration and why you chose those items to decorate with. For me that takes away from the experience. I enjoyed being able to relax, listen to the music, and take in all of the lovely decor.

I LOVE your home tour! It’s been fun watching items that you showed in thrift hauls are being used in your home. Everything is beautiful. I especially want to commend you for using the antlers in your dining room. I imagine that Josh is a hunter. My husband is a hunter. He loves it when I use his antlers in decorating our home. God taught me many years ago that our home should reflect our faith, our family and the values we live by. We’ve been married 41 years. Our home is filled with love, memories and secondhand items.
