25 Week Fetal Echocardiogram Ultrasound Results | IVF Pregnancy

- We are 25 weeks pregnant with our IVF baby! Today we had our fetal echocardiogram done with our MFM (maternal fetal medicine) or high risk OB. If you didn't know, we are a high risk pregnancy due to my blood clotting disorder and that we are having an IVF baby. IVF babies have a higher chance of heart defects so going into the anatomy scan (19-20 weeks) made me super nervous. Today, we received our 25 Week Fetal Echocardiogram Ultrasound Results | IVF Pregnancy. I finally am to a place where I'm more comfortable with our pregnancy and feeling more joy than anxiety so I'm grateful to share more of our pregnancy with you guys.

I completely understand. After 6 miscarriages and 2 failed IVF attempts. Our rainbow baby is 8 mos old and I still think it is unreal! One day I think someone is going to take her away! It just can’t be real life. Prayers to you two!

I was a twin born 7 weeks early and with a small hole in my heart that has not closed and I am now 65 years old and have never had an issue. The line on your belly totally normal and will darken as you progress in your pregnancy. Your little man is going to be so loved.

Thanks for sharing! I’m 8 weeks pregnant with my first pregnancy achieved through IVF. My ob just told me I have to get 3 ultrasounds with MFM. I had no idea that would be a thing after IVF

My son’s heart looked perfect on ultrasound. When he was born we were given the news that he had two holes in his heart. 1 normal and 1 not normal. He never had any issues and within a year he was discharged by his cardiologist and said that he doesn’t have to come back. He’s 2 now and perfect! ♥️ (natural conception no help)
Congratulations!!!! I cried after this type of appointment with our IVF twin girl pregnancy. The line is totally normal and is called Linea Nigrea. It basically translates to, “the dark line”. If you look it up on Google it will be explained in detail. Noticed mine earlier on when I was pregnant with our twins! Congratulations again and you deserve it tooo much. God is good💙💕😍
Omg I am soo happy for you. I’m sitting in a parking lot watching this because I couldn’t wait until I got home. I know what you mean about the waiting for bad because it’s what you’re used to getting. I’m having a hard time preparing for out 8th round of IVF and that’s exactly how I’m feeling but trying to stay positive. So happy for you guys? Of course the linea nigra is totally normal! The hormones increase your melanin, you'll also notice that your areolas are getting darker too. I've read that some experts suppose it is to help the baby (that can't see clearly yet) to find its way to the breast once he's born. Isn't it wonderful?!! 🤩😍

The line is totally normal and it took mine like 6 months to disappear after pregnancy, so heads up on that!! Lol. I look forward to all your updates and I’m so glad to hear baby B is doing so well!

My middle child has the fetal echo bc she had a premature atrial contraction in her heart that thankfully cleared up. Our son was born with a while in the heart that closed up fully. So glad to hear everything is going so well!!

I have 2 ivf baby (well one is a toddler) boys. Soooo nerve wracking being pregnant. I faked a bleed at least once in the early weeks just so I could get an appt:) I wasn't told to worry about the heart at all. I only found out about the heart thing from a youtuber. You are going to have a healthy, full term baby boy!!!! Love you guys. So happy for you.
You and me are almost same weeks. I'm 26 weeks exactly today. First time in my life I am able to reach this far . I feel horrible due to my non ending morning sickness but I'm happy whenever I feel the baby's movement.

Congratulations!!!!! I am 32 weeks pregnant with IVF pregnancy as well. Had to go to the same type scan, I am considered a highr risk, IVF over 35 and I know exactly how you might feel!

I bought a seatbelt adjuster on Amazon for around $20. Highly recommend for all pregnant mommas! I’m 34.5 weeks and it’s so much more comfortable and safe in case you get in a car accident. I was actually rear ended around 25 weeks and have had one ever since. I just wanted to let you know in case you hadn’t seen them :)

That line is very normal. I’m at 21 weeks with my first. I started noticing a faint line at week 16. 🥰🥰🥰 I’m so happy to hear everything is going great with your baby. I’ve also been very hesitant to believe that I’ll be able to bring my baby boy home in September.

The belly line is called a linea nigra, and it's a pregnancy thing...definitely not your pants haha! 👍

My daughter is right behind you. She is due Sept 11th. She has had 7 previous miscarriages and delivered 2 stillborn daughters. This time she is also having a little boy just like the 2 of you. Because of her history I have not been able to relax and enjoy her pregnancy because I keep waiting for something to go wrong, or something to show up. They tell her he is very healthy, growing right on target and that things look good but I cannot relax. He looked great at the anatomy scan. No issues at all. He is healthy. In the 47th percentile for height and the 52nd percentile of weight. The only thing that they learned is that he has really big feet. My daughter is 5ft 5. Justin in 5ft 7. Hayley wears a size 10 shoe and so does Justin. My husband, grandpa, wears a size 14 shoe so I guess our little fella is gonna be short with huge feet. So glad everything went well with your echocardiogram. It sounds like you are on the way to having a very happy baby. I just keep praying my daughter gets her healthy baby boy too. I will begin to relax some when she gets to about 32 to 34 weeks along. At least then if he comes early he has a much better chance of fewer complications. Good luck to you.

Stay calm and happy Carissa, you got this. Best thing for baby is relaxed happy vibes at this stage, but am sure you know this. NO MORE WORRYING!! ( a little prayer for me - I am trying for my first at 44!) Been trying for 6 months. The line usually appears in people with some indigenous blood in them - or that's what I thought. I have seen it on women before it is very common and will likely get darker than vanish after you give birth.

3 of my babies was born with a small hole in the heart (Heart MurMur) It has since closed and they're completely fine. I was born with an enlarged heart and I'm fine.

They made me worried about my daughter having a hole in her heart. I had an echo with her while still pregnant like you did and 3 more after she was born. She was a slow closer and has a slight murmur but other than that perfectly healthy! Enjoy your pregnancy girl, you guys deserve it.❤🤗

Hi I am so happy for you! I know how you feel. My daughter is 25 weeks pregnant today and she is high risk pregnancy complications to get pregnant and she doesn't live near me. I am her mum iam in London she is in Scotland. I had her young when I was 18. I can't relax. We been told she needs to be monitored growth scan and waiting for appointment. I understand why you so anxious because I am to the point she knows gender but I didn't want to know for now up to 28 weeks I call it peanut. I love this peanut so much. Is it normal each week I check what chance baby has if its born now. If you have any good words or ideas how to by pass this anxiety let me know hun. PTSD sucks. I totally feel this. I've had 5 miscarriages and a lost tube cause of an ectopic and everytime I want to see a positive test, I know I get crazy nervous about what will happen next. People that have not suffered from miscarriages have no idea what it's like. We have to get repeat HCG blood tests after we see a positive, we have to go on progesterone to maintain the lining, etc etc etc. If people say they had an easy pregnancy, they must be lying. How is it so "easy"?
