I had the opportunity to fill in on a US tour for Zeal & Ardor back in November/December of 2021, with Opeth and Mastodon. It was an insane experience and a bit surreal, especially for my first tour back since 2017. I feel like I made some amazing friends with everyone in Z&A, and I truly can't thank them enough for the opportunity. The music is incredibly unique and a lot of fun to play live, and they're just a bunch of really awesome human beings. This is one of two videos I recorded for Z&A material. I'm also slowly chipping away at another solo EP, and I'm really excited to start posting more about that in the future. I still need to track and record everything, produce, mix, vocals, etc... But, another EP is definitely in the works, and I can't wait to finish everything up.

What a great cover to a great song
Your drum covers are tasty as a set of nuts to a chronic nob-gobbler but what I find tastier is that little neck tweek you have every time you smash that snare.
As a fellow (albeit significantly less skilled/talented) drummer, I fucking loving getting into/seeing other drummers getting into the beat so hard that your whole body reacts to the pulse instinctively.
Also, that scream at the end is pure gold.

I opened the video and went "wait isn't this the guy who played with them last year?" and it sure is, no wonder your playing so clean. This song was fucking AMAZING live. I think this, Run, and Feed the Machine were my top 3 songs when I saw them in Gothenburg a week ago.

Hi great job, how do you mute the drum sound off the original track?
I don't, unfortunately. There are apps that allow you to do this, but I usually don't stress too much on taking out the drums. Mid/side EQ'ing, some multi-band compression, you can get your drums to sit nicely over top. I think having some of the original drums still in the mix helps to mesh my drums into the song a bit more. \m/
