all of the green wheelies are actually from green team when they used to collect north, central and east san jose until 2002 while you're here, do you know any GT collection routes? I plan on trying to film some of their labries, ZRs and expert 2000s in a couple of weeks
@@GarbageTrucksofSanJose GreenTeam did those areas before 2002? I thought Western Waste/USA Waste/Waste Management did the ENTIRE city. Any idea what type of trucks they used back in those days? As for routes, GreenTeam mainly serves West San Jose. I have no idea regarding routes.
@@Trainlover1995 western waste only handled south and west san jose, while green team handled the rest of the city. in 2002 they restructured everything so norcal basically took everything except west san jose, which is what green team got to keep
@@Trainlover1995 the norcal contract started in 2002. my friend lives in east SJ, and has a driver who used to do the yellow recycling crates on his current route when he worked at green team prior to 2002. he remained on it until a year after norcal took over also just look around. any black wheelies you see that have serial numbers starting with "W32/64" stood for western waste, and i found a picture from mercury news of a peterbilt 310 rapid rail from western waste collecting one of those black wheelies. you really only see those black wheelies in west san jose, and most of south san jose. all of the green wheelies you see starts with "G32/64" for green team, and they're found in north, central, and east san jose. the MFG stamp shows they were made in the early 90s so they've been around for at least that long. i found some old pdf's a while back detailing the "before/after" zone maps though i can't find them now. you can probably find them if you really dive deep into san jose's franchise agreement contracts or whatever
Depends on what company. We have 4 different company picking up materials here. Garden city sanitation for garbage (north, south, east San Jose), cailfornia waste Soultions for recycle (north, south, east San Jose) , green waste recovery for yard waste (city wide). Green team of San Jose who serves west San Jose they pickup trash and recycling in those areas.
@@refusecollectionofsanjose You forgot GreenTeam, which collects both garbage and recycling in the West Valley and Willow Glen, as well as all materials in unincorporated Santa Clara County.
Amazing very nice video bro.
I find it amazing that, even in 2022, there are still a lot of the old carts issued by Western Waste, USA Waste, and Waste Management still around.
