Hello from Kenya. As a student in the US, I got to visit Mark Dever’s church for the weekend and got to see his library and how he prepared for Sunday worship. Mark is really committed to the ministry of the word of God to God’s people. The worship and preaching were very Christocentric.
I wonder if Ligonier will ever edit RC Jr out of these video? Really terrible optics keeping him in.
@@sssimplydave Tragically, RC Jr isn't finished with scandalizing the body of Christ. His scandals, some even more grotesque than earlier scandals, continue unabated. But perhaps his biggest current scandal is putting himself back into ministry by starting a church and calling himself Pastor sans any church authority to do so. He's a law unto himself. And I can't help but wonder, is Ligonier still secretly paying him six figures as an "independent contractor" as they did for at least several years after he supposedly "resigned"? Hard to tell since Ligonier will neither confirm nor deny it.
I don't want to see Ligonier take down these Q&A videos entirely because RC Jr appears in them. Still, these do have an extreme cringiness factor because of him. How much effort would it really be for Ligonier to edit him out?

I love Sproul. How many then , theological mistakes can we make before God removes His Grace. That's an Armenian question. Here is a Reformed question. How far can we go to be not considered , under Grace. Under the Teaching of the church of Rome. Edicts, and traditions of church fathers, (merely man). And self performance must be kept andto kiss the Popes hand evertime when he shows up in town.. Why?then, and what is Grace all about. Why is it alone and given by faith. Answer:: Grace is something that no one has as far as a nessasary condition to be saved. We are born as children not believing in our CREATOR. The Bible tells us that our Mother conceived us in sin Ps 51
Eph 2:1, tells us we are dead spiritually on arrival. Eph 2: 8-10, explains how things in our dispositions are changed. Spiritually born dead to the things of God. And by God's Sovereign Grace we are saved. Even faith in Jesus is a gift of Grace from God. Called SAVING grace. Look at Eph ch 2:8 again. For by grace you have been saved...through FAITH. Notice the next line. And that not of your self, FOR IT IS A GIFT OF YOUR CREATOR, GOD. GOD INCARNATE. JESUS OUR CREATOR AND SAVIOR. THE CHRIST .
"How far can we go to be not considered , under Grace." I've wondered about this too. Considering how far RC Jr has _gone_ would you say he's under grace? IOW can one live a scandalous life for decades, remain unrepentant, give yourself the titles "Pastor" and "Rev" with no church authority to do so, incorporate your own "church" and "bible college" as fundraising scams, and still be under grace?
My answer to Sproul Jr .
You can't put the 2 together. They are 2 opposites. One is saved by grace alone, and the Catholic church is damaged, because it teaches that you Have to believe not only in Jesus CHRIST alone and His Finished and final accomplishments as a substitute and Atonement for our sin. But now you have to add all this other stuff. Vigil for the dead. Nothing wrong with morning with someone you love. Absolutely we should always mourn over a lost loved one. However, ritual and ceremony and all this religious experiences and movement. Is supposed to reflect what the Bible has to say about redemption and salvation. Not even close but far and distant and distinct. why did The Son of God come. To be a good MORAL teacher as all religions claim. Absolutely not.. GOD manifest in Flesh. The God Who Created everything. Came to Earth. Jesus, Fully God and fully man. Satisfied God's HOLY mandate and Justice ⚖
Took our beloved sin and became our Probitiation. ( Satisfying God's JUSTICE AGAINST OUR SIN and vain imaginations and our Rebelled hearts against Him.) And paid by His blood a penalty you and I deserve. And ROSE FROM THE dead defeated death we deserve. Fall on your face. You are CONDEMNED to eternity in Hell. God is RICH IN MERCY. CALL TO JESUS AND ONLY HIM NOTHING ELSE IS NEEDED, EXCEPT THAT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE TRANSGRESSED AGAINST GOD YOUR WHOLE LIVE. AND YOUR READY TO SURRENDER YOUR WILL TO HIS SOVEREIGN LORDSHIP OVER YOU. You think that's hard. It is. The heart is deceitful and wicked .
Once you truly repented and trust Jesus. Then YOU WILL BE BORN AGAIN. JOHN CHAPTER 3. Ezk 36: 25- 29.
